This fall I found a great manure fork here (no I don't live in Iowa but it's a great garden tool and mine got "lost" in my last move). PS, the big orange didn't even have one. Price: I was pricing Weber bbqs this summer and the units here were 10% less than pocket ace or Elk Grove. That got my attention. I recently got a great shovel for $16.99 on sale. Yes, a sale. You will have a range of options and usually there is a cheap(Er) option than at other stores, and better made. Recently I was pricing shovels at Home Depot and their cheaply made unforged (but costly) shovels couldn't match the shovel I bought at Hollywood. Help: someone can help you if you ask but you can browse without feeling like you are being stalked. Oddities: my last time here while at check out a customer came in cradling a duck and said out loud "I have a duck that needs repair." No one was fazed. I had an online pick up order for a battery for my car key fob. They knew who I was, and it was quick and easy to pick up. I mentioned to the employee helping me, Cameron, that I always struggle with replacing the battery for my key fob. And then he offered to do it. It's very complicated I should mention! It's not easy, but he looked up how to do it and did it. So awesome & much appreciated! My mother lives just a few blocks away and she said they're always so helpful as well. This store will also recycle batteries and lightbulbs. Just a FYI. I wish my Ace Hardware back home was this friendly and accommodating. Excellent customer service all the way around.
