We have been dying to try this place out for a while but timing had always been off. Today we made a reservation, and they were busy, so on weekends I might say call ahead. The waitress was pretty busy and did take some time to come over to us but in the bigger picture that didn't matter. They have a decent sized draft,can, and bottle list with a focus on local brews. Their food menu is a little on the smaller side, but that makes your choice a little easier to make. They have a good mix of handhelds and burgers, with a few seafood dishes thrown in as well. We started with a large pretzel, that had flake salt on top, very very good. I will mention that the whole grain mustard had a very spicy kick to it! The baked haddock comes in a small dish but is packed with fresh lobster and other seafood and is baked to add some crunch. It was a bit soupy but the flavors were just so perfect together. The bacon Mac burger was pretty much a Big Mac but with a twist, in the way the bacon and the burger are smashed together. I hate to say their French fries are what won me the most, but it's the plain truth. Hands down some of the best fries I have ever eaten. I almost didn't have room for anything else. I took a large portion home with me. The pickle chips they use on their burgers seem homemade and are delicious in their own right. The interior is clean and simple with a Vacationland decor. They had the most innovative check presenters and Marine biodegradable straws !! They have a really cute patio for outdoor dining, with an adorable fire pit and warming stations. DANG! I was thrilled with my experience here. Saw some pictures on Yelp! and decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. The food was great, and please -do not pass up on the fries-I beg of you! Annie our server was awesome. Food came fast, and everyone I encountered staff-wise was welcoming. They have an awesome outdoor space. Inside is very nice, brand spanking new. One of the few places we've visited since the pandemic and they're doing a great job. The outside tent seating suits me just fine (all they're doing currently) and you really don't have to go inside at all unless you want to use the bathroom. Everything else is just as good as it's always been. Great beer selection, good drinks, everything on the menu is fantastic, though lately I've been crushing that house-smoked pastrami reuben to the face. I don't think there's a better one around and I've eaten a lot of 'em. The fries are also top-notch. We've never had any issues with service and I'm just happy they're open. We had lunch at the Dunstan Tap and Table today and it was really nice. It's not fancy but my reuben was exactly what I expected, and that made me happy. I can see where the place could get noisy if it was crowded, but it was pretty subdued on a rainy Thursday at lunch time. Food and service were really good, everything was clean, and parking in the relatively quiet restaurant was easy. I understand there's a fire pit outside, but I didn't check it out because it was raining. I'll be back, I want to explore the menu some more. Four stars because I liked it. Not three because it was better than just okay, and not five because after just one visit I'm not sure that it's really "as good as it gets." In the listing here on Yelp, there's a mention of 2 for $15 lunch specials. Came in on a quiet night and sat at the bar. The space is open, but inviting. Bartender was very friendly and took our orders for drinks. He didn't rush us into placing food orders and let us chat and browse the menu. The beer selection is good with a bunch of local favorites and some other domestic beers that most places carry. We ordered the Brussels Sprout appetizer, and it was delicious. It was a large portion for 2 people...you could definitely split between 3-4. Once we were halfway thru the app, we put our food orders in. I had the fried chicken sandwich, and my partner had the burger. Everything came out piping hot and well presented. The chicken sandwich was delicious but just way too much food for me to finish. My fiancées burger was also good, but she did mention it was cooked well instead of medium as requested. Really nice little gem tucked away off of a major road. Neither of us were in the mood for a drink in the middle of the day but we're happy to find this as an option for lunch before we had a long drive home to New Jersey. This was definitely the right option for us instead of all the fast food in the area. The environment on the inside was fantastic. Big and clean with friendly staff. The reason this review only gets three stars is that I was not wowed by the food. It took someone 10 minutes to come over to my table to see if I wanted anything and no they weren't full by any means. I asked for a menu and being my first time there, I didn't know all I had to do was take a picture of the metal SKU. The girl who sat me down never mentioned it to me. I ordered a Captain and Diet and got a Myers and coke. NASTY. She finally brought me the correct drink after she told me the first one was Captain Morgan. This isn't my first rodeo and there is a HUGE difference between the two rums. I ordered a pizza what contained garlic and there was enough garlic for multiple pizzas. This is a beautiful new restaurant and the food is tasty, but I cannot believe how terrible the value is!!! The first time I went here, I got a salad with steak on it that I paid $20 for. Not a bad price, but I was expecting an entree sized salad. It was the size of a SIDE SALAD with well done steak, although I ordered it medium rare. I also had multiple bites of gristle and nearly broke a tooth. What a rip off. The next two times I came here, I got burgers. I ordered them medium rare, and both came back well done. The second time however the manager/owner was nice enough to comp it from our bill. What stands out to me about the burger though is the prices. You basically pay $12 for just the basic burger and have to pay for everything else separately. Seriously? I live in Boston and I have never paid more than $14 total for a burger and fries with all of the fixings- bacon, cheese, egg, etc. At Dunstan, I ended up paying $22 for my burger, as each of the toppings I added were $2 and I had to pay for my fries. I have eaten at many pubs around the country and I have never seen anything like this. $2 for a slice of American cheese??? I'll bring my own next time! Ridiculous. read more

Dunstan Tap and Table is a stunning restaurant located off of route 1 in Scarborough. It's location provides locals with a new elevated pub-style restaurant with a unique atmosphere. One of my coworkers had been here previously and raved about their aesthetic and food. Eager to try it out, we got a few coworkers together and decided to check it out one afternoon for lunch. The moment you walk in to Dunstan Tap and Table, you feel like you are a part of an HGTV episode...like it literally feels like Chip and Joanna Gaines came in to completely build and decorate the venue. There is a large, oversized barn door connecting to another space with more seating that gives the restaurant a rustic, modern feel. The light fixtures also add to the aesthetic against the various hues of blues, grays, and browns. They have an outside patio space with teal and orange adirondack chairs set around a fire place. There are also cafe-styled tables throughout the patio space to provide optimum seating. My coworkers and I decided to sit outside on the patio, where we were quickly greeted by our waitress who was friendly and prompt throughout our time. Looking at the drink menu, there were some options of craft cocktails along with some draft beer options. The space also provides bottled and canned beer...however, this is where I think Dunstan Tap and Table fell a little short. With the name Dunstant TAP and Table, I was expecting a little bit more from their draft list. When I went, there were only 5 options for draft options (all local!), however, I was fully expecting more given the name. A majority of us ended up ordering some drafts, while my friend opted for a Bloody Mary. The bloody was small, and it tasted okay. As far as the food goes, Dunstan really focuses on sandwiches, burgers, apps, and some larger plate options including seafood, steak, and chicken. The sandwiches and burgers though really seem to be elevated. I ended up ordering a fried chicken sandwich. It was a really large portion and it was served nicely. Dunstan serves chips with their burgers and sandwiches, which I thought was interesting...and getting fries with your meal was a surcharge. I think for the price of my sandwich, it would reflect getting some fries with it, however, the food was good, none-the-less. Overall, Dunstan is a nice, casual space to grab some food with friends. First visit! Was a bit worried after we sat down and got a bad vibe from waitress. That was quickly changed after we told her we would be her easiest table of the night. First off after reading some negative reviews it is obvious that you just can't please everyone. Went there last night Wednesday around 7:30 no reservation and we were a party of Four. Was told 30 min wait so not too bad. Only waiting about 10 min so first star !! Erin our waitress was incredible. I hope the owner sees this post because you don't want to loose this gem. Never wrote our order down all by memory and we made several changes to our order. Our order came out and it was spot on. She didn't miss a thing. Told her I was impressed and she must have years of experience. She said not really so impressed even more. Star #2 The food WOW !!! Steak and cheese, burger , fish and chips we were all looking at one another saying this is unbelievable. Food alone gets 2 more Stars. To top it off a pretty descent beer menu so another star. We always love trying new restaurants at new places and I saw this one had four stars so we decided to go. Upon arriving we noticed it was very busy, so we were worried about the wait. Despite it being very busy we got a table right away, and they do have the option of outdoor or indoor seating which is always nice. While sitting at the table we just happened to notice the QR code to scan for the menu, it would have been nice to have been told that/offered a menu, but that is not a big deal. We were waited on after having a few minutes to look at the menu on our phones. The food came out pretty quickly as well. Our waitress came and checked on us one time right after the food was delivered, which I like when we are left alone to eat, but I finished my drink pretty early on into my meal and would have liked a refill. I also was offered a selection of sides, because the burger automatically comes with a side. I chose tater tots, unknowing that they would be 5 dollars extra, this was not a factor big enough to ruin the experience, but would have been nice for our waitress to mention. Margaretta, is a high recommendation from me, as I enjoy heat over sweet and that is exactly what you get in DTAT's take on a margarita. We also shared the mussels. The broth was phenomenal and included their very own daily-made chorizo that is so flavorful and pairs perfectly with the Margaretta! This is an amazing restaurant that knows how to take care of its customers. This was the first place my wife and I choose to go once the restrictions were lifted. We couldn't wait any longer and man they delivered and let me say they always deliver on consistency. The fried chicken sandwich is amazing and the hand cut fries seal the deal. They have a great bar stocked with all of our local favorites. I'm not saying this lightly, but if you have any complaints about Dunstan, your too picky and should stay home.
