Shopping in Rowland Heights, California... My friend, CeCe (from Northern California), sent me an Instagram reel of Duoduo Snacks. She knows that I like cute stuff... that's mostly what I saw in the reel... LOL! Shared free parking made this quick visit much easier. I grabbed a shopping cart and briskly walked through the aisles of beverages, cookies, candies, crackers, etc. I aimed for the keychains, plushies, and hair accessories. Heading over to the cashier, she informed me that membership was free and the immediate benefit is 20 percent off a purchase of $100 or more. I gathered a few more items and added them to my haul. Duo Duo Snacks caught our eyes as we were seeking for The Alley (boba shop) at the Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights. Duo Duo is way in the back of the plaza. You can't miss it. Wow, it's definitely a store for the snacks, toys, and household goods connoisseurs! My eldest daughter and I perused around the store aisle by aisle just to see what variety of snacks and other knick knacks they have. The variety was astonishing. Kid you not, I think there were at least 20+ flavors of Lay's potato chips. Funny, I did not see the original flavors like classic, sour cream & onion, BBQ or I may have missed them LOL. Just come prepared to find some unique flavors. They don't just sell snacks... they also sell toys and misc stuff. We found the organization of the goods on the shelf to be slightly lacking along the walls. They weren't the best organized and presented. We ended up buying 3 bags of Lay's chips (oyster, crab, and scallop flavors) and original flavor seaweed rolls. Prices were okay. Although there were a lot of people, our wait time in line was not very long. Staff was friendly. It's a fun spot to check out if you love Asian snacks and toys. We'll have to come back here to peruse more next time. Please note the date on some of the snacks may be production dates. Don't assume the date is the expiration date. There may be a note in Chinese writing that indicates how many months after the production date the product is best by. Unfortunately, it can be confusing if one doesn't know Chinese writing. Don't really know why this place has such a low rating, but I had a great time wandering around and looking at all the unique imported snacks and goods here. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Diamond Plaza and need to kills some time (cough cough waiting for Chubby Cattle cough cough). Sometimes I'm a bit skeptical when there are snack shops touting that they have uniquely imported snacks as many times it's either grossly overpriced or things you can get normally at any Asian market, but not here! Very fairly priced goods and LOTS AND LOTS of things that I have never seen before in other snack shops, Asian grocery stores, Asian American Expo, and even online/on social media for that matter. Aside from snacks they have lots of Pop Mart blind box goods here, so if you're into that life style, no need to travel out of your way for them, home goods, accessories, and plushies too. As for snacks they have a good selection of savory snacks ranging from unique chips, jerky, pickled and dried goods, instant noodles, and sweet snacks ranging from cakes, ice cream, candies, and so much more. Got some really cheap Poke'mon Instant Noodle snacks which were quite yummy (60 cents a decent bag), soda candies that I have never seen before, and peach and vanilla Coke. Located next to Chubby Cattle in Rowland Heights, this bright new Chinese snack and random supplies shop has a lot of exotic snacks for fairly affordable pricing. However a lot of the writing was in Chinese, so I have a hard time buying things if I had no clue what it was. My boyfriend and I came over after having dinner in this plaza, and it was close to their closing time so we did not have as much time to browse the store fully. While we were there we did come across a glorioussssss selection of Lays of all sorts of exotic flavors. We ended up getting the Fried Crab and Roasted Garlic Oyster flavors. Pretty interesting. We also got the individual portion of the White Rabbit ice cream. I've seen these at the Asian grocery markets but didn't want to commit to a whole box. It was nice to have the individual portion to try. It was not too sweet and had that thick consistency. Interesting to try. Definitely my type of store! Literally an entire market of my all my favorite sections in other asian markets. They even had tiny little shopping carts for kids to push around! My kids had so much fun pushing my snacks for me. I loved the variety of asian snacks, ice creams, ramens, and drinks they had. They also had some beauty supplies and toys, but I didn't really look at those. Parking was difficult to find, since they share a very large lot with tons of other businesses. DuoDuo is one of my go to snack stores when I am in the area in Rowland Heights!! There are SO many options for an amazing price! They have pretty much every Chinese snack you and think of, blind boxes, home goods, and cute trinkets! There is a bit of a language barrier with the workers but it's not a big issue since I normally come here to browse and buy snacks and typically don't have any issue finding things. Soft Opening this weekend! Located in Diamond Plaza next to Chubby Cattle, enjoy the warehouse-like style shopping of snacks. From candy, chip, dried fruits and drinks, plenty of great selection and deal. Currently they have a special with extra discount if you spend $100+. We found a case of ice tea for $3.60! Find those snacks to be at least 20% cheaper than the supermarkets. Cashier are seemingly new to the process when we checked out. They are also currently on cash only. This place is dangerous to your pockets and maybe even health, hahaha.. everything is great and their selection of snacks are overwhelming! I couldn't decide what I wanted and what I shouldn't get because they're unhealthy for me. We walked around all over and bought a lot of snacks. They also have drinks, instant ramen or noodle of some sort, beauty care, hobbies, and there is a public restroom. The service was like a normal market, we walked around looking at all the snacks not knowing where anything was. Whenever I visit SoCal, I always try to look for imported snacks that we can't find anywhere else. I've visited other establishments known for snacks thanks to influencers promoting on instagram such as Resco Food Service and GoGoSonic. Duoduo Snacks is located at Diamond Plaza and is surrounding by many popular restaurants and shops. So don't be surprised if finding parking is a bit tough during peak hours. I believe it took over the old Gen location (according to my friend). The establishment itself is not huge but it has, by far, the best snack selection I've seen. They have a whole aisle of imported Lay's from China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc. I had a ball throwing a variety of bags into my cart. They also have different corn snacks/chips, ice creams, drinks, tofu snacks, etc in the other aisle. They also have blind boxes if you're interested in those. Prices are pretty fair compared to other places I've been to. If you spend over $100, you do get 20% off but I think they also charge a credit card fee if you pay by credit card (according to one of the signs). The only down part is there may be a language barrier with the cashiers. They either speak no English or very minimal English. Apparently they do have a membership system but it's all through WeChat. I did sign up but I have no clue how it works beyond signing up. Overall, I really enjoyed the selection at DuoDuo and will definitely visit again. This Duo Duo Snacks is located at the back of Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights (next to Chubby Cattle). They have a lot of varieties of snacks and they also have some cute products such as household products and toys. However, the layout of the store is a bit confusing. It was so crowded on the weekend so it caused me a headache. I was also frustrated that some of the food items were without pricing or the labels were not big enough. They also have many products only described in Chinese so it can be confusing to someone who doesn't know Chinese such as my hubby. At first glance, DuoDuo Snacks can be a bit overwhelming. But it really does have a great selection of sweet and savory snacks (and that includes instant noodles too!). Freezers in the store's back hold a decent ice cream selection, and there truly is a fantastic collection of drinks in the back as well. For those crazy about blind boxes, they have some popmart and Nanci selection which are relatively similar in price to the actual popmart in South Coast. We saw this new store open in the plaza that we just ate at so we went inside to check it out. There were so many choices of Asian snacks, drinks, beauty products and toys to choose from. I picked up the Lays roasted skewered lamb flavor and some other shrimp flavored ones. Also, I got the strawberry ice cream cone that I always seen in the convenience shops in Japan, which tasted so good. If you truly love getting snacks, this is the place to shop. I saw two other families ahead of me easily spend over $50 to get a chance and spin the wheel to get a gift. The lines weren't loon since they just opened, but the workers there were friendly and quick with their service. You can also sign up for a membership by giving your phone number too. He did not handle the items carefully; each time he scanned the items he just tossed or threw them to the side instead of gently pushing them to the side.
