Love love love Dutch Bros! This is always a must-stop for us when we visit my boyfriend's grandparents in Auburn. We usually come at least once a day while we're in town. My go-to is a large iced earl grey tea. They use premium tea from Harney & Sons so the flavor is excellent. My boyfriend was a bit disappointed to find that they only do Americanos and not drip coffee, but he loves their mochas both hot and iced. The staff is always friendly and energetic. Dry Creek location is By Far the best DB in Auburn... the Only option in my opinion. It's not the most convenient for me, but I gladly drive past the Elm location to get to it... You know, maybe it's the phase of the moon or the time of year, or maybe it's me. Maybe it's because I was sleep deprived and slightly cranky but I had the most horrifyingly awkward experience at this Dutch Bros coffee yesterday. Like, to the point where I 100% will be avoiding this location going forward. 1. The young man who took my order kept reaching into my car to touch my shoulder/arm. It happened at least three times, and I flinched every time. It felt invasive and deeply uncomfortable. Additionally, once I gave my order of "Large soy chai" he started babbling about how I'd ordered "exactly!" the same thing as the guy in front of me, except that he was getting a soy latte, so maybe t wasn't the same thing, unless I wanted it to be dirty? I said no, not really, thanks. He kept going about how dirty meant adding coffee - I tried to head him off by saying yes, I know, but nope, he kept barreling on about how it wasn't REALLY dirty, it's not like they add actual dirt or spit in the drink or anything. What the FUCK? That's incredibly gross. Then he started going on about how he could smell tacos. I said yeah, I'd just gotten takeout from Taco Tree. He asked if he could have a taco. I said no. He then started asking if I'd ever wondered about the quality of Taco Tree's product since they're so cheap. How do they keep it so cheap if the food's good quality? I said that I'd been eating Taco Tree for my whole life and it's always been excellent quality, thank you. He insisted that I should "think about it". I said I didn't want to. He seemed like he was going to drop it at that point, but as he went back inside the hut he yelled over his shoulder "I'm just saying, think about it!" 2. The young woman at the window attempted to overcharge me - $6 for my drink instead of $5.50. When I asked if the prices had been changed, she said nope, it was a dollar more for my coconut milk. I replied that I'd ordered soy and that it said .50 on the sign. She leaned out the window and said something along the lines of "Whoops, you know, you're totally right. I almost never bother to charge people for that so I guess I can't remember how much it is!" Dude. Why the hell would you tell me that you never charge people for the upcharge when you just doubled mine? When I told her I wasn't doing anything particularly special, but was on my way to my grandmother's (in answer to her question) she started rambling about her grandmother. As I said before, maybe it was because I was very tired and caffeine deprived, but man, she seemed extra loud and insistent that she needed to be talking every second of our interaction. Look, I get that Dutch Bro's ~Thing~ is that they're all VERY HIGHLY CAFFEINATED and OVER THE TOP FRIENDLY, but man, this was tone-deaf socially awkward badness all around. I know it must be challenging to maintain that level of perky, but for the love of God, don't touch people and don't insult their food choices and don't overcharge them. I'm sure that I'll continue to go to the Dutch Bros that's down by I-80, but when I'm in North Auburn and need coffee I'm just going to go to Starbucks. The coffee's not as good but nobody's ever reached into my car to repeatedly pat me either, and I think that wins. read more

So I went here and got a blended coffee this evening. service and quality was good. the drive thru caught me off tho as I left because there is a huge dip down on the way to leave towards Highway 49. Dutch Bros. Coffee is new to Auburn and comes in drive-thru form for those busy mornings where you just need that extra boost of energy on the go... I personally do not like coffee, but this place offers other things such as chai lattes, hot cocoa and flavored red bull energy drinks. I have been to this place 3 times and every single time, they got my order wrong. I've gotten a different drink each time, but the last time I ordered a chai soy latte and they gave me a coffee. This place is located at a pretty busy intersection, so when I realized the mistake, I had to find a place to turn around to go back to correct my drink order. Pain in the behind since I was not in a position to waste time. I can understand getting an order wrong once, but 3 times...seriously??? It always seems that too many people are working in such a small space and there is a huge communication gap. Then when I did get the chai soy latte, it was more like steamed soy milk with chai essence. Also, the employees are so friendly it seems fake. I came here because my local UPS driver gave me a gift card for Dutch Bros. I have been working in Auburn for roughly 8 years and I have heard people constantly rave about dutch brothers, however, I never made my way there, until last week. I have to say that I am upset that I missed out on this place for so long. I ordered and iced, non-fat, annihilator: You HAVE to try it! It is just full of milky rich goodness. One of the best drinks I have ever had. The price was extremely reasonable, $3.85 for a medium, which, for comparative purposes, would be the equivalent to between a grande/venti sized drink from Starbucks. Aside from the deliciousness of the drink and the reasonable price, their customer service is flawless. Literally, I have NEVER been to a place where the employees are as happy, nice, and talkative as Dutch Bros. They all talk to you through the drive-thru window and are curious about who you are, what you do, and really make an effort to get to know you and make your experience memorable. My absolute favorite place to go for chai now. Prices are very reasonable and drinks are always delicious. And the tulips on the cups are a huge plus. It's almost like it brightens my day just by looking at it. Yea, that sounds corny. I do want to express my love for the staff as well. They are always so genuinely cheerful, like they actually enjoy their job. And the music they play always get me grooving in my car. Minus one star because I always get confused with which way to go when leaving the drive thru. Plus I don't really like having to drive through the nearby trailer park to get back on the road. In fact, the service was bordering on unbelievable, given the time in the morning. A regular customer drove through while we were there... and he was addressed by name. "Oh, hey John, I saw you coming. So I got your coffee started for you. Here you go!". There should be more businesses in the world like this. So, why not 5 stars? I fell in love with Dutch Bros about 4 years ago when i went on a road trip to Oregon. I was so stoked to see them opening closer to me, even tho I still drive about 40 mins once a month to go there but its so worth it. The service is crazy fast and crazy friendly. All dutch bros i have ever been to (in northern CA and Oregon) always seem to have the same laid back, friendly service. and its NOT "so friendly its fake" Best smoothies ever, and the anilator is my favorite coffee drink there. -all the employees at this location are exponentially nicer than the other locations I've been to (Auburn #2, Folsom, and Rocklin) and I didn't think that was possible. These people go above and beyond. -the coffee is strong, cheaper than Starbucks, and wayyyyy quicker! Even if the drive through line is long, it usually only takes 2-5 mins -just discovered they carry bagels. Also the granola bars are so dang good. -the hydroflasks are great and you get $.25 off if you bring your own cup -some of my favorite drinks there: black Paris unsweetened iced tea, London fog with honey, golden eagle, blended unicorn) -always feels like a dance party. The only downside of Dutch, is that I have to drive an hour to get one...but I do! It's THAT good! I had a 2 previous experiences at a different Dutch Brothers near American River College in Sacramento on Madison. Both experiences were negative- not because of the customer service, but because of the drinks. They added much more syrup to mine versus my friends' drinks, but they claimed that's how it was supposed to be both times even though I had tried the other drinks our group had ordered and there was far less of a sugary taste in the others. I needed caffeine desperately on my way home from class today, and I accidentally passed Starbucks, so I decided to give Dutch Bros a try for something more basic: green tea. The guy at the window (around 7pm on October 6), was suuuper nice from the start. And when he asked what I usually get, I said "nothing...I go to Starbucks because ---insert previously explained failed drink situation here---" He immediately handed me back my credit card and said that hopefully my green tea today will change my mind and that the drink was on the house. My green tea did change my mind! It is only 30 cents more expensive than Starbucks and the tea tasted much better! It's not as strong, but has a pleasant flavor- no bitterness at all. 1/3 experiences was positive, which isn't very good odds, but now I won't be totally closed off from it anymore, and will be returning on my way home from class once or twice per week. read more

Hello, I'm a big time Dutch Bros fan, and gave been a customer for several years now. From Napa until I moved up to Auburn. However I have been disappointed several times. From one employee telling me I can't use the stamp card, very rudely, I might add. To messing up my drink. To telling me they don't have a type of drink when I have ordered it before... Today I'm especially frustrated. I ordered a drink with the girl outside, she was very nice. But the guy at the window told me "large Dutch freeze" as he handed me the drink, and I said "no, I ordered a banaynay." He looked down at the order screen and said oh, ya that's what it is." So expecting that I got the drink I ordered,. I went on my way, trusting him. Boy was that WRONG. BUT OF COURSE It was NOT my drink. I have some chocolate SLOP that is NOT what I ordered, and is now going to be WASTED because it's fucking nasty. It literally tastes like I'm drinking straight chocolate syrup... But of course, since I have to be somewhere, I don't have the time to turn around and correct them. This happens to me at least ONCE a week here. Its getting frustrating! Now I'm wondering if I'm paying MORE for the drink they messed up! Come on guys get it together In there! It's Especially irritating when you believe the server, and believe they're honest with you, even though they said the wrong drink... then you drive away and are on the road by the time you realize it's the WRONG fucking drink.
