Well, it meets a couple but I'll let you all be the judge. Located in a safe yet a challenging location to access during busy hours, I thought Seven Brew would have more cars lined up compared to other facilities I've tried in other states. However I'm not complaining as I was able to zip in and out; thus getting my large cup of coffee rather quickly. My first visit in SC, I modified their hot Sweet & Salty creation. Man, it was good! A medium roasted blend with a salted caramel and white chocolate breve but I added an extra shot of chocolate and added one shot of vanilla. The first sip the nose picks up on the coffee which immediately is replaced by a sweetness hitting the nose. Then the mouth senses the nice salt and caramel bathing the tongue and as it dissipates then white chocolate takes over, smoothing out the whole experience. Literally I couldn't wait for the next day as I wanted to try it again to certify my first visit's experience. This time I opted for a hot Smooth 7 which has white chocolate and Irish crème breve. This one had a subtle change in flavor but the Irish cream hits a little different. Instead of the salt being the first on the palate, the cream had that barely noticeable whiskey flavor elevating the experience then being once again rounded out by the white chocolate. To be honest I'm not sure which drink was better as they both offered subtle differences; equal in enjoyment. One aspect I didn't like was the fact I don't have their menu memorized. So, when I asked the very nice car attendant if they had a menu, she couldn't make a suggestion nor let me see a menu on her pad, therefore I had to use my phone. Think about that for a second, they don't have an easily accessible menu for the convince of the customer. It would be nice to know their base offerings in addition to a lot of flavored syrups to customize your flavor needs. To summarize on a Saturday morning after the 4th of July no cars thus a quick experience of great coffee. On busier days a lot more cars 7 Brew has horrible accessibility and do your research before pulling up.

Summit coffee establishment is located is on the outskirts of Nexton proper, easily accessible by foot and with a sterile atmosphere. One oddity I noticed is the place doesn't smell of coffee, which I found interesting. Sadly the inside is as lifeless as outside. It looks like a they paid a cleaner to remove all vestiges of life while only leaving a spec here or there to meet a quote. Ok, enough with aesthetics as I've complained enough, The staff is quick to help out and offer good suggestions when they're asked. Being a former comedian, I tried to whip up some jokes to compensate for my utter boredom, the ladies were nice enough to laugh. Needless to say, the women here had a heart. They made good suggestions but I was curious why their pastry display only had like a handful of items, did they make them or get them from the grocery store? I don't know but I was only here for coffee. I did like some of the creativity - a banana creampie latte - sounds like something.... Nevermind but all props for creativity. Birthday cake latte didn't sound good for the waistline but another attempt at creativity - I love it! But I opted to go for my own flavor. A lack of options for addins, I mean literally no hazelnut, almond etc. Well, I did the best I could - Latte with 2 shots caramel and 1 vanilla. I can honestly say it was "mid" at best. The roast didn't resonate while the lack of options made it feel so generic like I couldn't play the part of an evil scientist mixing a crazy concoction. But it beats McDonalds. Oh, they do have "the world's best granola" which I made several jokes about, even encouraging other customers by saying "if you were in France and ordered granola, they would talk about Summit's granola, after all it's the world's best!" Yes, I was being the overfriendly annoying customer, b/c I was bored. At least there were some laughs. Sadly, there's nothing about Summit that stands out. I hate saying that for local businesses but I want to be authentic. Stop by if .... Well, I'm not sure why so just stop by, I guess.

However, what tires my bones to the core is the inauthenticity of people that have taken over coffee culture; with their man-buns, little lap tops writing "the next great American novel," forearmed tattooed and blue haired activist that... No, what I see from this dainty coffee bar are inviting pastel-colored walls, light toned wood chairs and tables, crayon inspired specials written on the windows and where ever along with their merch being pushed dead in front. It's an ok vibe in here and the people are simple, thus my whole rant about generation 3.14 isn't applicable here. As for the staff they're great and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a lot of younger staff were working so I tried to spark up a conversation. Specifically, if she's tried Kopi Luwak (google it) and if she liked it. She had no idea what I was talking about so I switched to Taylor Swift, to which the conversation picked up. Concern for this generation resonated in my head, but hey at least we were talking, and she didn't ask to chat via snap chat! I kid... I kid. The staff here are very nice and they were playing 80s music (see how I dated myself?) which "I can name that song in three notes" and did. While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu. When I read the Butter bear latte stood out and I knew that was what I wanted. The butterscotch punched me in the mouth as a "you've never met someone like me before" love tap. The caramel snuck up from behind and smoothed out the experience while the coffee kept the band playing nice together. Scanning their menu, Biggby does commit to giving something different a real go and I applaud them for it. In summary, Biggby grinds their beans to order and this really enhances the quality of their coffee. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by with enthusiastic employees and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. Stop by if you want something good to pick yourself up or rub elbows with a future leader of America.

My boyfriend got a cold brew with Oatly and was so impressed that he went vac and bought a bag to take back home with us. I lament not trying the food since it looks so good, but this is a stop that we're adding to the agenda next time for sure!

Mr. Smoke told me the guidelines for #BCH: no profanity, no alcohol, and no DRAMA. After all, this is a family establishment. Mr. Smoke encouraged me to enjoy the moment and put my cell phone down. I told him, "I was doing important work for my Yelp Community and would put it down after a few pictures. #BCH has free WIFI, lots of charging stations, and comfortable seating, too. Mr. Smoke recommends "Megan Special. " The drink perfectly combines Java taste and chocolate and caramel sweetness without being overpowering. He also mentioned that wifi is powerful and a great place to network. One more thing: Mr. Smoke told me about a monthly event #BCH has to support the veterans and local law enforcement. There is no menu so if you're a coffee drinker like me you should already know what to order. There's Wi-Fi so come and grab a seat and do your work on your computer. They have several different flavors they can make hot or cold. They also have muffins and pastries that you can have with your cup of Joe. The owner Smoke is so nice. You can really tell he will make your coffee the way you want. They have some fun events coming up and I'm excited to get to go to them. Go check them out.
