I've heard great things about Dutch Bros, so I was excited to get to try it when I took a trip to Portland! I ended up ordering a cold brew and really enjoyed it! I wouldn't say it was the best cold brew I've ever had by any means, but it was really good for the price point and for a place that you can just pick something up through a drive thru. Dutch bros is known for their excellent customer service and I can see why! The employees helping us were really friendly. The store itself is drive thru only and although the line was decently long when I went, it moved pretty quickly. An excellent coffee stop and I got to try the Cocomo for the first time. Utter perfection. The staff was wonderful and polite. My brother ordered some Blue Lemonade drink that made our jaws and teeth hurt like we took a spoonful of sugar. Been here a few times and this last one was a bit disappointing. They must have sold out of Father's Day stickers by 8am, so that sucked, plus no Fathers Day deals. This Dutch bros somehow manages to always get my girlfriend's order wrong and is also kinda rude when it comes to customer service. My girlfriend asked for more cold foam in her drink (because they always give barely any) and this lady starts lecturing her about asking for the right amount. If what we usually get is the right amount then they seriously need to consider upping it because Starbucks gives way more for no extra charge. read more

I've never left a review for anything before but I needed to give 5 stars to this Dutch. I recently got broken up with after 4.5 years and am a fragile glass house. My eyes were swollen and small. As I went to pay the barista informed me that someone had covered my drink to "pay it forward." I instantly melted and started crying at how thoughtful and nice people can be. I couldn't compose myself enough to say "yes please" when asked if I wanted a straw. When handed my drink I looked at the sweet note and continued to cry. I used to work at dutch and so I know what is expected from the employees. The last 3-4 times I've come through my coffee is always super sour and the espresso just isn't up to standard. I normally love this Dutch bros but today's encounter was not up to standard. The man with a Dutch bros jersey who took our order was extremely rude and was not helpful whatsoever. He was correcting us for how we ordered things and not in an educational way, correcting us like we were stupid for not knowing how to order a specific drink. He then told us "speak up" in a demanding tone before we had even tried to say our order!! Finally, as I was going to insert my card to pay, all he said was "it's tap!" My card is not a tap card and he acted like it was the biggest inconvenience ever. Of course he did not confirm the automatic tip option so he ended up getting a tip he did not deserve. This review does not reflect on how I feel about the other employees here as they have all been great towards me. I am utterly surprised someone like him was hired to work at such a place. Have always been a fan of Dutch Bros. With so many coffee places in PDX, one might enjoy a better selection elsewhere, but if you're looking for quick, tasty coffee on the go, they do a great job! My go-to drink has always been the "Kicker." It's their Irish Cream drink. The hot drinks usually have the perfect amount of foam, which I like. One last thing. The service is usually fantastic and super friendly. You can tell they are told to ask about your day and engage you, which can come off a little fake. Just got my coffee here and what an experience! The girls were so friendly and nice and there coffee was great. Very unique concept of drive thru. I got a latte just to see how it was and it was smooth. Although they are a drive thru shop they keep their integrity by having having a semi auto la marzocco machine and they roast their own coffee. Definitely stoked that this opened near my work since my other option is Starbucks. The baristas there are always super friendly. Plus, they make my drinks super fast. Like, really fast. I think the longest I had to wait was maybe two minutes. And that's including paying for my drink, etc. Since they're quick, the lines are never long. They're not my favorite coffee, but for the price, quickness, and friendliness of the baristas, I definitely prefer them more than Starbucks. They're my new choice for coffee! read more

I don't know if it's a gimmick or what but $free.99 is always a good price. When I did pay for my drinks however, they seemed a little on the high side, but nothing like what you'd pay at Starbucks. Ordered the iced white chocolate mocha omgggg so yummy!! Tasted chocolate milk and coffee in there, plus the whipped cream was so delicious too! My other favorite is their rebel energy drink (like red bull...but not...hehe). Get that in strawberry on ice and whooooo I am good to go for my 12 hour work shift!
