Great coffee, cute shop, and great value! The baristas are so friendly and happy to come up with off menu drinks for you. They give you the option for light or dark roast too and this cup is definitely better priced than other shops in the area. Helps that the cafe is super cute, inside and out! Definitely my go to coffee spot now

Been going to this coffee shop periodically when I want to take my work outside of my home office. It's got a rustic/industrial vibe, complete with remnants of cycling accessories. Cozy, little spot that has the perfect touch of indoor plants and greenery. Definitely my style! Honestly feeling so fortunate that this spot exists on this side of Pearl District as businesses unfortunately seem to be lacking out on the north side. Service is always top notch here, no matter who the barista is. I usually order a latte with non-dairy milk (you have a choice between coconut, almond, or oat milk - with an extra charge). I especially love that you have the option of choosing which roast for your drink (light roast or dark roast). For lunch, I got the lunch special, which is a tuna and cheese sandwich that comes with a pickle and a side of chips. Super delicious and tastes like it's fresh and made-to-order. My pug, Milo, also loves this spot as he gets constant rubs and snacks from the baristas and a bowl of water to keep him hydrated while I work throughout the day.

Delicious coffee. Friendly service. Bought some beans to take home. We'll definitely come back again.

Canelli is moist and yummy inside and super crisp on the outside winner winner winner. The Mexico, roasted coffee beans made a very deep robust, medium rich, slightly bitter, but well balanced, sweetness, and acidity macchiato. Love the vibe, the music on record playing vinyl "old school" LP 45 - way cool! And the people serving it up "bitchin" were friendly and knowledgeable. Winner winner winner. We took a last-morning stroll through downtown Portland and, on the walk back to our hotel,…read morerealized we wanted something warm and a short pause. That's how we ended up at Courier Coffee Roasters and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop. The shop itself is small and unassuming, but the moment we walked in it felt inviting and calm. The staff was genuinely wonderful. My partner ordered an Americano and was asked which cup he preferred, two different styles. He asked if they were the same size, and that simple question turned into the most endearing moment. Since the barista didn't know, she checked the bottoms of the cups for size markings (no luck), then filled one with water to see if it would pour evenly into the other, and finally put them on the scale. Verdict: same size. The curiosity and genuine desire to give us a real answer was just lovely. I ordered a hojicha tea, which was very well prepared and hit the spot. My partner said his coffee was smooth and really good. We also grabbed a pear muffin, nicely done, with generous chunks of pear (skin on, which I loved). My partner ordered a chocolate chunk cookie, which disappeared quickly. There was a record player on the counter with a mellow morning album playing, adding to the relaxed feel. The whole space and everyone working there felt warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you live nearby or are visiting like we were, this is a great place to slow down, warm up, and enjoy genuinely good coffee, tea, and hospitality.

If you're looking for a specialty drip coffee, this is the place to visit!…read more My partner is a certified coffee snob who roasts his own beans. We have traveled the world tasting every type of process from almost every region known to man. I always make it my mission to find the best cup of joe in town, so when I read about Push X Pull, I was hoping it was something we would remember. Luckily, we snagged a parking spot right in front of the shop. As we entered, the baristas were friendly and welcoming. We ordered a drip in a to-go cup and my partner couldn't stop talking about how great the cup of coffee was. We tried buying a bag of Galaxy Hops co-fermented beans, but unfortunately for us they sold out in both locations. Overall, highly recommend! It is the perfect spot to get some work done or simply hangout and talk. There is both indoor and outdoor seating which was nice.

Got a latte with their Ethiopia natural beans and it was lovely, roasty and bright within being acidic. We were debating between beans to take home and they also let us sample the brewed coffee version of the beans to make a decision, which was super nice. The staff was engaging and attentive, the space industrial feeling and clean and the coffee top notch. Definitely on our must stop lost in Portland!

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.
