I've had good experiences coming here and appreciate the thoughtful employees, especially the dark haired girl who went above and beyond with customizing an iced drink for me. It meant a lot to get great service like that and sometimes the small things like that really matter! I like this location better than the one closer to my house and so I drive a little further to come here now. read more

I love Black Rock and usually have no problem with this location when it's not busy times.. But any time I come in the morning any where after 6:30, the line literally does not move. I went this morning at 7 am and waited 10 minutes with no cars moving then finally had to back up and leave or else I'd be late to work. I usually don't mind waiting a few minutes. I work in coffee and understand the rush and stressfulness of it, but the wait times are here are insane. We get chewed at by management if wait times are any longer than 5 minutes.. Not sure why the same urgency isn't here. Regardless, I'll continue to come here because it's the closest one to me and the girls are super friendly and I always get good coffee. read more

My sister and I made an effort and successfully stopped at this specific location due to seeing on IG the post about one of their co workers Taylor has began her fight against Cancer & it hits home. Great location and staff were extremely kind. Our drinks were made great and loved the set up of this location. I may not know this girl personally but I know the FIGHT & having to be a warrior through this process. I'm glad to see, she has a great team cheering her on. This was the worst dirty chai latte I've ever had. It tasted especially diluted, and there was no trace of espresso. Drank 1/3 of it and gave up. It was even worse than the chai latte my spouse once ordered for me where they made it completely incorrect. (They made a latte and added pumps of chai syrup instead of one with actual chai tea, espresso, and milk) read more

This is a great drive-through coffee spot. It's near the freeway so it's a really convenient place to grab a coffee quickly, and they have such amazing latte flavors if that's your style. I think the best flavor is the caramel blondie. I tried the Mexican mocha but that wasn't as good as I was hoping. I have yet to try their other flavors but I'm sure they'll be delicious. read more

I've always loved this location- it's so convenient being right outside my house, and the staff are incredibly friendly. But after my visit today, I was informed that no longer wear masks or any type of face covering- even though they're in a good preparation environment. Covid is still rampant, and as someone who's 4 months pregnant, I will not spend my money at a company who doesn't care about their customers well being. read more

I try to make a pit stop at Black Rock a couple of times a month....it has become a problem hahah. But I like to get their fuel drinks. I'll usually order sugar free options. They have more sugar free syrup options than dutch bros which is really why I come to this location more. Service in the morning is pretty speedy (as long as the person in front of me doesn't order more than 3 drinks) and that's important for me since I start work relatively early. Baristas are all so nice and friendly, they usually ask me for my number...it's because they have virtual stamp cards now lol not because they want my number. I prefer the virtual stamp card option, I will usually end up losing the physical cards. read more

Wanted an alternative to Starbucks and I saw they were running a February promotion where you could try a new beverage each day of the week. $3 for a medium and you could have it hot, iced, or blended. They have a drive through which is very convenient. If it's a clear day, while going through the drive through, look to your right, you can see Mt. Hood and all it's glory very clearly! It's a great photo op spot. Anyway back to the beverages I tried 5 out of the 7 days of beverages. My favorite was the caramel blondie. The Mexican mocha didn't really have any flavoring or spice to it, just tasted like a regular old mocha. The only odd thing was I went five times, and the first three times I was charged different amounts. First time $4.10 , second time $3, and third time $3.60. Fourth and fifth time I was charged $3. I got almond milk instead of regular, so the first time I thought they just charged a lot for the substitute, then they didn't charge me for the milk change at all for the second time, then the third time I saw on the menu almond milk was .60 cents so the $3.60 made sense. It was just odd how inconsistent the pricing was even though I came to the same location! Other than that, it's cheaper than Starbucks and they have a good selection of beverages. The employees are cool & friendly but the girl who identified herself as "the manager" was very aggressive & disrespectful when I came back to make sure they're aware that their plastic sipping lids for iced coffee are defective -- they just drip straight through onto one's shirt. I would assume their business would want to know that in case it happened to other customers but she said "it's not my product" as if I should take it up with the plastic cup manufacturer & then tried to belittle me for bringing it up. Every single one of them, it seems, is both friendly and efficient, and they are always patient with me if I have trouble counting my change or I drop my punch card at the drive-thru window.
