I've been coming to this location for quite some time. I've only ever had a good experience at this location compared to the other Reno locations. The employees are cool and really nice to talk to I always enjoy talking to Marley and Cecil. Service is great drinks are good my favorite location! However this isn't a review for the location this is for one employee. I wasn't going to write this but it wouldn't be fair to me or any other customer that might experience this. When I come by there's one employee i always hope i don't see because she is not very nice and ruins my day when I come by. It's the red haired girl, I think her name is Emma. She is very rude to me and makes me fell very small and I don't like when she takes my order I always feel like I'm an inconvenience to her. I'm always nice, I tip, I respect the waits but yet I always get an attitude or a disrespectful tone. Everyone else is great and kind, but Emma is not. I usually love Dutch Bros and go almost daily, which is why this experience really stood out to me. I stopped by this location today while I was in the area and had a pretty disappointing visit. I initially tried to order at the walk-up window, but it was closed (there was no sign or notice). We were standing outside for quite some time. One of the drive-thru employees confirmed I could order there, came inside, and took my order, but the girl at the window never acknowledged me. When I finally received my drink, it wasn't what I ordered. I politely let them know, and while they did remake it, the interaction felt rushed and somewhat dismissive. There was no apology, and the window was closed again without much communication. The remade drink also didn't taste right, and I ended up leaving without saying anything further because I felt like I was being a bother. Overall, the customer service felt off compared to what I'm used to. I've had many great experiences with Dutch Bros, so I'm hoping this was just an off day, but I do think there's room for improvement at this location. read more

When the worst part about hitting up a favorite coffee spot is the length of the line, it's not that big of a deal, other than sometimes slightly annoying when you don't feel like waiting 20 minutes to hold it in your hot little hand! Otherwise, the staff is ALWAYS friendly; I appreciate that they genuinely take the time to make me feel welcome each visit. The drinks are delicious, customizable to the n'th degree, and consistent! I'm begging for one near Northwest Reno, but it's still worth the drive. I normally get great service at this location. I do at times tend show up 5 minutes before closing and I do not receive that oh we're close. I get great service even if it's 5 minutes to closing. I'm giving three stars for the worker who helped me, bc its not their fault this is an abomination to expresso. This is probably my third visit ever because I avoid Dutch bros. However, I am getting new tires at the discount tire down the road and needed something to pass the time so I walked down and ordered an iced Caramel something coffee. I normally order 1/4 of the flavoring for any drink anywhere I go and today was so concerned with making sure I got light ice I didn't request using less sweetener. Holy crap though, I don't taste any coffee, feels like I'm drinking chocolate milk. If Dutch bros uses "coffee" it feelsblike the powered nestle "mocha expresso" my grandmother used when I was growing up. Instead of spending money here next time I'm just gonna pour a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar straight into my mouth and swish it around with milk and call it a day. read more

I have been waiting for Reno to have a Dutch Bros for YEARS. That being said, this review is based off my first visit to our new location. Upon arriving there was 6 cars ahead of me (groans), however they had 2 guys out along the line taking orders with IPads. It was 19 degrees outside! But man that's some great customer service. The guy who took our order was funny, sweet, knowledgeable about the drinks, made a recommendation to get my drink as a breve (thank you for that!), and they accept card payments with the IPad. Once you get to the window they stamp your rewards card, give you your drink, and away you go. I was blown away by how fast they were! The drinks were just how I remembered and I love that all their large drinks come with 4 shots of espresso. I usually have to add shots when I get drinks anywhere else (yea I'm talking about you Starbucks)! Any time I am down south (why oh why couldn't it be in Sparks?!) I will be headed to this Dutch Bro. I would definitely recommend looking at their drink menu online because it is WAY MORE extensive than the ones that are posted outside in the drive thru. read more

Haven't had Dutch Bros in years. The last time was in Fresno, California and I had a custom drink that was supposed to be milk tea--it was alright. I would've rate it 3 stars then. While in Reno, I was looking for something to drink for both me and my dad. I saw that Dutch Bros had smoothies which was what my dad wanted and so we gave it a shot. I walked to the window and the worker was happy to take my order. They also guided me through their rewards app (which I just downloaded). The drinks came out fast, despite the long drive thru line. Perhaps there's a different queue for walk-up drinks, which is good. I got a Small Golden Eagle Chai. First sip I took, I was impressed. Tasted how I intended it to be and better. I looked at the bottom of the cup and it said 16 ounces. That's a Grande (medium) size at Starbucks! Crazy! I tried my dad's strawberry smoothie and it was good too. He also liked it. This place is great if you want a coffee on the run. Dutch bros is fairly new to Reno. There was Dutch in Carson City before they established two in Reno. There's a variety of blended, iced and hot coffee drinks. They also include lemonade, smoothies, teas and sodas on their menu. I go strictly for their coffee as the other drinks don't appeal to me. There's a variety of flavors to chose for coffee so be ready about your order before you get to the window. The employees are young, most look like they are in high school of freshman in college. They are friendly, upbeat and fast paced. The establishment plays music (electronic dance music) which sometimes can be very loud and overwhelming. I would say Dutch is mostly popular with a younger crowd. Its more of a hangout spot than a coffee shop. Coffee is really good though and they have big sizes. I'm not a Dutch Bros. consumer BUT with all the love this business has received recently I had to check em out. It was 6:30am and I was en route to an early appointment in desperate need of a pick me up. Dutch Bros was on the way, so I swung in and got in line. Yes. At 6:30am there were about 6-7 cars rolling through and a massive (and well branded) semi in the parking lot delivering all kinds of goodies. To my surprise they had two smiling, friendly, and efficient employees outside (bundled up) with tablets taking orders. I had about 3 seconds to look at a menu, but that didn't matter. I drink black coffee so I just asked for the largest size they had. Apparently, they can take payment on the tablets too, which is freaking sweet and made everything move even faster. I rolled up to the window, checking out the menu in more detail as I waited my turn, and when I got to the window the friendly barista said "Large Americano?". I said ya, and took it. Few notes here: 1) I didn't know all drinks at DB are espresso based. I thought I was getting brewed coffee, but that wasn't the case. I didn't see brewed coffee on the menu, and now that makes sense. 2) The asked me if I wanted any ice to cool it down, and after receiving it I now understand why. I couldn't drink it for quite a few minutes, so next time I'd probably say yes. SO... This is NOT a place for coffee connoisseurs or specialty coffee fans BUT it is a solid place to swing in, get friendly service and a decent americano. read more

My first experience with Dutch Bros was in California coming back from a road trip. I wasn't too impressed but thought it might have been a fluke since I had heard so many good things. When this one opened in Reno I was excited to give it another shot. I went with 2 friends (one is a loyal Dutch Bros patron) in 2 cars. We wanted to park and sit so my friend and I in car #1 made it to the lot, but car #2 was waived to the drive through because they were so busy. The line was very long but it was moving quickly. The staff was friendly and we got our drinks right away. The "menu" they have up is NOT the full menu! Make sure you go online (https://www.dutchbros.com/menu) to see all of the drinks! I ordered a medium iced 911 and probably should have looked up their sizing beforehand...(S, M, L: 16, 24, 32oz). This drink has 6 shots of espresso but it tasted kind of watery and didn't have that full coffee flavor I was expecting. I felt like I was drinking cold brew rather than an espresso-based drink. While I didn't think this attempt was that good, I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because of their expansive menu! read more

I was a little lost as to what to order and the man taking my order was so helpful and friendly. He asked me what I liked and got me going in the right direction. When I pulled up to the drive thru window the girl that gave me my coffee was so friendly!!! We chit chatted a couple minutes until my order was finished and I was on my way. Their customer service made a tremendous impression on me!! Their coffee is espresso based and down right delicious!!! The fact that it was espresso based was what had me confused as to what I could or could not order. Not to worry they'll make just about anything you want! My husband ordered a dirty chai latte and I had a nonfat Irish cream latte. The coffee was the perfect temperature which was refreshing because I think sometimes drive thru coffee can burn your mouth. They have a flap jack coffee that I'm excited to try next time.
