I was a little lost as to what to order and the man taking my order was so helpful and friendly. He asked me what I liked and got me going in the right direction. When I pulled up to the drive thru window the girl that gave me my coffee was so friendly!!! We chit chatted a couple minutes until my order was finished and I was on my way. Their customer service made a tremendous impression on me!! Their coffee is espresso based and down right delicious!!! The fact that it was espresso based was what had me confused as to what I could or could not order. Not to worry they'll make just about anything you want! My husband ordered a dirty chai latte and I had a nonfat Irish cream latte. The coffee was the perfect temperature which was refreshing because I think sometimes drive thru coffee can burn your mouth. They have a flap jack coffee that I'm excited to try next time. DB has finally arrived! The staff here as well as any of their locations is like no other coffee drive-thru you been to-they're ALWAYS so friendly and happy to serve you. The coffee...don't be fooled by the drive-thru menu because they so many more options online. First off: the employees are very kind and work exceptionally hard and quickly, especially considering the constant volume of customers. I got the featured drink, caramel brûlée pumpkin cold brew. It is terrible. The drink tastes like water, so I'm guessing they didn't brew it strong enough. There is also no flavor besides the raw sugar on top, which just makes this taste like iced water with sugar. Very weird and very bad. I have been meaning to write this review for a while. So let's start by saying I get a lot of coffee it was going to DB but the fact every time and I mean every time you mess my order up and forget to add the whipped cream now by this point I have re-check with 2 different people on this order. Every time you make the employees have stupid ass conversation that us meaningless and now by this time either from the loud music so you can't hear yourself or the stupid conversation you have screwed up another order. After waiting months for DB to arrive in Reno, the wait is definitely worth it! As a Vegas native, we only have one location of DB, but it was always too far for me to try it. My friends always boast about how good DB is. Thus, it was my first time trying DB, and I also went to the grand opening! I can comfortable say DB is 100 times better than Starbucks. Not only did I think it was a smart marketing strategy to provide free 16 oz. drinks for their grand opening, but they let you choose any drink you wanted! So, I got the Golden Eagle and Cookie breve (I ended up going twice that night lol.) Both breves were really good, although I couldn't really taste the difference. I won't knock them down for this though because they were probably really busy and didn't have time to make them the best they could be. However, I don't doubt that they do taste amazing! I like how both beverages weren't too sweet, so you could taste the coffee in them. The consistency is very smooth, I didn't taste any scattered ice cubes in the drink. The Golden Eagle has a nice caramel kick to it and the sweetness is not overpowering like other coffee frappes. The Cookie has a slight cookie taste to it, but I mostly tasted the vanilla. Either way, it definitely was worth the two trips and back. Staff is very welcoming and helpful, especially if it's your first time at DB. Not to mention, their grand opening was lit af with the music. Staff has a great attitude and energy, and it made me excited to go to DB to try their stuff. Will definitely be coming back, especially if I'm in that part of town. Can't wait for other locations to open. Dutch Bros is definitely the spot to hit if you're tired of having Starbucks every time you need some coffee. Today we went to their grand opening, free 16 oz drinks all day, that's pretty generous of them. We tried the Annihilator (hot) and the Kicker (iced) with the Irish cream. I've got to say, they were both pretty tasty and different to the usual Starbucks taste. Both the Annihilator and the Kicker as I said were tasty, but it didn't really amaze me. The Annihilator (hot) is perfect for those that aren't looking for a sweet tooth but loves a chocolate taste. While the Kicker is great for those looking for an upset dentist at your next visit. Dutch Bros is always a super friendly place to visit for coffee. The staff are wonderful and the coffee is hot! It would be cool to do a blind taste test on coffee to see what people would prefer -- Dutch Bros or Starbucks. I have a feeling Dutch Bros would win. I have visited numerous Dutch Bros on ski trips to Mt. Bachelor in Oregon and now here in Nevada. I have never been disappointed with the smiling faces that greet me at the window and the multitudes of customized coffees. I really like the punch cards, when you buy 10, the 11th is free. However, if you are looking for a coffee shop to chill, or sit on your laptop and work, this would not be the place. This is strictly a grab 'n go or sit outside. This is the most poorly designed drive in I've ever laid eyes on. The stores are completely unequipped for any sort of outdoor inconvenience. I waited for nearly 1.5hrs trapped in the drive through line due to employees staying inside for the smoke. After waiting for 25+ minutes at the other location, I thought this one would be better. Dutch Bros has really good drinks. I like how they are really consistent with their drinks. Everyone makes it exactly the same way each and every time. This way, you know exactly what you'll be getting. If you like coffee, try out the Nutty Irishman. This has more of a coffee flavor and it isn't too sweet. This is really good and gives you a good kick to jumpstart your day. Due to Covid-19, they closed their walk up window. If you aren't driving, you can walk up to the drive up window to order. I believe they are only taking card payments for the meantime. The staff is really friendly and they're always upbeat! Just a tip, sometimes the lines are really long, but they typically get drinks out quickly and keep the line moving. There has been a couple of times where they took a really long time. I'm guessing they were short handed. From what I've seen, weekends gets really busy throughout the day. The busy times are typically in the morning and lunch time during the weekdays. read more

This used to be our favorite coffee spot because everyone was super energetic super friendly high-quality service and one of the best places in Reno to go but overtime they lost not only the energy the customer service the quality went down and their system for cars makes it very difficult to wait in line. You could be waiting in line for quite some time and they will ask you to move your vehicle to another area and lose your spot in line. Love the variety of drinks you could try from lattes, tea, frost, freeze, smoothies & so much more! Personally, I like my coffee sweet with extra cream (probably not the best for you, but yolo) Usually, I get their iced annihilator which has chocolate macadamia nut milk & a few shots of espresso. Their iced chai & golden eagle would also be worth trying. If you want to go all out because sweet tooth is a real thing, get any freeze you want & ask them to make it picture perfect. We first tried the Dutch bros yesterday at your other location on Virginia and were so satisfied with our iced coconut coffee that my husband had to have another one this afternoon. I have heard all the fuss about Dutch Bros so I tried it while in Reno. The people in the shop were excellent and very helpful. I was a Starbucks fan for a long time, but the coffee just got too bitter for me. In the Phoenix market is a place called Black Rock Coffee Bar - excellent, but I didn't have that. The choice was between Dutch Bros and Starbucks...I chose Dutch. The taste was a bit sour and harsh. Maybe it was the batch or the creamer, but it was not good. I adore Dutch Bros! The employees are fantastic and have ensured that every time we go we have a great experience. I do have to admit that the enthusiastic atmosphere is a bit hard to handle when you haven't had your coffee yet, but I appreciate that they always have a smile on and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Now for the drinks! I tend to get the same thing when I go, but they have a huge selection of drinks on their online menu. They have just about any flavor of tea or coffee that you can think of. I really enjoy their mocha drinks which they make with chocolate milk instead of regular milk and chocolate syrup, although you can get a DOUBLE chocolate which is both the chocolate milk and syrup. It's so good! Their teas are also really good. I like that their Paris tea has a bit of a different flavor (floral, almost like bergamot) than your classic black tea, but that might not be for everyone. read more

It's kinda weird to have them run to your car to take your order. My 3 shoots of espresso were good and at $2 its budget friendly. Food options are slim muffin tops and granola bars. They offer Dutch Mafia cards - frequent coffee buyers... fill up the card and get one free. If I'm in the area, I'd pop in again. Not sure if I'd make a special trip. read more

You can't look at the menu because the person taking drink orders insists on telling you their options instead of letting you just choose what you'd really like by reading the menu & looking at pictures. I don't think one person can tell you all hundreds of drinks options efficiently or effectively... What business doesn't have a full menu for their customers? And they take forever making their simple coffee drinks! Expect to wait 20 - 30 minutes in the long line of cars. And to top it all off, they don't accept cash! CASH?!? really? I always looked forward to visiting these little shops on trips to Oregon, so was very happy to hear that they were expanding into our area. I've visited many Dutch Bros, and it's safe to say that this location offered the best experience I've had thus far. What sets this place apart from other locations is their vibe; it's run by peppy, lively teenagers that have a passion for what they do, and seem to make friends with everyone they serve. Just being around the people who work here will liven your spirits. Another impressive attribute of all Dutch Bros locations is their never-ending menu. They have every kind of drink you could possibly imagine, since so many custom drinks can be requested with different combinations of ingredients. I recommend looking online for a list of possibilities. I asked the cashier to give me something rich, cold and refreshing, and she gave me the divine GRASSHOPPER freeze, a milkshake-like concoction of mint cream and dark chocolate. Their treats also deserve a shoutout. I tried the MUFFIN TOP and the GRANOLA BAR, and both were utterly delicious. This shop is new, so they are still working out a few kinks in their system. When a grand opening gives FREE drinks all day long and gives back to charity, you know this business is amazing! I have been a fan of the Dutch for years now. We have supported them in Carson and the PNW. They make fun espresso drinks and energy drinks. Not just your typical coffee place.. They were the first to have other milk substitutes. Can I get an amen for coconut milk, almond, and rice milk. Now the wait is over and we don't have to make a special trip all the way to Carson City. Plus the second location in Reno will be open shortly. :) You can either walk up or drive through. Don't be afraid of the line. It is deceitful and moves very quickly. They like to get you out in under two minutes. Plus they have a runner. You know it is fast when you have baristas on tablets taking orders. You can even pay on the tablets now. I stick to my cocomo, which is a coconut caramel mocha. Dirty chai lattes come in second. My bf always gets a rebel, which is an energy drink. They have countless flavors to choose from. read more

YAY!!! Dutch Bros is FINALLY in Reno! We've been drooling over you in Carson City for way too long. My family and I got hooked on Dutch Bros this past summer after road tripping in Oregon. We found them to be far more friendly, with a bigger & better selection, and more reasonably priced than their competitor that shall not be named but rhymes with Barschmucks. The Reno location did not disappoint. We visited this evening during their soft opening. It was evident that everyone was still new and figuring things out, but it's really nice to see EVERYONE with a huge smile on their face and happy to see you. It was a little obvious that they were trying really hard to make idle chit chat with us and be super positive - but over time, that will come more naturally. Our drinks were perfect, though we didn't order anything super customized. We stuck with the iced Golden Eagle lattes. OH! And if you haven't visited the Dutch before, check out their menu online. They have secret menu items (aka combinations of flavors that they give fancy or funny names, kinda like In & Out and their animal fries.) I'm looking forward to the Dutch coming further North/East - perhaps to the Sparks, NV area. But until then, we will be back Reno Dutch Bros! read more

Customer service is always EXCELLENT, we once had a girl who gave us our drinks for free just because the card reader was acting up! Everyone is always super friendly and the drinks are delicious. I've been willing to drive to Carson for Dutch for the last 5 years, so it's no surprise that when Dutch came to Reno, it was going to be a MAJOR hit for me. Just as is the standard for Dutch Bros around the country, the new Reno location offers great drinks, INCREDIBLE service, and an experience, unlike most coffee places. A culture of coffee and fun. A word of warning, Dutch Bros is not your elite coffee stop. It's not a Starbucks and it's not the place to enjoy a very expensive pour-over. If that's what you want, consider someone else. What Dutch offers is something else and something niche, that they've become very good at. My recommendation is an Iced White Zombie, easily my favorite drink, and, as someone who's not really into super sweet things, it gives a little sweet but a lot of coffee (what's not to love). 5/5 service (6/5?), 5/5 drinks, 4/5 location (just still rather far south and small parking lot). I am a fan. I drink decaffeinated coffee and tea and the decaf Ceylon hot tea here is excellent. Better than what I can find in stores. They have a wide variety of hot and cold drinks.
