I was out for a drive this evening and decided to stop by Dutch Bros since someone had given me a gift card. There were only two cars in the drive-thru when I arrived, and I noticed a few people already waiting at the walk-up window...so it seemed like things should move pretty quickly. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There was no one taking orders at the menu, and I sat there waiting while the car ahead of me got their drinks... and then stayed there. The employee at the window continued chatting and laughing with the customer for several minutes after they had already received their order. After waiting about 6-7 minutes with no one taking my order and the line not moving, I decided to leave. I didn't want to spend my evening stuck in a drive-thru that wasn't being managed efficiently. I completely understand being friendly and creating a positive experience...but there has to be a balance. Holding up the entire line for extended conversations just isn't considerate of other customers waiting. Sadly, I won't be returning. Hopefully they can improve their service and be more mindful of people's time. read more

I started coming to this location occasionally when I take my mom up to her cardiac rehab appointments that are close by and my only complaint...which isn't really there fault/something they can control is the location itself. This used to be my favorite Dutch to go to. I would literally drive out of my way for it but as of late ... definitely not. The girl who's been working the front in the morning with a tattoo on her bicep ( I believe left) has been atrocious every time I have come. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after a month of having bad experiences with her. No. My first instance with her was when I ordered ahead and waited on the order ahead side. Anyone who came after me she helped first I stood there for 15 minutes until a guy who witnessed her blatantly ignore me told her how I was standing there. That's when she decided she would acknowledge me. I tried to think nothing of it, but it was definitely frustrating. The most recent time was even worse. I waited in line to order instead of ordering ahead since I didn't want to be ignored this time. Boy was I wrong. I wanna say that's even worse. She then decided to focus all of her attention on the order ahead and completely ignored me again until a man came out to take my order. I waited 20 minutes for my drink, which caused me to be late because I wasn't expecting that. It wasn't even busy. 20 minutes for three iced drinks including the order aheads. Just for my drink to be disgusting. A different woman was waiting 40 minutes for her drinks because they were completely forgotten about. I don't know what has happened to this location, but it used to be amazing. Thankfully, the girl who was working Night Shift (blonde pony ) was extremely sweet and made my drink perfectly. I explained to her that I wasn't able to get it remade in the morning given I was late for work and she didn't question it. She is the only reason this isn't a one star review. I just had the worst experience at your 90th st location off the 101 in Scottsdale. We entered the 2 lane drive through with 5 cars ahead of us @ 345pm. There was a huge van who sat in the lane, probably taking multiple orders from people, while the other lane was able to pass 3 cars through ahead of him. Fast forward, it is now 4pm, we had a young lady approach our car and take our orders for 1 decaf and one regular sugar free golden eagle. The large van now is sitting at the window with another car behind it and we were third in line. Fast forward to 4:10pm and we are able to move up to the window. Yes, I was upset that we waited 25 minutes for 2 coffees and now there were more than 11 cars behind us. I vented to the lady at the window about the fact that the service was very slow and that the person who takes orders outside should make sure that the car lines alternate and a car can NOT sit in a lane holding up other people because they do not have their orders straight from their family or friends. I was told that because of the "heat" the attendants cannot be outside for more than 5 minutes at a time...what does that have to do with the problem????? The discussion continues with me venting my frustration and that this was the third time I have been to this venue where the same thing happens....long lines with terrible wait times. Instead of saying, we are so sorry for your wait, we will consider your suggestion with seriousness....she began stating that I was "berating" her and what could she do to make the situation better? GREAT! I said, how about serving me our coffees? She then said, your order only came in 4 minutes ago.....you must be kidding! It is now 4:15 and our order was taken at 4pm. We asked, "How can this be?" We sat behind that van , which when I asked, had a drink order of 6 drinks and the car in front of me which only appeared to have 1 order...and the order was placed outside by a lady taking outside orders?????? She then stated "there is nothing we can do to make you happy today so we will refund your order.." I said, "That is not necessary, we have been waiting for 30 minutes and would like our drinks" Her response was" No...we will refund your order today because I do not have to take you berating me!" What kind of service training do your workers have? NONE!! That is absolutely no way to de-escalate a perturbed customer. It could have been, "I am so sorry you had to wait for your drinks. We can give you a voucher for a future coffee or discount your coffee today so that we can ensure you will come back and try us again" We have enjoyed Dutch Brothers for years and have NEVER had this kind of rude service. Yes, not an easy job but most of the time we are greeted with a smile and very friendly service. Almost over the top service! Rest assured, this note will be going up the chain of command. I do see that there are other complaints about wait times and service at this location. Let's hope that management comes in and does some one on one observation and training. Absolutely horrible customer service. As someone who was born and raised in Oregon, I take pride in getting all of my coffee at Dutch bros. As they expand, they have to upgrade the line system, but this was by far the worst set up. They have a sign that says to stop so they can take orders, but it was blocked by my blind spot. In addition, there was no one even out there, so I pulled forward. I then proceeded to get screamed at by the employee that I did it wrong and the shortest line was supposed to go first. The car behind me didn't understand why it was like that either. I felt so bad for the employee she was training as she was extremely rude and combative to my questions.
