I usually order and pay ahead of time and my order is NEVER ready when it says that it's ready for pick up. I've had to wait an extra 10 minutes usually . Today, I wanted to claim my birthday reward (free drink) and ordered ahead. I still arrived a couple minutes past the time. While it's not my favorite drink, the sugar cookie latte comes with a soft top, sprinkles, and vanilla flavoring creating a sugar cookie like flavor. The sprinkles aren't sugar based, so it has an interesting addition. While I went, the drive thru was very crowded so we decided to mobile order while we stopped by the bank. There were quite a few people waiting outside. There's no inside seating offered only a few tables outside, making it more of a stop and go coffee shop rather than a sit down. Yes, the line can be long, but I honestly try to avoid the weekends for this reason and if I end up there on a Saturday morning...the line moves quickly and the workers are always so sweet! It was my birthday, and I was excited to order my free birthday drink, as I always enjoy the fun and quality Dutch Bros is known for. Unfortunately, the experience was an absolute disappointment. First, the drink itself was nearly undrinkable. It tasted like plain, watered-down iced black coffee with almost no sweetener or flavor, which is a major quality issue for a flavored beverage. Second, and perhaps more disappointing on a birthday, there was absolutely no decoration, cute writing, or even a simple birthday note on the cup. My friend recently visited for her birthday and received adorable, personalized writing on her cup, which is what I have come to expect and love about the Dutch Bros experience. The lack of effort and poor quality of the drink makes me wonder if there was a lapse in attention because the drink was complimentary. If that's the case, it's a poor business practice. Overall, this was an absolute disappointment, especially on a day meant for celebration. The online ordering option was down and since it was our first time at Dutch bros, we looked around confused. I wish the employees put up a sign or let us know--we were in line for 30 mins. Upon ordering, I asked for recs, and we were helped by a female employee who recommended "gingerbread latte" and half way into her sentence she turned to the ordering window to chat with her coworkers. Afterwards, she went back to chatting with her coworkers & this is when they all chugged an energy drink on count of 3 in front of a line of customers lol. We got the Cocomo and Golden Eagle 50% sweet. Cocomo was quite creamy and Golden Eagle tasted like a typical Starbucks drink. She took the time to help my sister-in-law, my other sister-in-law, and me find our new favorite drinks without ever making us feel rushed. I had a pretty good experience for my first time trying this place. There was no where to sit, but there is a huge drive thru with two lanes. When I got here I just ordered with the person at the window since there was no one in line. I didn't notice an area to order, or wonder if someone comes out to help with orders if there are more people. I was able to give the Golden Eagle hot with oat milk a try, and it was surprisingly delicious. All together the price was as much as a Starbucks with the Oatmilk around $7 something. The cup is unique with a different type of spout, and my drink was hot but not so much that I would burn myself. I liked coffee beans , and it definitely tasted strong. they need new staff sorry i know that's a bold statement but this is not the vibe dutch is supposed to have. dutch vibes are unmatched to any corporation and this dutch does not serve the same dutch i know from grant pass. the window person just seemed so done and i understand they probs had a rough day or something (but it was 10 am) but their attitude was good when talking to fellow employees but annoyed when talking to customers. and why were there 5 line busters? 2 of them were just standing there by themselves (so didn't look like training) and there were about 7 cars max in line, no need for more than 2 line busters there. i did mobile order and waited an extra 15 mins for my two drinks. one of those drinks was the brownie batter and they put about 8 brownie bits in my drink, i was expecting more... and i saw one of the employees pour a bunch of brownie bits into another cup... i liked my drink i got an americano with cream and with soft top. i have no complaints with the flavor. dutch corp, you know what dutch is supposed to be like. it's bad vibes here. help. read more
