First I want to explain that I am one of the most extreme customers of any contractor could work for, I expect nothing but perfection when spending hard earned money in change for services. I am very meticulous with everything in my home, and many friend tell me I am out of control. I have been a homeowner for 29 years and had many contractors perform services for me. Not once in all these years have I ever across anyone who has done work for me that I was completely satifisied with. They overcharge you, do not finish the work on time or are unable to provide the quality I would accept. I just want to make you aware of what tool place at my home on the morning of my installation. Dutchman Heating & Cooling has serviced our Heating and A/C for the past 3 years and we are very satisfied with the service. We have twice a year, spring/fall maintenance checks. The checks are very thorough with both the inside and outside units. Recently the A/C was not cooling. Solution to the problem found the blower motor on the furnace needed replacement. No motor to blow cool air, means no cool air. The A/C unit itself was in good order. After explaining I needed a new motor and given the cost estimate, I was also given the choice of replacing the motor myself or having the Dutchman do it. Personal appearance means a lot, sends a good message and we are comfortable having Dutchman service technicians in our home. I was out of town early this Feb. and my wife called stating she though our 10 yr. old Bryant Furnace isn't working. She call Dutchman at 11:30pm for service, and John the Dutchman service tech was at our house within 30 minute after our call. Sure enough the Bryant furnace we just installed less that 10 years ago quit. The next day we had Dutchman replace our furnace with a American Standard and Aprilaire humidifier. They had everything installed in about 5 hours, plus they beyond what was expected by cleaned outside our air ducts and even our our basement floor. We couldn't be more happy by hiring Dutchman in Naperville. Two days later, the outside thermostats wasn't reading the outside temperature properly and Dutchman was back at our house in 2 hours after I called to replace it. Murphy's Law being what it is, we recently had our hot water heater die the day before we were to have out of town guests stay over. We took three bids are were happy to find out that Dutchman (who had previously installed our heating and air conditioning) came in with a very good price on a new "tank-less" system. They also were able to show up the next day to do the installation and quickly get hot water back to our house. They followed up with a review of the installation the next day and quickly resolved a couple of concerns that I had. So far, the "tank-less" water heater is great and we are happy we made the switch. After receiving 3 bids for American Standard (furnace & Air Conditioner) from dealers. I decided to have Dutchman install pour new systems. My decision was based on the price, and professionalism of the dealer. Dutchman had service our old units for years and we were always pleased with the knowledge of each technician. I have to give them credit for keeping our furnace and AC in good working order for likely will beyond their usual life span. After the installation they were helpful in explaining what they had done and showed me how to used the new thermostat. I have been a loyal customer of Dutchman HVAC for years. I recently had my hot water tank stop working. I purchased the tank from Dutchman and had called to have the tank repaired. Today the serviceman (Matt) came out. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem (pilot light issue). While there he noticed I was scheduled for a Spring AC cleaning. He asked if I'd like him to take care of that so I wouldn't have to pay another service call and be inconvenienced. I was pleased to get the work done while saving me time and money. We purchased a new furnace from Dutchman. The salesman who came to our house was very knowledgable, professional and personable. He explained the available options, and which option would be most advantageous for our home. He did not try to overall us. The installation was scheduled within two days after salesman's visit, and was completed within four hours. The installers took the old furnace, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very satisfied customers. Over the years I've felt with several home repair companies. I can truly say that my experience with Dutchman was by far the "BEST" experience of all. Obviously I had my guard up anticipating some thing to wrong. I had scheduled for an installation after my furnace broke down on one of the coldest nights. Thankfully, Dutchman quoted me and then installed the next day. After my furnace was installed, the Dutchman installers explained how the new equipment worked and also showed me how i could maintain it myself for a longer life expectancy.I was very pleased with how professional and knowledgeable the staff was. I was so impressed with Dutchman Heating & Cooling. They are straight-forward with their pricing and extremely responsive. I had two A/C units installed by Mike Bakker and his crew when my 32 year old units finally died. He was able to get the brand I requested (American Standard) in one day. Dutchman was great, right from the start. Helpful on the phone while making the appointment to have the air conditioner looked at and Matt the repair person was awesome. Took pictures of the unit out in the pouring rain to show me the mouse nests (or maybe chipmunks) and then explained it all and fixed the unit out again in the pouring rain. He then stayed to make sure it all worked and the house was cooling off when he left. read more
