UPDATE: An hour after I left my poor review, I received a text from them saying they were going to get me the floor mats. Once they had them, I took the 40 minute drive, each way, to pick them up. When I got home I looked at them and they had bought the cheapest floor mats they could find. I can understand that and wouldn't have complained, except that when I went to put them in they didn't even come close to fitting. So, I contacted them and let them know they were the wrong ones. They responded by telling me they ordered them using my VIN number, which was a lie. They gave me the actual invoice that showed that they ordered generic floor mats for a 2023 Mercedes (without bothering to put the model of the car). I called them out on their lie and they asked me to either come in (another 40 minutes each way) or send a video. So I sent a video of me trying to put them in, showing them that they were way too big and the holes to secure the floor mats didn't even come close to lining up. That was about 3 weeks ago and they've never replied. This place is horrible! Don't buy your car from them, they're cheap and they will lie to you. Horrible experience! read more

I bought a $70,000 2019 GMC certified used truck from here. It's been a terrible experience, today is the 4rd time my check engine light goes on causing me to cancel my plans. (Once again) I bought this truck to pull my trailer and to go enjoy Glamis, clearly the truck is unreliable and not safe. I asked the service department on the steps I can take to rectify this, all they worries about was charging me a $280 fee for checking out the Lemon they sold me. They referred me to GM and said to take it up with them. Great customer service! I bought a 2014 Buick from Dutton last year with Curtis. Low mileage, ran good and I purchased the warranty to make sure I was covered. I'm a Veteran and commute from the IE to North Island (Coronado Island) daily for work. I started to notice some brake issues, worked with Russell & Tim. I got the vehicle in to be serviced, they provide new brakes at cost but grinded the rotors. Weeks later more brake problems. Now they say its not there problem! Its wrong, they do not honor their own warranty, good mechanics do not take those type of short cuts with any brakes. From here on out I'll use another dealership. I have been leasing for a long time and this was my best experience yet! From the go,the sales rep Danny Mota ,who answered the phone was so polite and easy to talk to. I explained to him that I was looking for a specific car and had found one at a different dealership that was really far away and wanted to check to see if they had one similar. When I was driving down to go look at the car and meet him , he was able to text me with some rough numbers which were a little bit higher than I wanted. He was very easy to work with and he would go to his manager, Steve, and ask him to rework the numbers and we were able to meet at a payment that I was looking for. During our time working together, the other dealership was texting and calling me and bombarding me and I told him that that they had offered me a really great deal to get me to come back and wanted to see if they can match. Not only did they match, but they were able to find some really great incentives and even save me a little bit of money! The creativity of the finance manager, who was helping them put together my quote(didn't catch her name) was awesome and much appreciated. The no frills ,no hard tactics and no pressure at the dealership was so refreshing as a female!! I made an appointment and drove 40 miles to Dutton to see a specific car only to be told upon arrival that the car wasn't there because It had been loaned out to another customer. Then I had to sit through the salesman's rant about how George Soros and Bill Gates are ruining the world with vaccines and lies about climate change. What a joke. And Woody's "Family Plan" discount turned out to be a measly $200 off the car. What a slap in the face since my parents spent so much money at Dutton over the years. I've been back 6 times since and have worked with many different employees. Mike always goes above and beyond with communication and making sure I have as much information as possible. Terrible Management Dept. I negotiated a price and APR w/ Jesse and Louis. A discount was applied by Jesse and when I was transferred to Louis. The "manager" says the discount was only valid on a different vehicle (I understand and move on). Next, they run my credit (which I take a hit for), approve and break down everything on a 2022 GMC Sierra. They tell me that my wife does not have to drive down (1.5hrs away). Then, they say she does have to drive down because they did not have license plates on the vehicle and she needed to sign today. I do not argue, instead, i ask a family member to baby sit and give them $100. Louis calls me within the hour to let me know that now... there is a recall on the 2022 GMC Sierra. I cannot pick up the truck. I ask the babysitter to return and pay her for the inconvenience. I ask Louis to work with me on the discount that was initially promised and him and his manager Dave. Say no. Yet again, I was willing to work with them on everything that they asked. But I cannot get the same in return. I then ask to speak with his manager Dave, and Louis tells me "As far as my manager, he's at home with the comfort of his wife and family. If you really want a call from him I will have him call you at his convenience. " Very professional and unethical. Dave sends his sales reps to fight his battles and is not willing to work with his customers. If we as customers ask to speak with a manager, request should be granted. Great management style Dave. Brought my GMC to these people to diagnose a couple issues. #1 a lane change warning saying it needed service. They charged $155 for an hour labor to hook it up to the computer and say that there was a low voltage warning "at some point" but everything looks fine now. Said it was most likely the battery but guess what...they didn't find anything with the battery either! So I paid $155 for nothing and I'll bet that it's still broken. I'll update this again once we drive it more. #2 a horrible smell from the exhaust. They hooked it up and said I just need to change the air filter and that should fix it. What? $155 again. #3 rear liftgate actuator (motor) went bad so they replaced it and another shock. They repaired/replaced that. They service advisor told me the bill would be $730 plus tax. I get to the cashier and it's $1000+. Guess he was wrong. Unbelievable. Won't be going there any more. read more

Went in to have my Chevy Silverado looked at the a/c not working properly and a shutter when driving. This is the sixth time I've had to bring my car to the dealership for one reason or another. The service writer said it could be the transmission said it would be days to a week to weeks before they would look at it. Said they have no transmission tech to work on it (found out they send it to another dealer) I bought them extended warranty along with the original warranty so I wouldn't have these problems with that warranty it is an agreement and a contract with GM to have my car repaired and they failed miserably. It's sad because the salesman I bought it from was such a good guy and the service department couldn't be worse. Also a smart ass comment at me when I was leaving doesn't help your cause maybe if you were good to your techs and paid them they would stay. . read more

The first sales associate to help us, some middle age women, barley gave us the time of day. She clearly thought we were poor and didn't want to help us. She was rude and had an attitude. She clearly missed my nuna stroller that I was pushing, my louie wallet, or the shirt my husband was wearing that is our company. We weren't there for fun, I needed a new suv. We did talk to the manager and he was helpful but unfortunately did not keep his promises to deliver our car. I survived the almost 1 1/2 hour drive, experiencing the worst traffic on the good lords' green earth, with a Winnebago that was on fire, and what I thought was a cow flying in the air on and around the 91 freeway, I'll never know, but adding to the added fact, I had the aggravation and with a major headache just to get to Riverside. But I survived! I survived! this guy did it! Come Cow or high water! Finally, having made it to Dutton Motor Company / Buick/ GMC of Riverside, It was then I was able to meet and greet Stephan, and buy that car of my dreams. I bought this awesome Buick Regal 5 door at an amazing price! (Honestly, I felt like the lady on the Ikea Commercial, running and yelling at the same time "Start the car! Start the car!".....) I felt the price was a steal! For the low mileage, it had as well! Thank you, Stephan, for that, easing my throbbing headache from sitting in almost 1 1/2 hour traffic, cows, and Winnebago's on fire, etc., as I so wanted that car at that price, and I knew, I knew you were the right person to help me make my dream come true it. What I liked about Stephan, was that he is easy to talk to, as he cares. He has such a good vibe about him. I felt it was meant to be, to meet. Made up reasons as to why I the check engine light came on. None of witch being remotely accurate. Super rude. The only reason I might consider going back is because of the manager. Stay away.. I just had some warranty work done on my car and they refused to cover the rental car as was stated in my warrenty contract. They also charged me a $50 deductable on an item that is fully covered under the powertrain. After a week of having my car they brought it to me covered with dirt. No Wash and gave me a coupon to go through a drive through car wash. Now they leave me with the only option of going back to to GM Warrenty and Small Claims to recover my losses. Got a 2020 Buick and the used sales side was amazing. As far as the service department goes it's a horrible experience. Whenever I came to get my car worked on it takes up to 3 days before they check and find the problem. So your car will sit 1-2days without being looked at and you can not get a loner vehicle till they know and get approved threw warranty/extended. Keep in mind I always have a scheduled appointment. It doesn't make sense that you schedule an appointment for a set day and time yet it will sit around up to 2days before getting checked out. To get your car worked on it has to be M-F because they don't repair cars Saturday and closed Sunday. Please be careful when scheduling an appointment Monday is literately the best day to schedule if you think you'll need repairs. Over the phone they do not till you it will take up to 3 days before they are able to check your car so be prepared. One last thing to watch out for there's no way to reserve a loner and since it will only be the day of to get a loner the chances of you getting one are slim to none. read more
