We had a unit replace at a unit I'm renting when it came to the install people were nice. Shortly after install we started hearing banging noise when it was being used and called so they can come and take a look. The appointment was weeks away but what could you do if they are busy. So the tech comes today and I was asking him about the unit and if it's because lack of air and he agreed. I then told him that is it possible that it's doing what it's doing because the intake isn't to correct size. He responded with I'm not going to sit here and tell you my move by move and you're not going to tell me how to do my job!. I was blown away by his response because I had only asked him that question and I was trying to inform him only because he wasn't the tech who installed originally. His name was Jesus and I wouldn't recommend this company just because there lack of response after a new install and the issues they keep trying to avoid. read more

Their entire operation truly cares about the customer, all the way from the sales manager, to the schedulers, and most definitely the technicians. Our Lennox thermostat was going out, and I was truly dreading the process of calling around to find an HVAC company to get it replaced because most companies don't operate with a personal touch anymore. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the Service Manager, Andrew Aguinaga, quickly returned my call and discussed several affordable options with me. He was very pleasant, fair, and right away I could tell that his main concern was getting our system repaired as soon as possible for our convenience! There was no price gouging whatsoever! I also can't say enough about the technicians who arrived to do the repair/installation, Eric and David. If you decide to go with AZ Air Conditioning and Heating, I strongly suggest that you request Eric and David as your technicians! They were both so professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful! They made this a very seamless process and everything went so smoothly with the new thermostat installation, even including how patient they were with helping me download the app to my phone and connecting the thermostat to the wifi, showing me how to operate it from my phone, etc. Even their trip into the attic to ensure the HVAC unit was working properly was very quick and seamless! They were respectful of our home, wore masks, booties, and even put down a blanket to ensure our floors were kept clean near the worksite. I was so pleasantly surprised because I didn't expect this to be such a quick and easy process! I will DEFINITELY be calling AZ Air Conditioning and Heating again for any and all future HVAC needs! read more

While I was very pleased in my earlier review regarding the installation of our HVAC unit, I must admit that "service after the sale" has been extremely poor. When we purchased our system we were told that we would be receiving a gift card of $925 as an incentive to purchase and install our unit through Home Depot/AZ Air Conditioning and Heating. After looking at the numbers we felt that this was a competitive bid so with went with AZ. Now, 4+ weeks later, I have yet to receive my gift card. I have had no resolution short of "lip service" from our salesperson playing the "blame game". As I texted my salesperson, Mario, "please try to look at this from my point of view. I am the client. I contacted Home Depot for a new heating and air unit and they chose YOU (AZ Air Conditioning and Heating) as my agent. You are my point person. You are the person that I am expecting to resolve this issue for me." In short, while AZ is happy to make the sale and runs a smooth install, the service ends there. If you are considering a purchase with the "promise" of a gift card I would advise looking elsewhere for a service provider. read more

The company was WONDERFUL to work with! We contacted Costco who referred us to AZ. [Now I can see why- Costco only refers companies that are very professional and stand behind their work.]. Their sales rep George provided info & explained the products available. Their installation was INCREDIBLE! Pedro and his crew worked diligently to not only install the new heater, but to place it in the attic. They were finished within 2 days! The entire team was exceptional and very professional: their attention to detail, with so many things that needed to be done properly, and cleaning up each day. When all was finished, I was amazed by what they did in my attic! We appreciated their hard work so much, that we "pushed them" to take a break in the afternoon (with donuts we bought). otherwise they would have continued working, with only a lunch break! I selected AZ Air because of their association with Costco, even though they were the highest quote I received. The rebate from Costco helped to make up some of the difference. The installation seemed to go fine but after about a week I heard mice gnawing in my wall near the outside equipment. I could also hear them in the return air ducts. I inspected the outside and discovered that the installers failed to seal the opening in the wall where the coolant lines run through. I bought some rodent repellants and after a couple of days decided the mice left so I sealed the opening with expanding foam. Unfortunately, several weeks later when running the furnace, the smell of dead rodents could be smelled throughout the house. We thought there wasn't anything that could be done so we tolerated it and hoped it wouldn't last too long. We are now seven months after installation and the smell still can be detected so I called AZ Air to see if they would clean the ducts to get rid of the carcasses. I was told a manager would call me in one or two days but it is now almost a week with no call. AZ Air's unwillingness to correct a problem that was clearly caused by their installation team is disappointing and totally unacceptable. read more

After 40 years, my old gas furnace was noisy and not heating the house efficiently anymore. So, on a recent trip to Costco, I set up a free in-home estimate. Costco put me in touch with AZ Air and Heating. AZ quickly set up a home visit with their sales representative Mike M. During his visit, Mike explained all of our options for choosing a new furnace, pricing, and installation procedures. Mike was friendly, informative and very professional. He took his time to answer all of our questions, and since Costco contracts with AZ for their HVAC sales and installation in my area, I felt confident that AZ would stand behind their work. On the day of installation, AZ Air and Heating did a wonderful job removing the old unit and installing the new one. They arrived on-time and were very professional throughout the installation. The one problem that I did have was that after they installed a new smart thermostat, the person did not speak fluent English and was not able to explain thoroughly how to use and program the new unit. Although the new furnace is working, I am still trying to read the manual on my own and understand how to program the thermostat. read more

I bought two air-conditioning units from these people in 2019. They did not install a water pump and so now that it has broken down they are refusing to do anything about it without me paying $150 service coffee fee just for them to diagnose it. They did an improper installation and now they want to charge me more to correct which should have been installed properly the first time. Complete bait and switch rip off! read more

Porter came in and gave me a no-nonsense quote, walked me thru how our needs could be met, and he did it without being pushy at all. Beyond that, if he didn't have the answer on the spot, he didn't hesitate to call his upper chain and handled every one of my concerns. Given that they have a great product and can back it all up thru Costco, I can see why there's no real need to lay the sales pitch on so thick (like two other vendors did). Moreover, they were competitively priced, and with the Costco Cash Back Gift Card and Executive kickback, they even came in a tad lower than the others! They were rather punctual and with outstanding communication throughout the entire process (initial appointment, testing, and installation). Zero issues! It's been a week now and our unit is firing on all cylinders, providing ample cooling for our 5 bed/4 bath home. I couldn't be happier with the current conditions and It's nice to have peace of mind knowing that AZ Air/Costco have my back should the need arise. Look no further, the search ends here! I called 2 times one time at 1145am and another time at 1202 pm they finally told me they had an emergency that theycalled to change my appointment time but they never called me. 100% recommend We wanted to take advantage of the energy tax write off and rebates. AZ was so helpful. They gave us an estimate then patiently followed up for 6 months until we were ready to buy. They are a qualified installer via Home Depot which gave us confidence AND we used our Home D credit card for 24 months no-interest financing. AZ was so efficient. They installed a new HVAC in 1 day and were very careful in our house including tarping floors and furniture even though it wasn't a super messy job. They tested all of their work including every vent in the house. They also gave us the info we need to submit for rebates (LADWP etc) and they coordinated the payments through Home D. The unit was tested by a 3rd party and passed with flying colors. AZ also scheduled the city permit process which is needed to get rebates. It was a big scary purchase and AZ helped us through it. Kudos to Nino for managing the crew and leaving our house cleaner then they found it. read more

Our 25 year old air conditioner needed a replacement. They partner with Costco which made the process easy and accessible. There were many logistics to work through being that the unit was on the roof of a three story townhome situated in the back of the 8 unit building. The HVAC installers and crane operator were complete pros. Work was completed in one day with a quick visit from the roofer to seal in a new component on the roof. It was a pricey unit but our home feels great, we can barely hear the air on but the comfort level has increased 10-fold. They left the house clean and no marks on the walls were they installed an additional take in vent. They were polite, friendly and professional. My parents had a whole new system replaced in their home prior and were also very pleased with the results. Highly recommend!! read more

Through Costco about 5 years ago I replaced my 30 year old furnace with a Lennox system AZ Air-conditioning & Heating was the Costco vendor used The 5 year incredibly satisfying experience with my new Lennox furnace was also mainly due to the quality installation done by AZ So when I inquired a couple of weeks ago about possibly getting A/C in my home, I went ahead and scheduled an in home consultation for a week later Ilan Bouzaglo came over to my residence to listen to my situation and needs I call it a consultation and not a sales call because Ilan's visit was an educational lesson and an empathetic one for me He was not sales-pushy He truly listened, taught, shared, and listened some more Ilan understood my needs, and helped to achieve them (and then some) within the style and specific design parameters of my home He also prevented unnecessary expenditures and needless products or services, which he could have easily sold I truly understood that he, and possibly AZ, treat you with fairness, transparency, and care, whether you are financially tight, mega-wealthy, or in between That's how he does business, and I am sure that's why they are so successful ...because they take the long plan, big picture future approach Ilan is not about the right now selfish sales, but about doing what is morally correct ...doing right for the customer who has needs and is spending his/her hard earned money to provide for their families Anyway, a week after that, Rodrigo "Niño" Torres and his crew of installers and the electrician arrived at my home early in the morning for my A/C installation The nine of them descended upon my house They reminded me of a Formula One crew working on a race car, lol Each one had a purpose, skill, and job to do They were synchronized, and it was amazing to witness first-hand the whole entire process because I took an interest in it Niño was like an orchestra conductor, overseeing all stages and being hands-on with his skills What really surprised and amazed me was when I had a question and a couple of rethinks in the beginning of the installation (I tend to be an overthinker and over-analyzer,lol) I called Ilan Once again, he patiently listened, offered advice, and then confidently deferred to Niño's expertise to make the small adjustment It was then done, and it was great to see this solution-oriented synchronicity! We had a 21 year old 10 seer system that was noisy and just not able to keep up anymore. Went thru Costco and purchased a Lennox 18 seer. Tal, the representative from AZ, came out on Saturday 6 Oct 2022. He went over everything with us, stayed over an hour and a half. I asked, if we were to do this, when could they start? He stated Thursday, 6 Oct. I was shocked. I really thought it would take 2-3 months to get it installed. We were told the crew would arrive between 8 and 10am. They were at our door by 7:50am. The crew was awesome. Made sure all the furniture etc was covered. They replaced not only the system outside, but the heater and all the duct work in the attic. Added a couple more air register returns as well. They were amazing, not once did I notice dirt or debris anywhere while they worked. They were professional and communicated well with us and our concerns. Once they completed the install, went over how to set the thermostat etc. They cleaned up everything, and when they left, you never would have known they had been here. Even though we had a 2 day window, the whole job was completed in one day. I can't say enough about them. I HIGHLY recommend AZ. read more

Recently our air conditioner stopped working, it was installed in 1996 so it was probably time for it to be replaced. We got a few quotes, then we approached Costco and were connected to AZ through them. Kevin McNerney was sent by AZ, he came home, inspected the AC and then sat down with us and spent over an hour explaining with images, what exactly was wrong and the various options that we had to proceed, he didn't immediately jump to the most expensive option but he let us think about it and decide and get back to him. We met on a Thursday, he went home and sent us a few quotes based on the options presented to us. I texted him back the next day about which option we wanted to go with but by the time we decided it was already Friday afternoon and we needed the system up by Wednesday as we were going to have some friends over who were staying with us. From then on Kevin was a man on a mission, he worked through the weekend, we exchanged text through Saturday and Sunday and he helped us with the financing and finalized everything by end of Sunday. On Monday he found out that we needed a email from HOA for permits, and we provided the email but the permits could not be obtained by Monday. He sent reps next day to ensure the permits were obtained and the appointment was set for AZ to come out on Wednesday and set things up. On the day of they came early morning and set everything up by 6.30 in the evening. Everything was taken care of and things were working perfectly. Since we went through Costco we got a decent cash back and a free smart thermostat. The gentlemen setting up the system were thorough professionals and explained everything to me before they left. I went through Costco to get to our local installer. Dushaun came out to quote the job and was exceptional. I read a couple Yelp reviews that the project consultants could be pushy and that doesn't work for me as I'm sure it doesn't for many, especially when you think Costco and excellent service and products. Well, Dushaun was all you would want, expect and more! He walked me through what my old systems are doing, new CA and LA County requirements (gov't doesn't make that easy and makes it more expensive; thanks my public officials!), and how the new systems would work. He was very thorough and even gave extra unexpected advice around my current gas line situation. Thanks to Gabby for the intro call and getting us a kick-butt project consultant. We are probably a little bit away from doing our heater and will make it through another winter, but we will look to do our AC soon and we will definitely call Dushaun back out. We need to wait for Lennox Slim AC to be produced and we will call them back to install. read more

Charged me $890 just to put coolant in my AC!!! Nothing else! Told me the alternative was $1900 to do a full line inspection to find out if there was a leak somewhere draining coolant. Very unsatisfied. Do not trust these guys. read more

So we have had this new unit in now for about 7 months. It works ok except for the stupid thermostat keeps slamming the AC compressor on and off really fast about 5 times a day. They said it is a hardware interface problem. Then fix it. I am posting some of the pictures az does for work. Now instead of using the same exhaust as the old unit that flows out the roof. AZ decided to put a new hole in my roof and now when it rains it leaks on the water heater. read more

Yuval giron made sure he sent a different work crew which was much more meticulous and professional than the first. When they couldn't fix all the issues Yural came himself to fix the panel and sent another team to fix the ducts. Marlon on the sales end bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied and had all the information. It was an impressive recovery. read more

Pedro Zabala and his crew did an awesome job on the installation of a new furnace, ducting, return vent widening, manual dampers, and a fabricated plenum. They really cleaned up a past job that had left my previous heater on bricks, with a dryer vent, and a tape connection rather than with metal. Juan with sales also was able to compete on pricing that I had quoted from other companies such as home Depot and other locals. Overall this was really straight forward and simple 1 day installation. I'd recommend to anyone that wants a new combo heating and cooling system or needs to cleanup a poor installation job. read more
