I feel bad for the owner of this place. Let me explain why. I was speaking to customer service rep by the name of SIMON TESFAY in regards to some work that they had performed at by employers commercial building and as soon as I explained what had happened to him and I asked to speak to his supervisor since he said there was nothing that they can do fix my what I consider a minor situation he became very upset and all the professionalism went out the door!! He called me a liar that we had intentionally broken something and became very vulgar and that he didn't care about who I spoke to in regards to our conversation. So I hung up and called right back and spoke to a different representative who explained to me that they can come back to inspect and correct the job they had just finished. I thought about sharing my experience with her but instead of risking the chance of not correcting the situation with Simon Tesfay and just brushing it under the rug I decided to share this here so that upper management or the owner can please correct his behavior. My complaint isn't about the worked they did because over all my boss and I where happy This review is for their customer service department and specially for Simon Tesfay. His choice of words where uncalled for and very unprofessional for him to conduct business in that way. read more

Ilan Bouzaglo arrived at my home very timely and with a very customer friendly attitude (he even wore a mask to ensure our safety during the visit). Ilan was very knowledgeable, highly experienced, and gave an excellent recommendation that resolved my HVAC concerns and saved me a ton of money. Ilan also went above and beyond by helping with my air vent placement and recommending other ways to improve the HVAC in my home, outside of the requirements of my appointment. I originally signed up through Costco to purchase a completely new HVAC system in June of 2016. I was promptly contacted by AZ AIR for an appointment and estimate. This was followed by a survey and extensive meeting, thoroughly explaining my options and recommendations, complete with breakdown of all costs, what's included, as well as the installation expectations. The best part, there was no upselling, and I felt there was complete transparency throughout the process. I decided to move forward with a complete, all new, high end LENNOX HVAC System. I was very impressed with the installation process. I had extensive work done, which included the installation of a completely new HVAC system, including replacing all existing ducting with added ducting and all new registers. Electrical service was extended to the new Compressor unit. And all work was beautifully finished, and the sight was left spotless. Finally, and this is extremely important to me and why I'm always skeptical of contractors in general. Just days before the 5-year warranty was due to expire on the existing "iComfort touch screen" thermostat, it stopped working. I immediately contacted AZ AIR and they promptly sent out a senior technician to confirm the problem. It was determined these iComfort thermostats were no longer offered due to their poor performance. They were being replaced by an "iComfort S30" Smart Thermostat, which were currently on backorder. So the technician set the existing unit to maintain a constant temperature until replaced by the new unit. AZ AIR contacted me several weeks later to confirm the new units had arrived, and arrange an appointment. They also informed me of an additional $425.00 System Diagnostic Fee to install the new thermostat, due to wiring and programming changes. However, they would deduct the $129.00 prior service fee from the charge, leaving a $296.00 net fee. The AZ AIR technician, Jack Hairabian, arrived on time and performed excellent work, skillfully removing old hardware and replacing it with the new hardware. Upon completion of this work, Jack suggested I install a residential air cleaner in the system, noting the quality and no maintenance features of the "iWave-R" unit. He noted the simplicity in the installation, and significant benefit in air quality. Although the cost appeared very high, $950.00, we have a 22 month old child living in the house and pets. So, I trusted AZ AIR and authorized the purchase & installation of the new unit, which took about 20 minutes. The unit has performed very well to date. Subsequent to the purchase, I was reviewing the "iWave-R" unit's reviews online, when I discovered the units were selling for $450.00, and I was taken aback by the cost differential. So, AZ AIR - Consumer Relations Department was contacted about the discrepancy, and Monique, the Manager graciously agreed to honor the lower price. I continue to trust AZ AIR to offer the best service, in a timely and professional manner. They do go the extra mile for their clients. read more

Kevin McNerney from AZ Air came out for a potential HVAC sale. I had already armed myself with 3 quotes from other HVAC companies. Inviting Kevin into my home was very a pleasant experience. He was extremely polite, and his expertise diagnosis of what's required to keep my family warm in the winter and cool in the summer was very palatable. His knowledge on HVAC system were spot on. He also made working toward a HVAC system and price easy. The AZ Air installation team did a precision job inspecting everything and cleaning up as they move around. My wife and I decided that it was time to cool the house more efficiently than with the portables we had scattered throughout our home. My wife did the research and we found ourselves at the table with Mario, a representative from AZ Air Conditioning. That was Thursday 09/22. It is now Wednesday 09/28 and I am spending my 2nd night in my centrally air conditioned home, with a blanket on. AZ Air Conditioning & Heating had promptly set us up with financing and yesterday, 09/27, dispatched a friendly, courteous, and efficient group of workers to make short work of installing central air in our home. I cannot stress enough how painless and simple they made the process. We have a challenging home, and I am currently laid up with a snapped tibia and fibula. Even in this state, I felt well-informed, included in decisions regarding "on the day" modifications that arose as architectural challenges became apparent, and, most importantly, comfortable that I had made the right decision! AZ installed a new heating and air conditioning system in my home years ago through Costco. I have had a maintenance agreement through them ever since. They are very reliable and thorough always showing up on time and providing scheduled maintenance efficiently. The representatives often suggest upgrades to their service but are not pushy about it. This last time in November they cleaned the ducts and cleaned fans at a discount. One fan was due to be cleaned for free at the end of the current contract but they provided this service for free early. Their services seemed reasonably priced to me but I haven't checked anyone else's prices because we are so happy with this service. read more

Alaska Air conditioning...Alaska AC came to our house to repair a downed system. We were not there, but a renter let them in to check it out. They ended up replacing the electric fan motor in the heat exchanger, the unit with the condenser in it sits out side. They charged us $1000. The electric motor retails for under $100 and it takes 30 mins to install. When i called they just said thats the price. These people are not who you want fixing your A/C problems. From the beginning with Dushaun, the consultant, who was extremely informative, came to our apartment twice to explain the process of the installation, concluded the contract & most importantly cleared the way with the HOA for the installation & permits. On the day of installation Rodrigo (Nino) arrived punctually at 8:30 with his team of 4. They were all super neat and did an amazing job. Upon completion Nino made sure that everything was functioning correctly. He then set up the smart thermostat and the app on my iphone. I must say he is always prompt, polite, and he makes sure he protects your flooring due to the comings and going's. Tony is definitely a valuable asset to the company. We had our central air ducts cleaned and an ionizer installed recently by AZ. I was having sneezing fits recently at home and haven't had one since the duct cleaning. But the most important and amazing result is our daughter, who is very allergic to cats, was able to be at our house unmedicated and completely free of symptoms. Bad Customer Service I had an appointment scheduled with them yesterday between the hours of 5p-6p and no one showed or called to say they weren't coming. They called yesterday afternoon to confirm. When I called them this morning to find out what happened, no one was able to give me an explanation. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and let them reschedule me for another appointment but when they called me back I was informed that the earliest time they had available was Monday of next week. We are finally getting the remote control. Our unit in the master bedroom is rattling. The part is on order. The company has been kind however, they just do repairs- so in less than 2 months we are repairing a motor on a unit we've used a handful of times. Every time we talk to someone at the company they (cheerfully) explain that they just repair and our parts are on back order. So, we basically have to accept that our brand new unit is in need of repairs because they're not the manufacture. read more

This company performed at all levels. The professionalism started with the job walk and quote from Dushaun Tucker. I had already had 2 contractors review the job so we were able to boil it down pretty quick. Dushaun was thorough and complete with solid explanations of key facts and requirements. He committed to a 1 day installation the following week. The team led by Jose Luis Harrata arrived promptly at 8 AM and set up all the floor, furniture and wall coverings. The wore all the correct PPE including shoe coverings. They worked diligently through out the day and Jose kept me updated on the progress and confirmed each step in advance to insure it was as agreed. Luis had great customer skills, but he was also a great leader of his team. The seem to work in harmony and really get along, while getting the job done very professionally. Work is completed in one day with plumbers, electricians, and inspections at a later time. They might be pricey, but their work speaks volumes for the price you pay. Our journey began with Mario, he walked through our house taking measurements, checked our old unit, and provided us with several options. His presentation was thorough and informative. The pictures of their completed installations sold me! You have to see them for yourself. The following day Marlon arrived to check our old systems water line. With that information we decided to upgrade from a 2.5T unit to 3T unit. They installed all new ductwork and registers to increase air intake, added a Lennox filter to reduce pet dander and allergens, and installed a new smart thermostat. Marlon's follow through from beginning to end was incredible. He was reliable and professional. The team was quite and left all areas they worked in like new. After installation, I had an issue with a light switch. Not a problem, Marlon sent his team to my house to investigate the issue, after a long day of work. Mid August, our AC system decided to call it quits after 18 hrs of life. After shopping at Costco, they referred us to AZ Air Conditioning. With this in mind, we couldn't go wrong if Costco is partnered with them and gave us peace of mind that our new AC system is backed by Costco. When we met AZ Air Project Consultant (Mike), he evaluated our AC system and he made us feel so comfortable and not pressured about how much a new ac system and duct replacement would cost. We decided to replace the duct system too, since its still the original since our house was built in 1973. AZ team are true professionals all the way down to the installer level. Pedro, their lead installer, and his crew of 5 are top notch, hard working professionals. I had to leave my wife alone while the work was being done due to my duties at my office. But Mike, being such caring project consultant, reassured me that he would stay and oversee the whole installation. That speaks volume. Pedro kept my wife updated at all time, as well. When the job was completed, Pedro explained all the paperwork and showed their work to my wife all the way up in the attic. Boy, was she impressed. AZ Air just spent one hell of a long day upgrading our out dated 1960's furnace, old ducting and no AC to a beautiful 3ton Lennox system in preparation for summer. Initiated through Costco, AZ air couldn't have done a cleaner, more complete job, the large crew of 7-10 workers throughout the day were all hard working, professional and polite. Their care for all items and cleanliness of our home while working was so appreciated and never asked for. They knew it's a home as so treated it as such. The methods used to install everything perfectly without a trace of construction afterwards made this a stress free end to an exciting day. The result is a powerful HVAC system to keep us cool while appearing as if it's been here all along. Our consultant and rep, Johnathan from AZ Air did a great job from our first meeting and consultation all the way through the purchase process, during install day and continued to see us through the required inspections that followed. His multiple visits from the long reaches of LA and clear communication made this all so smooth. We couldn't be happier with the product, appearance and complete end result. This company pulled a bait and switch. I was approached by one of their reps while leaving Costco. I explained that I needed a whole home water filtration system. The rep assured me they offered that service after I pointed out that it was listed on their list of services. Within ten minutes of leaving Costco I received a phone call, text and email from AZ air. I spoke to another rep in charge of making appointments. I asked this person all the same questions and she assured me that whole water was part of the services they provide. The morning of the appointment I called AZ air to confirm my appointment. At this time I asked about the whole home water filtration system and again was assured that was a service they provided. Later that morning I met with the service rep at my home just to find out that is not a service they provide and that I was mislead. I would never trust a company that misleads you just to get their foot into the door. Personally I would avoid at all costs. Very upset with this company. They installed our mini splits and that whole process went fine but then I keep getting calls from rapid duct testing. I think it's just a scam and they want more money so I ignore them. Finally, I answer and it turns out they were hired by AZ to come do duct testing. First off I got DUCTLESS MINI SPLITS, so make it make sense with the DUCT testing. Next, AZ didn't inform me that I would need this "DUCT" testing to pass final inspection. The guy came, and he was late, literally took two pictures and left. Like, what was that even about? There was no communication from AZ whatsoever. read more

I absolutely would return to AZ for any installation of a system -- they were brilliant ... SIX stars as the work people were thoughtful, clean, helpful, and terrific. Why only three stars? Because accidentally, one of the window handles was broken and I only saw it after the job was completed. Initially, they were terrific: someone came, took the broken part, and photographed another of the 3 identical handles and said they would replace that one as well. That was 4-5 months ago. I call, their customer service person, Monique, does not return my call and nothing is resolved. Why don't I forget about it? I'm 83. I did offer that -- if they couldn't find a replacement I would pay for the 2 new ones that were needed. No one responded to that either. This review would not have been written if I could have determined who was the CEO. I'll bet I would have gotten a response! read more

I have had good dealings in the past with AZ air conditioning and unfortunately, this last experience left me very angry to say the least. It took them 3 weeks for them to come out to even look at our system to see what the problem was. So after about 3 weeks of waiting with no AC, they did come and fix the problem. They told me I should flush my system and that would probably fix my problem. Which cost 4x what the initial fee for them to come out. Fine. They had fixed the problem so I paid it. But 3 days later, the problem happened again and my AC was out. I had called for the technician to come back since it was obviously a temporary solution. When I called back to make an appointment it was another 3 weeks for them to come to fix their problem. The person scheduling had ZERO sympathy or recourse and their only response was, well if that appointment does not fit your schedule I have another appointment 6 weeks out. There was NO feeling of responsibility of fixing what they did. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend this company at all anymore. read more

To be clear, I don't know sh*t about air conditioning. That said, my ac was working before they came, I called them for a cleaning, and then they tried to leave with it not working and convincing me that my unit was "broken" and needed to be replaced. The technician they sent me had a very kind demeanor but I quickly felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me like this is their MO (you call for a specific service, they give you a deal for a full inspection because they do not do any services without a full inspection, and then they find all these things wrong with your unit). I found another company that's a small mom and pop and they gave me a realistic breakdown of things. I don't have to change many of the parts for at least another year.
