Olga is the only person I've ever trusted with my face. I've been with her for a year now and my skin has never looked better after years of acne. To start I want to say that all my life I had acne on my chin and tried probably every existing product for problem skin. I came to DVida spa to try a hydra facial which was performed by Olga. She is very knowledgeable and pleasant esthetician who explained step by step what she is doing and why it's good for the skin. She also suggested some treatment for me to help improve my skin and I can't explain how happy I am with everything she suggested. I am now in love with this place and people who work there. Everyone is very attentive and professional. I also had ipl treatment performed by Diana, she made this quite unpleasant procedure (at least for me it is) as comfortable and relaxing as possible. I could not be happier with my Botox done by Tina! She was absolutely amazing. I've done Botox once before but the result was minimal. Tina however knew exactly what she was doing, took the time to explain and educate me. I didn't need a lot so I wasn't sure how much of a difference I would actually see. The difference is subtle and natural enough that I look like myself, but enough for friends and family of mine to tell me I look great but can't quite put their finger on why until I tell them I had Botox. I'm BACK!!! IPL Photofacial treatment has made a significant reduction of hyperpigmentation. Like many, my self-care has suffered over the past few years. I have recommitted to following a consistent routine. In addition, I returned to Dvida Spa to jump start some of the needed improvements. I use sunscreen consistently but must not reapply often enough. Hyperpigmentation is springing up everywhere in my face. With my mature skin, it has aged my appearance. Diana was able to target 2 of the most problematic areas. After only 3 days, much of the pigmentation has flaked off. As expected, I'll need another treatment to clean up the others areas and fine tune. THANKS! Next up is going back to using Botox to lessen the scowl lines btwn my brows. But the reason I am giving less stars is that, I told the business to charge me a 20% tip. Which would be $11. But they charged me $12. I think they should have confirmed the amount once. Diana is amazing with IPLs!!! She effectively reduced the redness in scarring that were 7 years old. These were real, atrophic scars on my cheeks and not hyper pigmentation. I'm a huge skin junkie. I've been less than impressed by IPLs at other medical spas and dermatology offices despite many attempts to subside residual redness from old scarring. Basically saw no difference each time and I've done 6 rounds. I thought I'd have to go a more aggressive route like vBeam. Also, I've done a lot of different cosmetic procedures to fix these scars and traveled all over the country. I was going to rule out IPLs out altogether..until I tried Dvida. I can attest that the IPLs here are great. Even after the first treatment, I was sold! And I saw improvements with each successive IPL after that. Nothing is worse than tossing money and not knowing how many more treatments are needed until you see results. I'm so happy I didn't have to do something more invasive. Now, I only go in for a touch up because I can barely see the redness in the scarring. These were scars that would flare bright red when I got out the shower, or when my body felt hot. Time alone did not fade these. Though the results are great, Diana's works are gentle. She is very sweet and listens to your concerns patiently. She makes sure to go over the most troublesome spots. I forget that I have these scars now even without make up, which is the best feeling ever! I totally recommend Diana! She is the only one I trust to do IPLs. read more

3/16/2019 Man where do I start, if I can only give this place 10stars I would (most of it because of the staff, especially Diana). This morning, I had an appointment for massage and facial, however, for some reason, there was a miscommunication regarding the time. I was scheduled in their system at 9am and I thought it was 0930a. I came there at 0930a and not expecting to be late but I was. Nevertheless, the staff still took me in. I think the person who checked me in was Olga. She was nice enough to not cancel my scheduled appointments. Olga and Nina were professionals. They didn't give me any negative attitude/rude although I was 30 mins late on their time. Nina was the person who gave me my massage, and I couldn't even more thankful for her. Now my left shoulder & my right elbow are feeling better. She took her time and gave me my 60 mins Swedish massage. Diana did my facial from the very beginning i found out this place. I didn't even know that she's the spa director. She's very accommodating and understanding. When I signed up for this place I was sold because of her. However, I'm moving in two weeks to Vegas, and she informed me that she will take care of it since I signed up for the package. I couldn't even more grateful for her. She told me today that she treats everyone like her family which tells me every time she does my facial, so she understands my situation about moving. Unfortunately, I won't be able to explore much of their packages since I'm moving out of state. If you live in chicago, you know how spa places can be expensive, you would appreciate this cute spa/professional staff even more. I have been going to Adriana since 2016. She makes you feel super conformable and does only what you ask her to do. She's very friendly/bubbly and listens to me ramble on about work and life. The girl who checks you in is also just as friendly and helpful. She'll work with you're schedule to find you an appointment that works best for you. I'm very particular about my waxing/Brazilian.Even if one hair is left behind I get really frustrated. Adriana has to to know this because she makes sure every single hair is gone. She uses soft wax/strips which I was always told hurt more than hard wax but that is 100% false. The strips are quick and less painful. She's also very quick so you're in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. I'm also very picky about my eyebrows. In previous places I use to give really detailed explanations on how I want them to look but I don't need to do that with Adriana. I just tell her to make them look good and she always does. If you get Brazilians regularly I recommend doing the membership. It's $48 monthly ($60 without membership) and you also get a discount on other services. They also have a really convenient online portal. You can book/reschedule all your appointment from there. If you're looking for your go to salon, try Dvida! It's reasonably priced, clean and very comforting! You won't regret it! read more

What was good: -Top notch waxing job by a lovely esthetician -Easy online booking let's you see availability, pricing, and the staff member for each time slot - I love this so much! Neutral: -As many people have pointed out, this spa is in a basement of a salon. I went there for one of their rare after 5pm appointment slots, so it was indeed a ghost town. It was just a bit unusual, not necessarily bad. What could improve: -The waxing room - holy cow this was definitely my least favorite room I've received a wax in, ever. I can't say for sure that it wasn't clean, but it was so old, and dingy, I couldn't tell. Combined with the lights off/empty building it was pretty unnerving a weird vibe. -Basically, this is not a luxe spa experience. It was professional & well done, but the ambiance was lacking. Now I know why they don't have pics of the spa on their website! Would I go back? Yes, but only after I checked out my other options. To me the fantastic waxing job & online booking are more important than the overall experience, but it still left me thinking I should try some other places & see how they do. So far, I haven't gotten as good a wax elsewhere, so Dvida may see me again! read more

I purchased a Groupon for this spa and scheduled my appointment online, which was very quick and convenient. The service price with the Groupon was comparable to other spas in the area, and with the high reviews on Yelp, I decided to give them a try. As someone else previously mentioned, I'm also confused about the high ratings for Dvida. When you walk into the spa upstairs, it's very nice and well maintained, but as soon as you walk down the stairs (it's in the basement), you're walking into well... a very under maintained basement. The walls weren't finished, there were holes in the ceiling from moving lights that had never been patched, there was no one at the desk (it was a Saturday morning), and the lights were all off except in the main reception area. The chairs you sat on waiting were old and cracking. All in all, the looks did not match up to the upstairs or expectations of a high-quality spa. Moving onto the treatment, I was told that I wasn't a candidate for the service due to having a breakout, which I was slightly confused by, as my aesthetician at another salon said this was exactly why I should get dermaplaning since it regenerates the skin by taking off the top layer, which would remove my dry skin moving into the fall/winter months. At that point, I probably should've just asked for a refund as I "wasn't a good candidate" and left, but I let Olga talk me into the peel instead. Honestly, the peel was great and Olga was very pleasant, but it wasn't what I had paid for and wanted. The peel left my skin feeling nice, but when discussing future recommendations for my skin, the services offered here full-priced are extremely high for a salon whose walls aren't even painted and the lights are off. Honestly, the cost of services versus the quality of the facility just doesn't add up to me, and for that reason, I'll be going elsewhere. Olga was really nice and did a good job, but that was the only good part of my treatment and I feel that she deserves for me to give this place three stars. read more

After getting a skin consultation she gave me two options I chose the more expensive route. The hydro facial. Intensive deep pore facial. Much needed! What I didnt like: I was surprised when I wasnt being asked to remove my clothes or tucked into a warm heated bed. You keep all your clothes on and lay down on a fuzzy bed. The reason I like being heated is because I get cold maybe somebody else would be fine with this. read more

I am confused on why the ratings are so high for this place. The spa is in the basement of a hair salon and the two times I went, half the spa was in darkness like they were closed and no other clients were there making it seem like it was a shady operation. I received two services on two separate occasions. The Body Scrub & the M'LIS Body Contour Wrap. The body scrub wasn't half bad, there are definitely places that do it better and in a nicer facility, but I would have gone here again if it wasn't so overpriced, $90. You are not getting a $90 service, more like $60. The M'LIS Wrap was a joke. For $110 they wrap you in seran wrap, which takes half the allotted time, then have you lay down for 15 - 20 minutes and then they unwrap you. That's it. It was such a waste of time and money. They also have all these instructions for pre/post service but my person was just like, nope, you don't have to do anything, when I asked about the instructions. Not sure why they even offer this service. read more

To give you a little background about me I average 8-10 facials a year for probably the last 5-6 years. Got a facial today, skin feels great but i feel a bit ripped off. I scheduled the deep pore facial, it said 50 minutes $85. Got to my appoint at 3:45, they took me back at 4:07, started facial at 4:15 and I was done by 4:51.
