After talking to my stepmom about how much she loves her Madewell jeans, I decided that as soon as I returned home I was going to do it. Not only that...I was going to ask an expert to help me on my mission. That is where Claire came in. With minimal information from me (approx size, styles I like and do not like) she grabbed 2 pair of jeans and put me in a room. I tried in the first pair (10" high rise skinny)and they were made for me. To quote Marie Kondo, they "sparked joy". These are my perfect pair. They are long enough and the little areas that I felt self conscious about in most jeans were no longer noticeable. Could it really have been that easy? I had anticipated trying jeans on for at least an hour and still quite likely not loving a pair enough to spend almost $150 (with tax). But I had success immediately. I need the long length and it's just great that they have some in the store. Such an amazing feeling when your pants are the right length. These pants don't fall down throughout the day at all despite having a ton of stretch. This is the first time in forever I'm not having to wear a belt. I'm in my upper 40's and, despite being thin, I struggle with my stomach area a bit. My body looks great in these and I feel so confident. I am grateful for the return of high rise as it helps hold everything in comfortably. While these pants are speedy, they are 100% worth it. I wish I'd bought them sooner. Instead I bought numerous pairs of jeans that I don't love, that don't look as good as they could and aren't comfortable. The price of these easily exceeded the cost of 3-4 pair of Madewell jeans. These are timeless, good quality and will last forever. They are actually a great deal when I consider all of that. Go on in and find your perfect jeans! Still not quite enough to be sporting madewell daily uniforms any time soon, but you make it work. Also! The student discount here is the bomb. With just your school ID, you can tack on an extra 15% off so definitely take advantage. As for comparing this madewell with others, it pretty much fits the bill for your average madewell. Like exactly... in size and layout and service. Very consistent across all locations. This one is situated on 29th street mall, which is nice because it seems you don't have to fight the usual crowds of indoor malls. And it's the very new and only store in Boulder so I'm super thrilled I don't have to make the drive down to Denver anymore!

Today I walked in to a mass of beautiful fabric colors for summer styles, packed so tightly on the rack it was often hard to see what the garment was. Skirts and pants need separation to view. Athletic tops and bathing suits all squished together on one bar. But not a single Toad & Co skirt as appeared in the website. The staff member was pleasant and just shrugged and said that none were there. She also said that there were no skirts at all in knee length streetwear, just dressy wrap skirts or long dress skirts. What a wasted trip for me. If you are looking for skorts, shorts, swimwear, long dresses or any sort of tops, the color palette is almost endless and the quality is good from past experience.

Very rarely does something fit me here and when I do find something that looks good and is a good value because it is on sale, it often does not hold up well. Or certainly not as well as I would like. Often, sweaters shed or pill and other items look tired too soon, no matter how much care I take. And in this store, I find that the full price is too much for the quality of the product. There are stores I gladly pay a higher, full price since my size is often gone before they hit clearance and the quality of the item is really worth it. I did buy something on this last visit that I am hoping will serve me well. It fit well and was the sort of skirt I have been looking for all year. And it was a 40% off all merchandise day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the store is attractive and the dressing rooms always clean. Those are all wins in my life.

Ok , so it's that time when duty calls and I have to search for and decide on a new pair of…read moreworkboots. Fortunately my employer pitched and provided me with a voucher as one of thier benefits. I attempted to go to the location in Brighton last week but unfortunately there was only one associate working and there were 3-4 potential customers ahead of me so I opted for the Thornton location, this week to give it another go. I walked just after opening and was greeted by Ms. Sandra. Who also winded up being my consultant on picking a new pair of boots. I explained my working conditions and what was important to me in a boot. After listening to my needs she walked me over to the for possibly lack of the correct term "fit right" analization area/ system. This system measures both feet and than you perform a walk test to see how your feet actually walk and make contact with the ground therefor enabling them to provide inserts for your boots/ hikers if needed. After that we discussed which boots would be best for my feet and working conditions. She explained the pros and cons of particular boots and I selected a free different ones to try on, she willing went to the back to check stock and returned for the try-on process. During this process I was fortunate enough to have the attention of both consultants Sandy and Travis, as I was the only customer for a brief period. They both willing answered all my questions and offered additional information that I did not think to ask. Even the different brands that they carried including Worx, Irish Setter, and Red Wing . Comparable on a grading scale as to good,better , and Best. They also offer many accessories including socks,gloves,hats and any and all maintenance needs for the upkeep of your new boots/shoes, plus many other items I did not mention. So in the end would I recommend? , most definitely! But I would recommend to set aside some time to really take a look and ask questions and try on different styles and be open to thier knowledge and expertise because to be honest, going in I wasn't going to buy the inserts because I've had them before and didn't think they did much to help but just thinking about it and listening to them both I figured why could it hurt because they do give you 30 days to return them if you don't think they are working out . So what's the harm? But it's all up to you. But trust your judgment as I did listen to them but pick your boots because they are your feet.

Often though, I have to order something online to get the petite size but at least I can get a sense of the item from the regular sized stock. They are using less natural fibers than they used to. Many tops that used to be all cotton, or cotton with a little spandex for shape are now being made with some polyester blend, which I cannot wear because of sensitivity. The people in this store are exceptionally nice and helpful, and though the Boulder store is so much closer, I prefer to shop here. The whole experience is better.
