Contacted Fernando and Mario in November. Had extensive emails back and forth about the project. Took til the end of January to get someone to come to our house for measurements and get a quote. Even though it took forever to get them out, it seemed promising. I have sent multiple emails since February about getting a quote. It's now mid April. With each email they say they will get the quote ready, but never send it. If they don't want to do the project or don't have the time, they should just tell their clients this. I had them install a $500+ Marantec opener in 2012 & all new springs and they did a very good job. They came out again in 2015 and replaced a broken Spring ($120) and it held up until now, 2019. So I called and left Fernando a message asking them if they could come out and show me some new garage doors and/or fix this broken spring. NO CALLBACK. Called them again and left another message for Fernando and he called me back. He was busy so he said he'd call me back in 20 minutes. NO CALLBACK. Dynamic Garage Door's main business focus is creating one-of-a-kind custom garage doors for the mansions of the OC. With that said, I initially found them searching for "garage door installation" on Craigslist. They are absolutely superb. After an over-the-phone consultation, I reserved / purchased a garage door motor for my new home and scheduled a time for it to be installed. Very fast, easy, and convenient. They take credit card payments, which basically solidifies them as being a legitimate business in my eyes. Understandably, I feel safer charging on the credit card as opposed to paying for a service with cash. Fast forward: when Fernando came out to see my garage, he noted that my Expedition was quite tall and would not fit in my garage with the motor I had chosen. I really appreciate that honesty and awareness. He then gave me a few recommendations for motors which would work in that situation (but that they didn't sell, so I'd have to buy the model myself). He then explained that as a courtesy, once I purchased the motor, Dynamic Garage Door would send someone out to install it for me at a cost of $120 (they usually don't do installation without a purchase). Even now, the installation cost absolutely floors me. For a company making $30,000+ custom doors, to send someone out to do 3 hours worth of work installing a garage door they didn't even sell is beyond unbelievable to me. They have always been great accommodating my veryvery tight schedule. Both times, Fernando came out after normal business hours, around 7 PM (and even offered to install my door on the weekend). DGD is quick to answer the phone, on time for appointments, professional and communicative. Extremely easy to work with; they get the job done fast with a high quality result. Very pleased, highly recommended. Definitely going to check out their showroom in Santa Ana once it opens. I'm excited to see these five-figure doors in all their glory. ^_^ read more

Within 45 minutes of calling I had a technician at our house. He showed up early, was efficient and clean, didn't high-pressure sell me any upgrades, etc and gave me a free 9V battery for my access code box. Very, very, very pleased. I found them via a google search in which their Craiglist ad popped up. I called 4 ads that popped and chose them in spite of them being slightly more expensive because they said they could take care of it asap. Great find! I'll call again when I need them. read more

My boyfriend, who does not have a Yelp account (the shame!) insisted I leave a 5-star review for this place after they came out to fix our garage door. We'd been parking in the driveway and the street for several days, putting off having the garage door repaired because of fears of cost and just hassle with the service people. But these guys were so great. They came out the same day, right on time, and had the door fixed promptly. It was a few hundred bucks, but that was less than we feared. We wanted to get our daughter and son-in-law's garage door repaired for their anniversary. We called one company and they wanted a lot just for a service call. We called Dynamic and they sent Fernando out at no charge. He found that the door had plastic components that had broken. He said he could get the needed parts, but they would likely break again, since they were still plastic. He recommended metal replacement parts, ordered them and modified the door so they would fit-all at a very reasonable cost which was less than the other company wanted just to come out on a service call! Garage door spring broke on a Friday night. They gave me an immediate quote over the phone Saturday morning and had an open appointment for me that afternoon (no extra charge for Saturday work). They were a little late but communicative and apologetic about it and the actual repair went amazingly fast. Price was VERY competitive and I was charged exactly what I was quoted over the phone. My in-laws roll up garage door jammed and couldn't close. I went over and was able to get the door down for over night security. I called dynamic the next day and they quoted $95 for up to 3 hours of labor. They showed up about 15 minutes late for their 6PM appointment but they were efficient and clean and completed the job in less than a hour. One of the cable reels was broken which they replaced for an extra $45. I was pleased with their work ethic and efficiency. The repairman overcharged me by $ 65 (instead of $ 95 as quoted, charged me $ 160 for 40 minutes of work and no part replacement) Fernando at the office promised a refund of $ 65, but that was six weeks ago, and I called him 3 or 4 times during this period to check the status. Each time, he "promised" to get a check issued, but nothing happened. I will amend the comment here if Dynamic's management quickly resolves this dishonest and misleading practice to my satisfaction. Otherwise, I will report my experience to Better Business Bureau, Angie's List, and others, for their dishonest business practice so others will not regret using them. read more

They must be going out of business. I have called several times to their service department to have someone come and replace my garage door broken's spring, but, I can not talk to anyone live, left a voice mail yesterday morning, and it has been more than 24 hours with no return call. I tried to speak to the service manager or the business owner and no one is available again. Our cars are stuck in the garage and we can not manually open the garage door as it is way too heavy....Stay away from this business. read more
