When only about 70% of the work was done, they told me the job was "complete," even though basic things like door frames weren't installed. They just wanted their money so they could move on to the next project. They also don't keep their promises. They left trash, leftover food, and construction mess everywhere. They promised to haul away debris on the second day and then vanished completely. The owner, Jose, has a terrible attitude. Bottom line: they want your money without putting in the work. Reply to your comment Jose: There may be two sides to every story, but when many customers raise the same concerns, it's worth taking a closer look internally. Repeatedly responding to negative reviews by blaming or insulting customers instead of acknowledging issues only reinforces those concerns. This review reflects my actual experience. I stand by what I wrote. I hope you take this feedback as an opportunity to improve rather than deflect responsibility.

The weather strip is also not fitting correctly and we were having a hard time closing the door as it was too thick that we have to hold on to the door and lock it at the same time. Look at the photos for reference. We called them to fix it and sure he isn't happy but he came back and stripped off the weather strip which leaves us with spaces around the door. It's really terrible work. I also regret switching from our old door to this because of this problem. They leave their work area so dirty that I have to clean after them. Also, no proper receipt was given at first. I had to tell him we were looking at changing our windows (a service he also provides) and that's when he sent me a proper receipt. We found someone else for the windows who are absolutely professionals, clean and give proper invoices and receipts. I really hate putting bad reviews for small businesses but I am left with pretty much a crappy job. I wouldn't recommend this company.

When I called them back to repair it, they wanted to charge me another 33% of the original build/install price to remove, sandblast, and repaint the railings. That's because they keep deleting their reviews and restarting their profile, probably because of their bad customer service and ratings.

In mid-April, I contacted 6 metal fabricators requesting a custom iron double gate to replace a…read more20-year-old dilapidated wooden gate. JRC's Jesse promptly arrived, carefully measured the space, and took many notes on my design. JRC's final estimate was very detailed, and the cost was exactly what I had expected between the other estimates I'd received. I put down 50%, and Jesse said it should take 4-6 weeks. Everything was going well until I realized it was the beginning of June and I hadn't heard from Jesse in 8 weeks. After my calls went unreturned, I emailed JRC's Director of Operations, Stephanie, who replied, "Jesse said he and one of our welders are working on your order, and you can expect completion in about a week. By Monday, we should have a better scope of exact install dates." After still not hearing from Jesse by the end of June, I reached out to Stephanie again for an update, who reported, "Our welder said he expects himself to be done tomorrow. We will be sending it to be powder coated, which just takes a day or 2." Another 3 weeks later in mid-July, with no installation date scheduled, I got a last-minute call explaining that they just had a cancellation and that they could install it today if I was available. Arnie arrived within the spontaneously scheduled window and got right to work installing the gate and meticulously making sure it was exactly right. He even hauled away the heavy old gate, which was very much appreciated. In the end, I'm very happy with the final build and installation, but JRC's communication leaves much room for improvement. I'd reached out to Jesse on a few occasions, and it took weeks to get a single response. A simple message that things were moving slower than expected or that it was going to take 12 weeks instead of 4-6 would have gone a long way. Also, having an actual installation date versus a last-minute cancellation that I could fill for them would have improved the overall process. Thankfully, Arnie left a very strong and professional last impression, as did Stephanie for her prompt and repeated replies. I only wish I didn't have to manage the project after all the missed milestones and awkward radio silences.

The representative I initially worked with, KK, was extremely nice before and during much of the project. Unfortunately, everything changed once problems arose with the installation. The installation team came out to measure my existing doors, took the measurements back, and had the doors made. However, the new doors ended up being larger than my original doors, which required the door opening to be widened in order for the installation to work. I also paid extra for hidden hinges, but after installation we discovered that the hidden hinges were not compatible with my home because the doors needed to sit flush against the wall. As a result, I had to switch to regular hinges, which are less expensive than the hidden hinges I originally paid for. The communication and customer service after the problems surfaced were extremely disappointing. An installation manager scheduled a follow-up appointment with me, and I rearranged my schedule and missed work for that appointment. He never showed up and never contacted me beforehand to let me know he would not be coming. I only found out later in the day after repeatedly reaching out myself. When I spoke with management, the conversations became argumentative and dismissive instead of solution-oriented. We went back and forth several more times regarding what needed to be corrected. Eventually, there was a clear agreement about what the installation team would do when they returned -- specifically, moving the door over to properly address the issue. However, when the team came back out, they did not follow the agreed plan. Instead, they simply swapped out the hinges and asked if everything was okay. At that point, I realized I was not going to get anywhere with the company. I no longer felt comfortable allowing them to continue opening walls, removing doors, or attempting additional major modifications because I did not want to risk creating even bigger problems. I also reached out to KK requesting reimbursement for the difference in cost between the hidden hinges I paid for and the regular hinges that were ultimately used. In addition, because I had been told the door frame would need to be made smaller, I purchased additional molding ahead of time at a cost of $18.74. I sent the receipt and explanation by email and received no response. After several more days passed, I called KK directly, and her attitude had completely changed. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she asked me, "What is it that you want?" At this point, the company has refused to reimburse me for: * The price difference between the hidden hinges and regular hinges * The $18.74 I spent on molding that I only purchased because of the plan they communicated to me The amount itself is not even the main issue. The issue is the lack of accountability, poor communication, failure to follow through on agreed repairs, and the drastic change in professionalism once problems arose -- even when those problems resulted from their own measurements and installation process. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage future customers to be very cautious when dealing with this company. In my experience, everything was pleasant until there was a problem. Once issues came up, getting fair treatment, communication, and accountability became extremely difficult. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them.

We ended up not even shopping around as Alfredo's pricing very fair considering the high quality insulated doors he offers with installation and all "extras" included (weather stripping, high clearance tracks, etc). He was honest and upfront about cost, potential stucco damage, wait times and his recommendations. We also appreciated that he was not pushy at all and did not try to upsell us on anything. We were excited to hear that the door was ready in 3 days when Alfredo was thinking it might take 2-3 weeks because of COVID manufacturing delays. My Husband was planning to install a new Side Mounted top-of-the-line Garage Door Opener himself but we ended up paying Alfredo do it to save us on time (well worth the small extra fee he charged). Good thing as it ended up being much more complicated because of clearance and spacing issues. Alfredo being a pro took care of it for us. We ordered and supplied the opener my husband wanted. The installation was quicker than we could have imagined one guy doing while also cleaning up after himself like he did.  The end result was shocking and we wish we would have done it sooner. Will for sure recommend Alfredo to friends & family and will 100% use him again if we need to.
