Fast forward 4 weeks (install on the 8th week) absolutely crickets - couldn't get a hold of anyone, the lady Maria who was dealing with my order promised to call me back several times after I called probably 100 times. She was pulling me along, stopped answering my calls and were now on week 12 and no door and no update on when the door will even be installed. He explained the damage so that I understood what happened, gave me a repair cost estimate (which was fair), and promptly made the necessary repairs. He then recommended that because of the age of my garage door/parts, I should replace the springs, end-bearings, and drums in order to avoid risk of future damage that could be worse. He gave me an estimate on the cost of replacements/service and I took his recommendation. Guy was able to complete the replacements very quickly and then took the time to explain to me exactly what repairs/replacements he completed. He was also able to install a wireless keypad that I had requested. In total, the repairs, replacements, and payment took 45 minutes. Guy provided quick, friendly, and professional service for a fair price (I did some price researching online). Great experience overall - I would highly recommend!

Guy at Urban Garage Door was actually my first call at Urban Garage Door Repair Services. He asked some very specific questions regarding the garage door, made a quick assessment over the phone, and scheduled me for the next day early in the morning at 7:30 AM--on a Sunday. Crazy how fast he was able to make it out, and I was very appreciative of that. He arrived exactly on time, with a text message 30 minutes prior to let me know he was on his way. This is very professional and appreciated, because who doesn't want an update--especially on an early Sunday morning while you're making breakfast for the kids? He got here, was very professional, made a quick physical assessment of the situation, and gave me a finalized estimate in person. The estimate he gave me on the phone was very accurate and matched very closely with the in-person assessment. He made quick work of the situation and took care of the broken springs in no time. He also let me watch and explained the process to me as he was repairing the garage door. This was simply awesome. Now, I'm not going to go ahead and repair a garage door myself, but it was nice to have a clear and concise explanation of what he was doing and his rationale. My two car garage door was dragging up and coming down hard. The tech told me I needed a complete restoration to save the life of the motor. Quoted me $1,700 to what I learned now was to replace the cables and rollers. It was not the service he claimed to perform. I was concerned about the cost- researched online for the repair he recommended but found nothing that came close to the $1,700 quote. I decided to check in with my contractor after I authorized work, he questioned the tech about the cost of service over the phone. I sent my contractor a video of the service tech said he performed. Contractor told tech parts would be at the most $300. So Sunwest was charging me $1,400 for labor??? That's just unethical! I'm attaching their "bill of sale" that simply lists the condition of my garage door -not the work they claimed to be performing. On top of the ridiculous up charge the vendor never offered me the least expensive repair option of around $500 that's listed. I again questioned the cost and expressed that I could possibly get a new door for that much money. The tech went as far as telling me a new door, after Covid and prices rising, would cost me $6k. My contractor said he would get a complete new system installed for under $2k. In the end I refused service and asked them to restore my garage door as it was. The tech got his boss on the line and asked me to talk so we could come to some sort of discount. I refused to do business with them.
