    Famously huge potstickers!
    Xtina D.

Finally grabbed takeout from here after wanting to try it so long! Their potsticker reputation piqued my interest the most but I also got some sesame chicken and vegetable fried rice. I'm always excited when I find flavorful rice with actual veggies in it and this didn't disappoint. Neither did the huge pot stickers and S chicken. Photos for you to decide for yourself! Also the lady who helped me check out my order when I arrived was very sweet and friendly. The restaurant is nice and clean.

Dynasty China Bistro is a very clean and open restaurant. I had a beautiful lunch with special Chowmein, fried rice and egg roll. Annie was my server and she was outstanding. I will be back again. Julie A

My mom and I had the idea to order Chinese food, at the same time! That never happens....ever! So, I knew it was definitely something to get. I just needed to decide where. I knew what the 3 household members like and had to find a place that could supply it. I was ordering delivery so I checked reviews there too. I wanted a place I hadn't tried yet. That is my goal this year...try new things. So I went with Dynasty China Bistro. Very satisfied! Me, my mom, and my partner! We all were very happy with the portions sizes (lasted 3 days), flavor, texture, and selection! For my mom, I ordered the chicken/beef/pork chow mein with fried rice, egg drop soup, and egg roll. She LOVED it! I got the lemon chicken, my partner got chicken chow mein. We shared the vegetable fried rice and pan fried pot stickers (so good and so big!). I will order from here again!! Highly recommend you try them out!

I read about Dynasty China Bistro having the best pot stickers in Reno in a Reno Gazette article some years ago, by long time food editor Johnathan L. Wright. https://www.rgj.com/story/life/food/2016/03/24/dynasty-bistro-serves-renos-best-and-biggest-pot-stickers/82198034/ It's a fun read as were most of his writings. But now, I'm finally getting around to coming here, since I don't exactly live in the neighborhood. What prompted me after all these years, is a I have a fried that LOVES potstickers and I remembered the RJG article and this Dynasty China Bistro. So off we go to this part of town I never go to. Inside is a large restaurant and we're the only ones there at this early lunch hour. Menus are given out, but we say we already know what we want ... those famous potstickers! Our server acknowledges that , Yes, they are famous and one of the best selling things they make! They sell hundreds at the farmer's market on weekends he says. The pot stickers are supposedly huge, so we just get one order. Here, one order includes EIGHT dumplings, where most restaurants give you only 6. It's priced at $12.95, so not bad for 8 pieces. The order arrives shortly, holy guacamole! Those ARE huge, way bigger than your average potsticker. All browned perfect om one side, they looked fabulous. Served with house made dipping sauce, we dig in. Well, OK, yes, they are hot, but the skin of the dumpling is quite thick, but it may have to be to hold all that filling in this thing. The filling is good, not off the charts good, but decent and made in house. My friend noticed the doughiness of the dumpling as well, but still liked it enough to order a full order to go and take home. Despite the thick outer skin, they were cooked through properly. Overall, I liked the potstickers well enough, I think the novelty of this huge dumpling was a sight to behold, but my total taste experience was not great enough to make me come running back here. I do think everyone should at least give these a try and see what you think ..... but as the saying goes ... size isn't everything! At least in the case of these potstickers! I'll give 4 stars still.

My favorite Chinese food. Always fresh and tasty. We had the lettuce wraps, House Chow Mien, Sesame Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, and Mongolian Beef. As always, the food was delicious and wonderful. Lettuce wraps was a first for us and they were great. Lettuce was crisp and fresh. The chicken filling was perfectly spiced with a appropriate sauce. Everything else was great, as well. Service is consistently perfect. Friendly and helpful, alway aiming to please. Five Stars tonight.

    Vegetable Egg Roll - 5

We decided to order take out from Dynasty China Bistro because it's so close to our new place. I didn't enjoy the egg rolls too much because they were soggy, but maybe would have tasted better if we'd dine in. The chow mien was my favorite entree, very flavorful. Our order was ready within 15 minutes and when we showed up there wasn't that many people dining in. Staff was nice and felt welcoming.

Does not disappoint! Came here for takeout to bring to work for lunar new year. I got crab rangoons, spring rolls, and the pot stickers. It was all great! The potstickers and bigger and doughier than most, but personally I like it. I know it's hard to screw up crab Rangoons, but these were DELICIOUS I hope to be back soon to try the entrees again. Staff is always so nice as well.

Just had a wonderful dinner. It was super busy with to go orders when we go there, so it took a little bit to be seated. It was worth the wait! The food here is always really hot snd freshly made. We had gourmet dinner A for two. The cashew shrimp was inncredible with the gummiest half fresh mushrooms! Beef with snow peas was great as well!

Took my trainees to a celebratory dinner one night because they got thier CDL license. Portions were great. The pot stickers are amazing. I ordered chow fun. That was great too. We got crab Rangoon to split at the table. My guests got combination plates. We ended up walking out with doggy bags. The owner was very personable. Can't wait to go back again.

The Wok is one of those places, and Sichuan/Chongqing food is one of those things that I'm jealous of people who get to experience it for the first time. Here's how to have an epic time at The Wok: Step 1. Get 4 to 8 people total that aren't afraid to try something a little different and maybe slightly spicy (seriously though it's not actually that spicy). If you need help with this step message me, I'd share a meal with some random people if it's at The Wok. Step 2. Flip to the back page of the menu, and order a few things that sound good to the group. Don't waste your time with the American Chinese menu (even though what I've had off of that menu is actually really good too). Make sure to get a decent mix of stuff like appetizers, veggies, noodle, soup, and meat dishes. Also don't be afraid to order multiple times. This gives you more time with the menu, and you can judge what sounds good in the moment. Step 3. Share the food family style with everyone until you are all full. I think at this point I've eaten everything on the Sichuan menu, and can say that if it sounds good to you, it is! Some of my favorite dishes are: Wontons in Chili oil, Bone in chicken wings, Spicy boiled fish fillet, Beef noodle soup, Green beans, Salt and Pepper tofu, Dan dan noodles, and Mapo Tofu. Finally, Janet (the manager) is amazing, and always willing to give a recommendation.

This time, the dumplings were okay, but I remember them being better during my previous visit. I also recall them serving noodles, which were not available this time. I couldn't help but wonder if they are no longer making the dumplings from scratch, as several reviews suggest they may be using the Mila frozen dumplings available at Costco. I didn't confirm that myself, but it did make me curious. That being said, the dumplings were still decent and definitely hit the spot. The real draw of this place, however, is the outdoor venue they share with Abby's Hwy 40 Bar. It's a very inviting space to enjoy your food, relax, and watch some TV. The World Cup was on during our visit, which made for a fun atmosphere. I'd probably want to confirm whether the dumplings are made in-house before ordering them again, but the outdoor setting alone makes this a pleasant place to stop and spend some time.

Unfortunately, the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun lacked that signature smoky flavor, and the texture was closer to lo fun than traditional chow fun. The Gai Lan with Beef also lacked wok hei. The outer layer of the gai lan stems had been peeled away, so the stems lost the crisp texture that makes gai lan so enjoyable. The Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken was overly tender and quite salty.
