I have bought power products from APD for the last 15 years and have alway had good luck. But…read morefinally after all these years got introduced to Bill the maintenance manager and here is the story. Brought my 2 year old Honda EU2200i generator which was still new in the original box for 2 recalls. Put an hour meter on it and added gas and oil for the first time and ran it for half an hour (.5) it ran perfect the full 30 minutes! I then took it to APD for the recall's after they had it for 10 day's, I got a call from Bill and he said that my brand new generator with (.5) of total run time needed the valves adjusted, fuel system flushed a new fuel filter and the carburetor rebuilt and said it needed the oil change and said they could do all of this for the work for only $275.00 at that point I discussed all of the above details with Bill he said that there's no way that his tech would have suggested all of the above work if it wasn't needed. I again told him the details above about it having oil and gas for the first time and it ran perfect for 30 minutes just to do the recalls only, he got very upset and asked if I was calling him a liar and I reiterated there is no way it could need all of this work done with gas and oil being put in the generator for the first time the day before. Now the most upsetting part of the story after them having my generator another 3 weeks, so 4 weeks total. Got a call from Bill and said to come and pick up my generator that the recall's had been completed, you could tell he was still upset that he didn't up sale me to the tune of $275.00 and now the grand finale I brought the generator home it took 10 pulls to get it started and now it won't idle without the choke on and dies if you put it in eco mode and to add insult to injury when I called Bill back and told him that it won't even idle now, his response was see I told you that it needed the carburetor rebuilt and the valves adjusted and the fuel system cleaned out. This could be the poorest Customer Service I have ever received from a company after spending tens of thousands of dollars with this company over the last 15 years they're willing to lose my business over a $275 up-charge and now they have sabotaged my $1200 Honda EU 2200i generator and he said they would not work on it since they hadn't done any service on it !!!

If I could give this place zero stars for customer service, I would--specifically their tool repair…read moredepartment. Our Festool saw broke down while still under warranty. My husband brought it to Timber Woodworking Machinery under the impression that they could handle the repair process. He was told that the Festool representative comes in on Fridays and that he could leave the saw there (without the box), and the rep would pick it up and send it to Festool for warranty repair. We expected a relatively quick process--maybe two or three weeks. Instead, two months later, we were still calling for updates and receiving no clear answers about when we would get the saw back. No one could even provide a rough estimate. For a company associated with a premium brand like Festool, this level of communication was disappointing. Timber would not provide me with a direct contact number for Festool and continued giving the same vague explanation: that a part was delayed coming from Germany and nobody knew when it would arrive. I eventually found Festool's service ceneter's number myself and began communicating with them directly. After multiple conversations with Festool--one of which became unpleasant enough that it had to be escalated to management--we finally received a call from a Festool customer service manager, Melinda. She informed us that because the repair had taken so long, Festool would be replacing the saw with a brand-new unit. Finally, some good news. Unfortunately, none of that progress came from Timber Woodworking Machinery. We had to advocate for ourselves every step of the way. Less than a week later, Timber called to let us know our replacement saw had arrived. I went to pick it up immediately and was actually prepared to leave them a positive review despite the long delay. However, less than an hour after I got home, I received a call from shop manager Ray Ann claiming there had been a mix-up and asking me to return the Sustainer box and manual because they supposedly belonged to another customer. Seriously? At that point, my confidence in the entire process was gone. After months of poor communication, lack of updates, and confusion surrounding the replacement, this final incident only reinforced my impression that the repair process was poorly managed from start to finish. Festool ultimately resolved the issue by replacing the saw, and I appreciate them standing behind their product. Unfortunately, my experience with Timber Woodworking Machinery's repair department fell far short of the level of service we expected.

When it came my husband got the order he didn't want to make the delivery guy sit around while he count all the pieces. Then we decided we would need to wait for awhile to build because of financial reasons, so a year later we were putting it up and realized we were a pallet short on siding . My husband called them to see if they could see if they could track the pallet. They looked in their system and it was saying it was in the bay still, so they said oh let us go check on that, a few days went by and my husband called them back and they said "sorry it wasn't there ". Our complaint is obviously they didn't bring it, and their system reflected that, and we have zero access to their system so we obviously weren't trying to rip them off in anyway. Why not try to in the least work with us on a discount since both of us played a part . you guys didn't bring it and we waited a long time to count it.
