I recently contacted EA cleaning for what I thoght would be routine duct cleaning. When they arrived they were very professional and started the dryer vent cleaning and they immediately noticed something strange. They asked to go to the crawlspace and noticed that my vent was not up to code and that it was disconnected, which spewed lint all over the crawlspace. They offered to fix it, which I agreed to. They spent a a significant time trying to fix it and even had to replace the dryer connection and down pipe from the wall due to the nature of the joists underneath. Customer Service was above excellent. Julia was very helpful on the phone and explained everything thoroughly and patiently to me as I am slow to understand because of a stroke. In addition, I had to reschedule the appointment due to a medical issue but I accidentally wrote down the wrong date and the technicians came to the house when I wasn't there. Julia was able to reschedule them again for the date I wrote down. However, because there was problem with the electricity in parts of the house, they were unable to do the main work. They tried to do as much as they could including getting the thermostat on the living room wall to start working again by putting brand new batteries in. They looked at the furnace to see if they could turn it on somehow but could not. They even tried to do a dryer duct cleaning but could not. We appreciated their efforts. We had no idea the furnace working was required in the cleaning, and actually didn't realize the furnace was affected by the electricity outage.
