Stopped in for dinner. This place has been around for a long time, but it's been ages since I last visited. We were greeted and seated quickly by the hostess when we entered., it's one large open space with a bar area/dining room, and more seating upstairs. The interior is what you'd expect for a "saloon", with a very strong western feel. That being said though, with the one large open space it gets pretty loud in there, and at that point no one was being seated upstairs, so I imagine when it's full it's going to be hard to carry a conversation. They offer a pretty extensive menu, soups, salads, pizzas, tacos, burgers, seafood and much more. I decided to try the meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, and the veggie of the day, broccoli. Food came out quickly, and the portions were very impressive. The meatloaf was good, but a lot more than I could comfortably finish, so had some to take home. Overall, it was a good dinner, just a bit loud when trying to have a conversation with father who is getting up there in age. Still good food, and would recommend checking out

The food quality has gone downhill since the business was "bought out". Pizza crust seems like Boboli from a grocery store. I've been going here for over 12 years, so this is disappointing. I got a large pizza this time; great job on the extra sauce request and toppings, but the crust is not from hand-made dough, and is surely pre-made store bought.

I've lived in Norfolk my whole life and have eaten at EBS several times since they opened in the early 80's. The food has been good on most occasions, but I can't let this one go without saying something. My daughter put in a take out order last night (9/18/25) and asked if I wanted anything. I had her order me a seafood stuffy for $9.95. A bit pricey I thought, but it sounded good. I know EBS is not necessarily known for seafood, but I figured it would be good based on past experiences. What I received was a "tiny" extremely burnt unacceptable excuse for a restaurant stuffed quahog. Please see the photos. I've had much better frozen stuffies from the supermarket. Shame on the cook for moving this along on a takeout order. I tried but it was not edible. Right in the trash. Dan Howard, 9/19/25

It's a local legend. Best Bar Pizza hands down. Great atmosphere , good vibe, good people. Plenty of tables , tv etc to accommodate friends meeting for a drink or families getting a quick dinner. Carolyn is the best!!!

Well I've eaten at a lot of Greek restaurants here and in Greece and this is one of the best places I've ever been to, to have a good sit down Greek meal. Where I live there are great restaurants for any type of cuisine you can imagine and a great Greek restaurant but the one near me is more like the best fast food in Greece. (A gyro wrap is the most traditional Greek fast food you can get). If people every ask me where to go to try other great Greek dishes, I will tell them to go there, 10 minutes from where I live and and on the eat home come by and drop off their left overs. They accommodated us for a table of 7 and although it can be a bit loud, you can still talk to anyone in your party. But i would recommend getting a reservation so you don't have to rely on luck like we did. The prices might be a little higher than some of your typical sit down restaurants, but worth every penny.

When the server tells you the evening specials you are left to guess how much they are charging for them. Personally, I think you shouldn't have to ask the cost of specials seeing as the menu has prices. We did asked the price of the filet mignon special because the 2 on the menu were a 10oz for $69.95, other filet was 10oz for $71.95. the 10 oz filet mignon special was $99.95 with asparagus on top with a demi glaze & mashed potatoes. So I am guessing the asparagus is the reason for the additional $30.00?? One of the other specials was a whole lobster with the lobster meat and stuffing inside and a side of mashed Unfortunately we did not ask the price of this special. We really didn't think it would be more than the filet. Guess again...bill came and the 2 lobster specials we had ordered were $120.00 EACH. Husbands had chicken dishes, we had total 4 glasses of wine, 1 baileys and 2 desserts. Bill total $450.00 yet this really isn't the main reason I am writing this review. The maitre had come over to our table to ask how our meal was, he never made eye contact with us again and completely ignored us answering his question. He was merely trying to push us along to free up the table. He was rude and arrogant to say the least! Meanwhile after spending $450.00 for what was really just an average dinner this is how the patrons are treated. No thank you. We will stick to Mia Regazza in Abington or Marshfield or Alma Nova in Hingham to just mention a few. Funny "Average J" review below he says "Oh, and the white haired maître D guy needs a new white sport coat- looks like the buttons are about to pop off. He is right about that. My husband had the same comment.

I had no idea they do buck-a-shuck oysters on Sundays during football season. If I'd known earlier, I definitely would've been here all season long! We grabbed a dozen and they were fresh, cold, and delicious. Our server, Karen, was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. She convinced me to try the beef vegetable soup, and I'm so glad she did. She mentioned that the beef comes from the ends of their filet mignon -- and honestly, it was the best beef vegetable soup I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and she even split it into two cups since we were sharing. Such a thoughtful touch! Before we left, my boyfriend wanted to gamble a bit, so I planned to take another glass of wine onto the casino floor. I told Karen I wanted to try something different, and she surprised me with a mini wine tasting of three options. I ended up choosing a wine I never would've tried on my own -- and loved it. Karen truly made the experience special. Stellar service, great food, and awesome vibes. We will definitely be back!

It came with a complimentary PILE of thin pickle slices and pickled onions and they threw in a cornbread with a honey butter. The rub on the ribs was delicious in it's own right, and both barbeque sauces were a joy. There was a more traditional zingy barbeque sauce and a sweeter one. The pickles made me very very happy. The corn bread and butter was honestly the star though - I was so surprised. Corn bread is not an automatic favorite for me, by any means. We ordered at the take away counter, but we ate in and were given full table service. Once we got past our confusion regarding the table service it was very pleasant. The eating area was cute. I love the cow wall paper (and the chicken wallpaper in the bathroom) But the bench seating was a little weird and a little too high for the table. There was a TV on showing the game, but it wasn't super loud. We felt like the food was worth the price. Check the patriots schedule before you go - it gets caught in game day traffic. Now Blondie have done a great job updating and improving the restaurant, dining areas, and turned the location into a welcoming BBQ restaurant. I have been wanting to stop in to try as I eat at all the bbq spots . I order ala carte a sausage, the smoked wings, small order of ribs, a side of shells and cheese. The ribs were very good and meaty and fall ofc the bone tender. The wings had a nice smoke flavor and heavy dry rub seasoning. found the dry rub a bit too much for me and wax more Texan or Kansas city style vs Carolina or Georgia style . A bit dry but with a dip in bbq sauce, they were good. The sausage was dry and expected more juice dripping out . The shells and cheese was very good with the shells cooked perfect, cheese and the toast crunch season on top was a plus. They offer free cold water which is courteous as I want in mood lunchtime for a Texas state beer. The girl at the counter taking my order was especially helpful guiding me how to order and checked on me twice to see how all was after I was served. I think this is a nice addition to the area and a real deal barbecue spot smoking the meat real deal. I'd like to see more options or specials ...burnt ends , a corn on cob summer option, cucumber salad or other sides, a honey biscuit or real deal cornbread with smoked corn kernels in the mix, A smoke biscuit and grilled shrimp tacos ? A 1/2 pound burger or smoked chicken sandwich... I figure the owner will keep figuring out what's popular as location draws alot of working types wanting a reasonable take out lunch to eat on the run in their truck and dinner crowds move local families in Foxboro for bbq feast. I'll stop in again to try the brisket or other items . Good to see a new restaurant there succeeding .
