Stopped in for dinner. This place has been around for a long time, but it's been ages since I last visited. We were greeted and seated quickly by the hostess when we entered., it's one large open space with a bar area/dining room, and more seating upstairs. The interior is what you'd expect for a "saloon", with a very strong western feel. That being said though, with the one large open space it gets pretty loud in there, and at that point no one was being seated upstairs, so I imagine when it's full it's going to be hard to carry a conversation. They offer a pretty extensive menu, soups, salads, pizzas, tacos, burgers, seafood and much more. I decided to try the meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, and the veggie of the day, broccoli. Food came out quickly, and the portions were very impressive. The meatloaf was good, but a lot more than I could comfortably finish, so had some to take home. Overall, it was a good dinner, just a bit loud when trying to have a conversation with father who is getting up there in age. Still good food, and would recommend checking out

The food quality has gone downhill since the business was "bought out". Pizza crust seems like Boboli from a grocery store. I've been going here for over 12 years, so this is disappointing. I got a large pizza this time; great job on the extra sauce request and toppings, but the crust is not from hand-made dough, and is surely pre-made store bought.

I've lived in Norfolk my whole life and have eaten at EBS several times since they opened in the early 80's. The food has been good on most occasions, but I can't let this one go without saying something. My daughter put in a take out order last night (9/18/25) and asked if I wanted anything. I had her order me a seafood stuffy for $9.95. A bit pricey I thought, but it sounded good. I know EBS is not necessarily known for seafood, but I figured it would be good based on past experiences. What I received was a "tiny" extremely burnt unacceptable excuse for a restaurant stuffed quahog. Please see the photos. I've had much better frozen stuffies from the supermarket. Shame on the cook for moving this along on a takeout order. I tried but it was not edible. Right in the trash. Dan Howard, 9/19/25

It's a local legend. Best Bar Pizza hands down. Great atmosphere , good vibe, good people. Plenty of tables , tv etc to accommodate friends meeting for a drink or families getting a quick dinner. Carolyn is the best!!!

We stumbled across Blondie's Barbecue almost by accident. We were headed to shop at Patriot Place,…read moredrove by, saw a parking lot FULL of cars, and thought, "Okay, this place must be good." And I have to say--this is easily the best barbecue I've had outside of North Carolina. We're a family of four with two pretty picky kids, so the fact that everyone loved their food says a lot. We ordered the ribs, pulled pork, brisket sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, and party wings. My daughter ate the ENTIRE fried chicken sandwich. My son ate his ribs down to the bone. My husband loved every bite of his brisket. That alone tells you how dinner went. The meat was the star. Everything was incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone, the rub on the meats was spot-on, and everything came out warm and juicy without being dry. The sides were solid--not necessarily the highlight, but still better than what I've had at a lot of barbecue places. We tried the beans (my favorite of the sides), collards, coleslaw, and fries. They also serve a little cucumber, onion, and pickle mixture on the side that was a nice touch. And the barbecue sauce? Excellent. We came in completely on a whim and left thoroughly impressed. When a barbecue place can make the adults happy AND get two picky kids to clean their plates, they're doing something right. We'll absolutely be back.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by a couple of chipper teenage hostesses and we were even able to pick our table. Our server seemed a little off at first but he warmed up after a little banter; perhaps he was just feeling us out. Beer menu was great but did not necessarily contain anything rare. I had a foam ipa and a stout from dorchester brewing to follow. I had the smash burger. It seemed like a true smash as it was crispy on the outside and had the right amount of grease. The house made chips were a nice addition as I'm not a huge French fry fan. My wife had the fig and prosciutto flatbread and she liked it. The fig paste was tasty, arugula was fresh and there was even some cheese pull. Overall, it was a nice visit and I wouldn't hesitate to go back based on how this visit went.

Even for a weekend, it wasn't overly crowded and we were seated right away. The atmosphere is super chill--great vibe for kicking back and watching whatever games are on the screens. I tried the alcohol-free Berry Mule. Although it didn't come served in a traditional copper mule cup, it was still super refreshing and delicious! We also split the nachos; they were good, though next time we'll definitely add chicken or beef to take them to the next level. The absolute star of the show, however, was the Chicken & Burrata Sandwich. It was to die for! The fig jam paired ridiculously well with the savory chicken and creamy cheese, and the sweet potato fries on the side were cooked to perfection. Excellent spot for a chill lunch with friends or coworkers. Will definitely be coming back!

I had the 8 ounce sirloin which you could cut with the fork. It was cooked perfect and everything came out hot and fresh just like I wanted these otherwise I would've sent it right back cause I like my food to burn in my mouth. They also have for a couple dollars more you could get a filet mignon with special butter on top for $24. Everything came with a soup or a salad. It also came with a pasta or potatoes so starch and a vegetable or instead of the vegetable the day which was a carrot and green bean mix you could also get instead you get coleslaw. I got the coleslaw. It didn't really have a mayonnaise type dressing on it so that was a different kind of taste and it wasn't very cold so I kinda was concerned about that so I only had one bite. But the baked potato that I got was scolding hot. The butter melted right away in it, which is to me as a perfect potato came with sour cream. The steak like I said was tenders could be cooked exactly the way I like it you could cut it with a fork even though I had a steak knife. My partner had the veal Parmesan, which was a very large piece she can see from the pictures with he substituted Angel hair pasta for ziti. I think he should've stuck with a Z because Angel hair was just cooked too much. I was kind of soft like really soft like al dente. But the server was wonderful. She was very friendly. Kurdish came over as each person came in and offered to guess all drinks or a cocktail or something. She was just very involve which was wonderful. Then when it came time for dessert, we had a choice was great and not pudding or ice cream. We got ice cream with the choice of vanilla chocolate or Oreo cookie. I get vanilla the other half Oreo cookie. I did ask if we could get chocolate on it chocolate syrup there wasn't enough charge of a dollar for the hot fudge. It wasn't much so I just split it with my other half cause I didn't want to pay the app charged for two of us. I had a cocktail it was very very good. I don't remember it now, but it had like makers, mark bourbon and stuff and cherries. I didn't know how expensive it was until the bill came cause I didn't realize it wasn't priced on the menu but that's OK. I will learn and not get it again. I felt the bill was kind of high for what we had. We were gonna go out the next site to celebrate our anniversary, but with the price that we paid for dinner that first night on Tuesday we didn't really have enough in a bunch left to go out the next day. Our bill for this was $75 for the two of us. I know that's probably the average price now for going out to dinner, but I just thought that was a little high, but I didn't expect it to be really that much but we had a set price for dinner. But it's all brand new now. The insides all changed over. It's a little bit of dark wood, but I think like a cherry finish it kinda looks like they have a separate area completely from the bar to the restaurant. It isn't blocked off completely but it's made so you really have a separation there and we had gotten the function room in the back which seated with our party was 27. But I think you'll easily fit in 50 people in that back room. We've already decided when we go back. He wants to go back and try the burger but if we do that, we'll probably just get the one sandwich just to see if it's more reasonable period for us but it was wonderful. I really had a good time.

Hard to believe since I was standing next to her the whole time and another couple had to point out that we were before them. We got sat at a table in the bar and served by Brian, one of the owners. Very nice guy, very accommodating. We were quickly served with water and warm rolls. The rolls were very good. Drinks were brought out very quickly, but waited over 30 minutes for our dinner. I ordered the salmon, which I often do. The entrée came with a choice of sides, so I chose the rice pilaf and the green beans. Everything was terrific. The salmon was big, the rice pilaf was quite good, and the beans were terrific. We will definitely be back. Hopefully they'll address their hostess position by then.
