Its been years since I'd been here and I couldn't remember my last experience so I had an open mind. As someone with 20+ years experience in the food industry I'm quick to notice some things others might not. First thing that turned me off was our waitress used the ends of her sleeves to hold a hot plate while bringing it to the table. Not to mention it was a hoodie. Not sanitary. She should have grabbed a few napkins to hold the plate. People sometimes use their sleeves to wipe their faces. You don't want them using that to hold your plate your about to eat off of. I ordered the streak, cilantro & mozz quesadillas. I asked for some extra cilantro on the side because when they arrived it didn't seem like there was any in them. The extra cilantro that arrived looked like unfresh bits and stems from the bottom of the cilantro container. I didn't eat it. The Pico salsa looked like it was prepped at least a week ago and had filled with liquid from the veggies. It was definitely not fresh. I didn't eat that either. I ate the quesadillas but the steak was overdone and it was flavorless and dry. Also the guac was not fresh either it was clearly out of a package. If you going to serve those types of things they need to be fresh. Any food for that matter needs to be dated and thrown away once its no longer fresh. Food also arrived to the table that wasn't hot. I tasted the chilli and that was great. I wished I'd ordered that. Once thing I also noticed is we sat upstairs and the carpet up there looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time. Grossed me out. I always notice things like that because I believe it tells you what the kitchen might look like. Scary. Overall I'm not going to volunteer to go back here. Can't say I ever will. There's definitely things that need attention. Hopefully their addressed. read more

Who doesn't love the Eagle Brook Saloon. It is like eating in a friend's house. Great appetizers sandwiches and burgers. The pizza is fantastic. They have a very good selection. The service is always friendly and efficient. read more

Not impressed. I had high hopes after hearing good things, but overall it was not a great experience. The wings weren't terrible, but they were cold. I got a chicken caesar wrap and it was okay, but there was hardly any chicken. Probably won't go back! read more

Eagle Brook Saloon is a good local watering hole. They have a somewhat limited draft beer selection, but what they have is good, especially their own craft beers. The food is good with a good range of prices and offerings from pizza and burgers to beef stew in bread bowls, chili, and full dinners. One really nice feature is they have a small private dining room upstairs if you and your guests want a private room to yourself. They also have sports on TV for watching if you are a fan. read more

Good local pub, nothing fancy. The pizza is great and there are plenty of options, burgers are fine, and the apps are good. I haven't tried any of the entrees because that's not typically what I'd go to a local pub for. They also have a great beer selection including some home-brews. I like the blueberry ale. If you're looking for a good, no frills, local place to watch a game and have some beers then this is a great place for you. read more

Great place! Beers are good - Patriot IPA is my favorite. Love the pizza special Mon-Thurs. Everything I have eaten there has been great - wrap, chili, quesadilla, fried clams, pizza. Definitely prefer downstairs to upstairs; better service. Can be very crowded on Friday nights, wait isn't usually longer than 25 minutes though. read more

The food here is terrible. I had the world's most overcooked fried clams here. I've also had a few other inedible dishes as well. This place becomes quite the zoo for the young, single crowd on weekends. For what reason is beyond me. The only time I go here is when I am literally dragged with friends. read more

Oh my God what planet are all you people from? I live right down the street from this place and would love nothing more that for it to be what most reviewers think it is. Microbrews. Big place with ample parking. Pub food. Ah what a great opportunity for a really special place. I woul;d be there every night! But alas, this place sucks! Beer is mediocre at best. The food is terrible. I mean how can you possibly screw up a burger? My 5 year old even recognized what a terrible burger it was and asked if we could go to 5 Guys instead. I've been here 15-20 times over the last few years while living in Walpole and Franklin. The pizza is all great and there sandwiches/salads are top notch too. Great local beer selection on top of it makes it a great place to keep going back to. This is a very family friendly place which adds some fun to the place. read more

I enjoyed my first time at Eagle Brook Saloon & will be bringing my husband & other friends to try it out sometime. The overall feel of the restaurant is very damp & western, if that makes any sense. The place was hoppin' & I guess the saloon is a big drinking spot for locals, according to one of the ladies in my party who used to go here alot before she was married. The loaded nachos were good and many different kinds of beer & signature cocktails to be had...however, I'm all over anyplace that sells blueberry lager. Three different types of pizza for our table, all were delicious and much to take home. I asked for a side of their mystery spicey sauce (to dab on my chicken pizza) which I saw was served with another entree...it is soooo spicey hott & soooo good! Better believe I brought it home with me and boy, does that stuff give my chicken salad sandwiches an extra kick...I don't ever want to run out! read more

Great beer selection, not much else pretty much sums this place up. Their beers are truly amazing, but the food and the service leave a lot to be desired. It is usually packed on weekend or game nights, which is unfortunate, because they prices are reasonable enough that I think I would have gone here a lot more when I lived in the area had it been easier to secure a seat. All in all, its a great place to have in Norfolk, and fabulous to grab a beer and a burger. Norfolk and the surrounding areas have little to offer in the way of cuisine, so anything halfway decent is a good thing. I can't say I've ever missed Eagle Brook, however, since I moved to RI about two years ago, so maybe that says it all... read more

Went here on a Thursday night for dinner around 8pm after hearing my fiancé talk about this place for over a year. The parking lot was packed, so we were expecting to have to wait for a table. But when we went inside, it was busy, but not so busy that there weren't any tables available. However, the hostess took at least 10 minutes trying to figure out where to seat us, even though there were obvious tables open. We were then placed in a corner table by the window - no big deal. Wait staff was friendly, but slow, even on a night where it wasn't slammed, so I can't imagine how it is on a busy weekend night. Food was good, but not exceptional. I would probably come back here for some drinks and appetizers, but not for a sit down meal. Cute décor. read more

Sadly this restaurant is not the place I fondly recalled visiting when my family lived close by about 20 years ago. We made a point of going back for dinner on a hot summer night during our vacation in light of all the great memories we had back in the day when I was a kid. On a recent visit, I'll mention the "highlights" that merit 1 star. 1) Service - Although kind of busy downstairs, we were brought upstairs where it was somewhat dead. We waited for a while before someone took our drink order and then nothing happened except another long wait. We observed the person who took the drink order sitting by herself at a table looking at her cell phone while we waited. At the same time, we noticed another waitress sitting nearby with a family and just assumed she was taking a break with people she knew. Not knowing what the deal was with the first person who took our drink order, we kept looking over at her, hoping she'd redeem herself by doing her job. I guess our stares caught the attention of the second waitress sitting with the family and she was the one who came over to take our meal order instead of the first person. She was pleasant and responsive so we kinda blew off the long wait and went with it. 2) Cleanliness - Although we didn't expect the Four Seasons, we hoped that at least the table would be clean and not sticky gross. It also would have helped if the the decor would have been cleaned sometime this century. Again fond memories of the old days kept us seated hoping it was just the ambience of a typical blue-collar restaurant, so we cleaned the table ourselves with little wipies I had in my purse for my baby. 3) Food - We hoped that the food we remembered so fondly would redeem the inconvenience of the other two issues described because sometimes even dives have great food. Sadly that was not the case here. Unfortunately, ALL of our food was so inedible that even a member of our party that we love to tease for eating anything (and I mean anything) refused to eat his meal. I know you'll think we should have given feedback or complained at the time but we were on vacation and just didn't want to deal with the negativity or haggle about the bill. So we paid for food we hated and left without saying a word. However, after vacation was over, it continued to bother me enough to write this review. I'm actually bummed this place has tanked so much over the years because it holds many fond memories for me as a young kid visiting with my family. read more

Eagle Brook is by far one of my favorite restaurants! They have really great prices and the food is very good as well. Also, their beer is amazing! They have a HUGE selection, my favorite being the Blueberry Ale, which is served with blueberries on the bottom of the mug that float up and down and give a stronger blueberry flavor! I have had many different dishes here and have never complained. Their salads are all huge, their salmon is always cooked perfectly as well as the steak tips, and they have delicious fries! They always have a huge selection of specials which is nice if you want to switch it up. My mom always gets the Dalton Dip, which is a roast beef sandwich served with gravy and fries. On top of all of that, they have great pub style pizzas! They are always cooked to perfection and have so many types! I highly, highly, highly recommend Eagle Brook!! read more

Unfortunately, this restaurant is still running on its past reputation. For the younger beer drinking crowd, this seems to be a good fit. For seniors, this is a definite miss! A friend from out of town likes the fried clams here (I won't touch them...yuch...)so we go occasionally but no matter what I order when we go, I am disappointed. I believe the emphasis is more on the bar scene but the food is less than good. Lots of types of beer, noisy (we go at lunch time) sports TV in bar, music a bit too loud and food that is nothing special (!), I find this place a definite PASS. I hope next time my friend comes to visit, we can try someplace else! Oh, buy one get one pizza on Sunday-Thursdays...not a bad deal and pizza is decent..not an extensive menu. Interesting, historic surroundings but I don't pay for the decor. Leave this place for the younger crowd. read more

I've been here a bunch of times and can't say I've ever had a bad meal. The only gripe I have is that it's a bit pricy. I usually run with the burgers around $11 and have an app. entrees were in the $16 to $21 range. Service is always good, get there early on the weekend because it always seems to be packed!!! read more

I'll give it a 3 stars because the bartender was great. But I ordered the " shrimp cocktail with avocado appetizer as my meal. $10. So I figured it would have a few shrimp. There was 1 shrimp on the plate and not even a "jumbo" one. My husbands burger was good. But geez at least write it on the menu that it comes with only 1 shrimp! read more

Stick with the takeout to enjoy this meal, or ask for a waitress with a smile. We went there for our second time last week after we had great pizza there last month. The workers must really hate there job, the hostess couldn't have put on a smile if she bought one. The waitress had no personality and was nowhere to be found when anything was needed. She never asked us how the meal was and her parting words were "you guys all done". Anyways pizza is incredible, I reccomend the Smokehouse w/ chicken, gouda, carmelized onions, and bbq sauce. Excellent beer selection, you go here for the beer! The interior is amazing as well, parts of an old fashioned saloon have been disassembled and re-assembled inside. Service is generally good and food is good to great most of the time but can be so-so...probably depends on who they have cooking. did I mention the amazing beer selection?? This, and the atmosphere is why you go. tons of kids running around on fri/sat dinner time, it can get busy at peak hours. definitely worth a visit for all but the most stuck up city folk. moderate prices, better than eating at patriot place and right up the street!! read more

I've been to this restaurant before with a large group and had good food. However, I went back to it again with a smaller party and got completely ignored. There was a small wait when I got there; however I was told it would only be ten minutes. I went back twice during the 45 minutes I was waiting and asked if I could just sit at one of the open tables by the bar. After being told that we were next on the list then seeing a group of six walk in and get seated immediately, me and my guest decided that they didn't want our money so we left and went someplace else. read more

The bar appears to serve local "regular" patrons after last call yet will not serve visiting patrons. We are up here visiting from Texas, I stopped in at 11:45p to pick up my wife after a night out with friends. The group of ladies was almost ready to leave, but not quite. As their goodbye conversations kept going, I went to the bar to get my second and final Coors Light. The bar maid had just opened a Bud Light for the guy next me and when I questioned it, I told last call had already happened. The bar maid (older with bleach blond hair) then became very agitated and aggressive that I would dare question what I just observed. I asked some pointed questions and questioned the validity of it to the point where she made a bid scene about kicking me out. It was really pretty absurd. I felt a little like the guy that was kicked off the Southwest Flight for tweeting about his poor customer service experience at the Denver airport (just google Duff Watson Southwest Airlines). Ambiance is nice if you like casual cowboy pub style. Beer selection is excellent and service is generally average on a good day but can be pretty bad at times too. The food is awful. The pasta dishes are mushy, overlooked and over sauced. Wings are weak; they're dry and not sauced properly (how does a place like this not make perfect wings?) Fried clams have way too much batter on them so you can barely find the clams, which are whole belly however (they might as well be strips given how much batter they have on them though). The Tuna Melt we had this weekend was cold. The fish tacos were... I don't really know how to describe them but they sure weren't fish tacos. It was more like a mushy fried fish grilled in some sort of wrap. The waitress noticed I didn't finish it nor did it want to take it to go. She asked how I liked it & I told her not very much. She said she was surprised because everyone is ordering it but when I asked her if people liked it she said that she has received several "suggestions" from patrons to make it better. Pizza is ok for kids but otherwise blah. It's unfortunate because a place like this should have better food. read more
