My friend found their shop online, saw they have legit brake fluid reservoirs, and realized it was fairly local to us, so we rode out. Their shop/warehouse is legit. I cant remember the guys name who was working when we went, but he was extremely friendly and helpful, gave us a small tour of the place, and told the background story of On-Point. We got the reservoir, hung out for a bit and talked, then got ready to leave. As we were getting ready outside, the owner Kia just so happened to be walking up. He introduced himself and talked to us for a bit. Definitely a friendly guy as well.. With all this said and done, their service was awesome and their stunt cages are top notch. I wont even go into details about their unique cages (google it). But take my word, the guys at On-Point are experienced, knowledgeable, and they manufacture and sell high quality cages. I hear custom clip on bars are in the making right now too - so I am excited to see how that turns out.

They are professional, extremely talented and skilled, and responsive. Lots of shops do air ride, no doubt. CVO Softail deluxes are unique and difficult due to the ABS module that is hidden in the front headlight shroud that would normally accommodate the usual valves or relays. Dirtbags installed a whole new system and doubled the normal PSI to optimize the fast-up component and train horn integration. Can't wait to have Dirtbags upgrade my CVO Road Glide next year! Plan ahead and schedule your bike now for the upgrades you want to ride with this coming summer. Well worth every dollar.

I have other options where I live now, but I will always come back to Born Free Cycles. Alex and Kari Lopez, along with their amazing crew, always takes care of their customers. Harley's are not cheap to service, maintain or customize, but the folks at Born Free Cycles won't rip you off. In my opinion they are the best independent Harley Davidson service garages. This is based on years of experience with them vs. dealerships and other independent shops. When people ask me for a recommended Harley garage, or they have just had another bad experience at their dealership or independent, I always refer them to Born Free Cycles. Hands down.

Real life scenario, I asked…read morefor our custom cables to be made with the adjuster set in the middle position - allowing the outer sheath to be made longer or shorter accordingly. 3 people stand there telling me this is not possible, it can't be done, what's the point, it's too specific. It's really not a wild concept to comprehend. It would be nice to be able to adjust the cable longer or shorter as necessary. I left a sample set of cables with notes with them for 2 weeks before being asked to return to go over the notes. They know I'm not close by and I want 10 sets of cables so I make the drive. I'm confronted by 3 of the genuinely most dumb people I've encountered in LA. They're in the business of making and selling custom cables and they can't comprehend that the cables need to be a specific length. In the past I've sent my assistant to avoid them but he refuses to go back, an associate and a friend warned me about them before going and I've been extra patient accordingly - it's the only cable manufacturer I can drive to, albeit a 40 minute journey. This is my 4th time there and it's just unbearable. I cannot urge you enough not to waste your time. There are other options for custom cable manufacturers. This place is not the answer.

He's taken care of all of the preventative maintenance and all of my off script requests. Not only on my Zero...but also on my Indian... He's got top notch skill and cares about the details. I've known Tyler from Hollywood Electrics days and followed him to two other locations to work on…read moremy bike. In the last couple of months, the battery cells on my Zero motorcycle became too unbalanced and Tyler said he had a healthy (used) battery he was looking to sell. The front wheel of my Zero had also been making noises, so I refrained from riding it for several months while I proactively saved pennies on the dollar to afford to replace the battery and fix the front wheel. I do not own any other vehicle except this motorcycle. I finally took it in to Tyler and explicitly told him to look at the front wheel. He said it was "probably just age". I paid $400 up front so he could buy a part to retrofit the used battery to my bike model and an additional $2300 for the battery & labor. While picking up the bike, he made no mention of the front wheel. Exactly two weeks later with minimal rides, the front wheel gave out while on the freeway. Turns out the bearings needed to be replaced and had Tyler looked closely at the front wheel instead of just a standard test ride (which would have been done regardless), the problem would have been resolved before it got worse. In fact, he tried to justify his expertise by stating that I had only requested a bearings replacement on the rear wheel several months before. The front wheel got severely damaged from worn out bearings and front wheels are not available except on the used market. Luckily I did not get hurt. I'm out $2700 and my bike is effectively only good for parts or the scrapyard. While Tyler had allowed my bike to stay at his shop awaiting a potential replacement wheel, he would have charged $200 to transport it back to me, in addition to the $160 I paid AAA to tow it to him, so I'd be out an additional $360, over $3000 total. I trusted Tyler's expertise and now I have no motorcycle. He's been reliable in the past but this negligence & lack of properly diagnosing the issue was not only disappointing but he has shown zero accountability and would not recommend him or Motor Werks.

I had a bad run in with a shop i had taken my last two bikes, now thinking back it may have been why they had some problems...anyways I was recommended this spot by a fellow biker..said Mr. G will take care of you. No other selling point, none of this-he will do it for half price. A simple, he will take care of you. From the first contact I can tell Mr G was professional and also passionate about his work I just got the vibe. Initially I got quoted, thought it was a like high (not because of him but because I was getting tires) and thought I could save a few Pennies getting it done closer to home. Well after thinking about how helpful Mr G was when I asked him a million questions...i decided to take my bike to him instead of saving $100 bucks. He deserved the business this time and after this visit, he deserves all future business. He is great at communicating, fair and honest, but more importantly-you can tell he loves what he does. Very personable guy. Bring your bike here even if it is a distance.
