Though he did explain that our 22 year old unit was likely reaching the end of its service life. These guys are very straight shooters in an industry with some sketchy common practices. The tech also asked for cash, which felt odd. When I pushed back on the diagnostic credit, the numbers didn't add up. To their credit, the company responded and offered a $50-60 credit, but given three other companies quoted the same repair at $450-$650 all-in, it's hard not to feel overcharged. Decent communication, but the pricing transparency needs serious work.

Daniel installed the double sided heater only to find out that the home worked better with single side due to the circulation system. (There was no circulation) Anyway after 3 attempts and resets with the double sided heater, Daniel agreed to re-install a single side system and new thermostat. However, I do think that reviews written a few years after the fact are more informative of the durability of product or service than reviews written as soon as the service or product is recieved. SO: Oscar, or Copa Heating & Cooling, did a fine job not only repairing my old fashioned gas floor heater, but also putting in a thermostat so I can control the temperature and not have to keep turning it on and off by hand. Oscar answered all of my questions before hand and he and his co-worker were very nice and polite. Oscar told me he had 17 years of experience with a few different companies before working for himself. There have been no problems at all with the heater since he fixed it and installed the thermostat.
