Late night, this was one of the only spots still open. It looked like a cute place with a solid menu, so we decided to give it a try since we were starving. We were seated right away, and the servers were very kind and attentive throughout the whole visit. Our drinks, salad, and appetizer all came out quickly and with perfect timing before the main course arrived. We both ordered the meatloaf. We were expecting more of a tomato-based style, but it actually came with gravy -- and honestly, it was really delicious. Very warm environment and great service. Food was ok. Coffee was good. We were there Tuesday morning and enjoyed our meal. Our omelet was decent. Respectable 3 1/2 stars! Ain't gonna lie - every time I come to the Rampart Casino, I have the weird urge to eat a turkey meal. I think it's because of all the senior citizens I encounter at the casino LOL! But I finally did it, I got the Turkey Platter ($17.99) at the Earl Grey Cafe! And I actually got it on our last 2 visits there before an evening of slot playing! For the price of admission you get a pretty healthy portion of a meal: -Choice of salad or soup (went with salad & blue cheese dressing) -Warm dinner rolls with butter -Roasted turkey breast over white bread -Red smashed potatoes -Seasonal vegetables (surprisingly well done) -Side of cranberry sauce -Home-style turkey gravy Was glad to see nearly everything came drenched in that turkey gravy! And it was fairly flavorful too! The turkey breast itself was tasty, it may have actually been brined beforehand because it was definitely moist and easy to cut! Red smashed potatoes were nice too, along with the seasonal veggies that weren't overcooked or mushy! It was a very nice platter! My only gripe was I wish the turkey was with some actual stuffing instead of just a few slices of plain white bread. Would have made for better eye appeal as well as taste. But overall a good entree! Prompt service for a single diner plus I seemed to had arrived before a big rush. Started off with coffee and an ice water. Beverages came out quickly. A few minutes later, the server came by to take my food order. I ordered the omelet special. Dine in ambiance... Noisy, more people gabbing and talking loud especially the table adjacent to mine. Ugh... I'm definitely not awake yet... Faux pas on my part, they serve Cholula, not Tapatio, lol. The server politely corrected me. I also burned my tongue after he poured me a fresh cup of black coffee and left the carafe on the table. Hello, coffee is hot! Haha. I took my time eating the Early Riser Breakfast Special Anthem (2 egg omelette+ 2 toppings, add coffee (+$2.99). I wish I had the option not to have the breakfast potatoes deep fried, trying to avoid fried foods. The omelette also included 2 slices of toast of choice. Juan, my server was friendly and efficient. Located in the Rampart casino complex, past the buffet restaurant. Multiple tables and booths available, accessible by wheelchairs and strollers. Glass partitions separate the rest from the casino floor, keeping the area pretty quiet. Good value for kids waffle: has one whole waffle quartered plus eggs (got scrambled). Corned beef hash breakfast came with toast, hash browns or home style potatoes plus 3 eggs your way. The best part of this plate honestly was the wheat toast and butter. The corned beef was fried too much to a crisp. French toast was six triangle halves with a lot of powdered sugar, we got these plain. Got the same thing next day as takeout which had an added extra charge. I was happy with the service from Elizabeth, Ceci and Juan. Very negative experience with hostess, who lead us to table in area near entrance to dining area - we asked for a table near slot room windows (there were 4 empty tables), hostess said they were NOT seating in that area. Not the best qualitty of the food, but the portion size is huge. If you're playing and you need a place for a quick bite, Earl is your place. The staff here is SUPER slow with the service and, sort of, forgetful too. But, it's sort of understandable because the waiter / waitress are on the older side. There is a late night specials menu of 4 items at $5.99 (with your players card) which includes: cheeseburger with fries, quesadilla, and two breakfast items. Our niece ordered chicken noodle soup which was decent. The rest of us ordered burgers and a breakfast. Note: you cannot add anything to the $5.99 cheeseburger but you can choose your cheese. Our nephew wanted bacon, mushrooms and a fried egg on his burger so he had the regular one on the menu ($11.99) and it comes with two toppings. Each additional topping is about $1. The best part was when our server asked my son how he'd like his bacon... Regular or extra crispy. It arrived extra crispy as requested! Score! My encounter was horrible last night! I went in after a night of gambling to grab food to take home to my Husband. I was ordering my food when another worker came up, stopped the lady that was takin my order, mid-way and started chatting with her as if I wasn't even there. Did not excuse herself or apologize or anything! They both kept talking and finally I walked out! As I was leaving, another guess seen what happened and said:;"Go back, we spend too much money here!"... I came back and Linda,(the one who was taking my order act as though they did nothing wrong. I should have kept walking, because the food I got was despicable! Maria, which was the other employee brought my order out. I ordered here before. I've had much better service than what I received last night. This is very disappointing to say the least. I took pictures of this! I ordered this before. No one should get food served this way! Now I grew up on Kellogg's Pop-Tarts, SpaghettiOs, Meatloaf, Chicken Pot Pie, Beef Pot Roast, Chicken Alfredo, Mashed Potatoes, Canned Sardines, Betty Crocker, and Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. But another unlikely favorite of mine's, is the Beef Stroganoff. It's Beef, and Pasta Egg Noodles, served with a Gravy, sautéed Mushroom, and what makes this slightly different than all the other Pastas, is it has some Sour Cream in it, it gives it that Zing. Since I'm out here, I wanted to jump on the opportunity to get some Stroganoff, and I finally got it. This is perfect on a Cold Winter's day, like today. Exactly, what I needed in my life right now. This is a 3 Course meal. I went with a Tomato Basil Soup. The Soup was warm, bright, and comforting. All I can say is wow, the Beef Stroganoff was done very well, it was delicious. I enjoy, having Apple Cobbler for dessert. The Cobbler was delectable, out of this world. And yeah, that's a Cup of Mountain Dew. This 24 hour coffee shop is located in the JW Marriott Rampart. My friend who lives in Las Vegas join me for breakfast and she wanted to make a take out order on their Special menu. First of all let me preface by saying that it was Mother's Day so we knew service would probably be slower. That said we have been here many times for breakfast/lunch and it was good. We went for a more upscale Mother's Day. We sat down in about 15 minutes so off to a good start, right? NO! It took 20 for someone to come around just for our drink order and another fifteen to get our drinks. The waitress showed up as they took our drink order and took our food order. We ordered just regular food, nothing special. Including 2 strawberry banana smoothies. They didn't even bring our smoothies for another 20 minutes and what they brought was disgusting. Not a smoothie but just some weird tasting concoction without any yogurt in it. I asked for the manager and said to please take them off our tab which they did. But the waitress tells us it's just from a carton from Costco. I've seen it at Costco and it's $5.99 per carton. Guess what they were charging for A glass? $12.99! I don't know about anyone else but if I'm charged a PREMIUM price for a product I expect premium ingredients. Just me. The food was average at best. The waitress was good. After all it WAS busy. But from the time we sat down until we got our food was 1 hour and 20 minutes! I expected better but I guess that's my fault. read more

I have mixed opinions about this café. It is located within Rampart casino and has beautiful decor. I got the feeling this was not the place to work seems like the employees don't like their-job. My waitress was friendly though. I ordered the pork chops. My waitress told me they were thin cut, but she had not tried them. The pork chops were cooked OK, they just it needed seasoning more than just a topping of garlic butte. It's like there's a recipe card and someone told the cook to just make it without tasting it . Any type seasoning would make a world of difference. I was disappointed because I had not been told about the rib special after I ordered them. I can see rib plates coming out. At the register, I was told it was the patrons favorite, I did get a chance to see chicken tenders and burgers that looked so good. The crowd seems to be well over 60 years old. I was able to see more orders and bowls of soup was a popular choice than anything so I got the feeling. This was a place for comfortFood.. since I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Is this an amazing culinary delight of a restaurant, no, but is it affordable and good enough for a quick late night meal, breakfast or lunch, absolutely . Nothing fancy, nothing spectacular but if you want a break from the costs of the current miserable inflation that plagues us all, then eat here. Also as a bonus to an affordable meal, the servers were all very friendly and attentive. For breakfast tried a custom omelette (not pictured) and kids silver dollar pancakes (not pictured). The meals were just fine and did the trick. We Came back for a cheap dinner, tried the turkey platter and kids chicken tenders. I feel it is terrible that Earl Grey Cafe charges a $2.50 fee on each item in a carry out order. The other restaurants at Rampart do not charge any fee at all. The food is disappointing as well. I ordered a burger, etc, and asked the person who took my carry out order if I could substitute it with the vegan burger and if there was an additional charge. She said there was no extra charge and then when I picked the order up, there was an extra $3 charge, plus the carry out fees. Between that and the carry out charge, I am very dissatisfied with this place, and other people have told me they were told there was a carry out charge, but not for each item. The Earl Grey Café is located in the Rampart Casino/JW Marriott near the casino. I was staying out at the hotel for a work event and was glad that this cafe existed and had great food. This was my go to breakfast spot and I also had dinner here one of the days I was here. I felt like everything was very affordable and it was a good value. I would order my food over the phone before hand for my breakfast items that I was going to bring back to my room and they told me that my food to be ready in about 15 minutes. That was just the right amount of time for me to get ready and walk to the restaurant since I was still a ways away like a good 5+ minute walk. They also have different types of specials throughout the day since they're open 24 hours. They have a late night section of the menu, there's a breakfast section, and then a dine in special menu. I thought everything was really enjoyable. It wasn't the nicest or fanciest but very affordable and delicious. For breakfast I got an avocado toast one morning and then also a create your own omelettes and orange juice. Off of their dinner menu I got the dine in promotion where you're able to select a soup or salad, an entrée, and a dessert. Was down the street from Rampart and Suncoast and was getting a bit hungry, been to Suncoast several times but the parking lot always looks deserted so we stopped at Rampart for lunch. Just wanted a light(er) lunch so we chose the Earl.... Seated right away, the decor was Ok, but in my mind, kinda old fashioned like your grandmothers parlor... The menu's were laminated and frayed at the edges, time for a re-do. Laila was the server. I ordered the burger with mushrooms and peppers and fries. My dining companion had the grilled cheese on sourdough with tomato soup. My burger was pretty good but the brioche bun couldn't hold up to the peppers and 'shrooms. The fries were a total disappointment. Crinkle cut, they were cold and hard. (Went home for the dogger). They really looked like something you'd buy in a bag at a dollar discount store. My companions grilled cheese was OK, but the soup was super sour to the point of being unpalatable. Wasn't worth making a fuss as we're kind of in a hurry to run some other errands.
