We've been coming to Omelet House on Rampart and Lake Mead for years, and it's always a great experience. One of the things we love most is that we're almost always seated right away, which is a huge plus. The food is consistently good, and the menu is enormous. If you're an omelet fan, you'll be in heaven--they offer a huge variety of omelets, and they're made with a whopping 8 eggs! Yes, really 8 eggs. One of my favorite things on the breakfast menu is the option to get pumpkin bread or banana bread instead of regular toast. The pumpkin bread is absolutely delicious. It comes out warm with butter on the side, and it's worth the visit all by itself. The servers are always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We've consistently received excellent service every time we've been here. Just keep in mind that they only serve breakfast and lunch, as they're open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you visit on a Sunday, you'll also get to enjoy live music, which adds a fun touch to the atmosphere. Sorry I gotta give this place 3 stars and it's simply because the lack of ability to customize an omelette. We came in here for a meal after a hardcore workout. It's a Friday on a holiday weekend. So a bit busy. The staff was great. Could not say anything bad about the staff. The low score is because out of all the omelets they offer they don't offer an option to build your own. I asked and was shut down immediately. The only option was to pick one close and add to it. Not a great option as it added $8 to an already $19 omelette plus $4 to sub fruit. This is an old school dinner... the restaurant was empty for a Saturday; which at 1st was alarming; however once we got a bite of this banana bread it was soo good. I got some food to go for my mom and I on Sunday. I ordered a Greek Omelet and asked to add Jalapeños and sausage. Jalapeños was added but NO sausage even though I was charged for it, $3.70 to add sausage but got none!! My mom's bacon was very under cooked as well. I absolutely love this place! It is a quaint breakfast establishment in Summerlin. The Ambiance reminds me of a cute restaurant that we would've seen back in the day. The staff always has a smile on their faces. There are several options to chose from on the menu. Now on to the good part, the taste of the food. EVERYTHING, I've had here and I mean everything is delicious from the entrees down to the sides. They serve mimosas as well! One thing that I might recommend is upgrading the champagne. I have never been treated as bad as I was today at the omelet house. We are frequently customers and never had an issue with the staff as we had today . Although our food was good and served very timely we had a real struggle with our waitress Callie. We met family members at the restaurant and they brought one of the store coupons for a 2 for one meal . Although our family ordered two drinks as required for the use of the coupon the waitress stated we can't use the coupon because my wife and I wanted to order the breakfast specials. So the waitress explained we can't use the coupon if anyone at the table orders the specials, then we could not split the ticket nor could our family members sit at another table to use the coupon which is not required . The manager Jeri was asked to intervene at my request. She said no problem so said we can split the check on what we ordered and let my guests use the coupon with their separate check and life was good . But when it came time to pay the waitress said no we can only split the check down the middle and she could not breakout the separate check as what the manager had told us . anyway Jeri got back involved split the food on two checks our guest used their coupon everyone was happy except our waitress. When she handed the two checks to us she said this is never going to happen again we will not be allowed to order special and use a coupon at the same time again . Which is not posted anywhere in the restaurant nor were we ever allowed to split the check again. She was very hostile and certainly offended that the manager accommodated what we wanted. First of all, this is not Omelette House. It's the Omelette Café now. I give three stars because the store was clean and new looking and the servers were very nice. My wife had biscuits and gravy. Her biscuit was so hard that she couldn't cut it with a knife. I even had the server to try to cut the biscuit with gravy on it. He could not cut it either. Omelette house is known for their potato spuds . They were so tough that I could not cut them with my teeth. I think the biggest disappointment is that when we returned my wife's biscuit and gravy, there wasn't a manager or owner who had enough about them to come out and apologize. This was poor management. This is a nice breakfast/brunch restaurant that has many different types of omelets. I had the Mexi-Cali this morning. It is Ortega chiles and onions with Jack cheese. Not a bad choice if you are wanting to stay within a point budget on WW. The eggs/chiles/onions are cooked very well and taste fantastic. I got the tomato slices in place of their signature spuds (sliced potatoes that are fried and seasoned). The potatoes are really good here, just can't spend the points on them. I would suggest not getting the tomatoes since they are Roma tomatoes and not really good as a slicing tomato. Just a different flavor that I really don't like. The service is fantastic. My coffee cup was never over half empty before it was being filled again by any waitress or bus boy walking by with the coffee pot. I have been here quite a few times before and found every omelet I have tried to be a good mix of flavors. Definitely a good place to eat. The service is great, the ambience is fine. Weekends can get so busy at breakfast and brunch places around town so we called ahead and thankfully they had no wait at this time. So we walked right in and got seated. We enjoyed our food. Although we were slightly thrown off that it has the exact same name as the original omelette house located near downtown since 1978 and the menu has the same format. We did learn that it is completely different owners. Even the menu style and format and the items offered are the exact same as the original. The banana and pumpkin bread that the original omelette house is famous with locals are not as good here. They are dryer and a little more crumbly. My Philly steak cheese sandwich was perfect.
