Everything was delicious. The littles menu is excellent. I had the Lucy scramble and it was so flavorful. Added some salt and pepper to your liking of course. Our server was Gorgette and she is TeA. Stopped here for breakfast this morning! The food was pretty good I ordered a pretty standard breakfast but the coffee cake with it was also quite delicious! When you walk in the space is a bit small but comfortable with lots of cool stuff to look at. When our server brought our menus she also brought a lighter side menu. This menu included 2 items we were looking at in a smaller portion at a lower price. Perfect for us older folks. The food was very good and usually is consistent in quality. Nice place for breakfast or lunch. I guess I have not reviewed this spot until now, sorry. We do stop in occasionally as it is close by. The inside is very big and opened. There's a lot of tables outside too if you want to eat outdoors. I got the banana walnut pancake and it was ok nothing special. The pancake it self was not too fluffy it was a bit on the heavier side. The cracked croissant was nice. Nothing too crazy. I would say it is a bit expensive here. $5 for a small cup of apple juice took me by surprise. The coffee cake wasn't too bad it was fluffy warm and soft. Kinda tasted like lemon ? Maybe it's me. Located on the north side of Cheyenne just past Buffalo in a very crowded strip mall, this is the smallest location we've visited, but they do have a lot of outdoor seating. We walked in and we were seated right away; the waitress was very sweet. We ordered the Big Bad Wolf, 2 smart omelettes and they all came with coffee cake! The food was pretty tasty and aside from the cramped feeling of where they sat us, it was a nice visit. I wouldn't mind trying again, but maybe not on a Sunday. read more

Service is very attentive knowledgeable of the menu that we get the order in a decent amount of time. Ambience is good. They have a side of the restaurants which has the windows. Decided to have breakfast here after my blood draw since it was close and I had eaten here a few years ago. I got seated immediately and the staff is friendly and attentive. I was not impressed overall with the coffee caked once I started to eat is since it was primarily cake with very little coffee crumble on top. I also ordered a side of eggs and toast which were good. Overall, I thought the price was pretty steep, over $18, for my coffee, coffee cake, 2 fried eggs and side of sour dough toast. This is my second time visiting the cracked egg. The food was delicious both times! We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving, which was great. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. I got the country fried steak with potato's and it was Their blueberry coffee cake was absolutely amazing. It was hot out of the oven and so moist and delicious. The inside is very much like a basic breakfast/brunch spot- about 16 tables. Farm decor (chickens, eggs, etc). They do have outside seating but I'm not sure how many tables they use. Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive. After we finished, we did have to wait a little bit for our waitress to bring a to go box and our bill. Came here for brunch with a friend. I got the bacon cheeseburger and substituted hashbrowns for fries. The burger was average. I would say seven out of 10, but the hashbrowns were delicious, but I could eat hashbrowns all day. I also got a coffee cake in my opinion it was just OK. It was light and fluffy with. I believe a strawberry filling, but it did not taste like coffee cake to me. And I think five dollars for a small piece of cake is not worth it. I would give it a five out of 10. My friend got the croissant sandwich., at the time she really liked it and said it was delicious but later on in the day, she said that she got sick from eating here. I would come back to give this place another try, the Monte Cristo sounded really good, but I will not be ordering the coffee cake again. Highly recommend getting a slice to try of whatever is fresh. I got a club sandwich which was on a whole grain bread and served with fries. The sandwich was good and the fries were crispy with a good seasoning. A pretty standard order you'll find at a lot of restaurants so nothing unique or fancy to critique, but all of it was made well. The southwest scramble came out and wasn't what we thought it would be. There was so much meat on it and no egg. We thought since it was a scramble there would be more egg in it. The coffee cake they offer isn't the traditional coffee cake. It's more like a white cake with some cinnamon in it with powder sugar frosting drizzled on top. It was lemon flavored and warm when served. It was my favorite part of the meal. If you come to The Cracked Egg, the coffee cake is a must try. My Skillet was good. It wasn't amazing, but I still liked it. There was way too much cheese which I removed and hardly any hollandaise sauce. Th Carnitas Omelette was okay as well. My partner wasn't a fan of how much peppers and onions were in the omelette. Although we both thought the potatoes were amazing. They were seasoned perfectly. I saw the server who had gotten our order (this was before they came up to us) went to the bathroom (which was okay!) a little later after we sat. I just hope they'd maybe send someone our way or had told someone. The people who sat after us already ordered their food and was served. We have lived down the road from this place for two years now and we frequent the near by pizza shop, and tropical smoothie. But it never clicked to try out the breakfast place until I went searching on yelp. I saw they had homemade coffee cake and I made it my mission to try it out. Man oh man, am I glad I did! The coffee cake came out warm, fluffy, moist and just so delicious. It had the perfect amount of icing. I am absolutely hooked and am already dreaming of my next piece. I had also ordered the cracked croissant sandwich with seasoned potatoes. It too was perfection. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. The croissant/sausage/egg concoction was delectable. My partner had a pancake stack, potatoes and toast. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal as did our little one who was all about her chocolate chip pancakes. The only downside of the experience was the slow service. Our little one got quite impatient. I'm going to chalk it up to being placed in the far corner in a booth that I'm sure is easy to forget.
