Food was delicious, but unfortunately my partner got severe food poisoning after eating here. We came around lunchtime my partner ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered a sandwich. We each took half of our meals home, and the only other thing me and my partner had eaten that day was a homemade smoothie that morning. They finished the rest of the breakfast burrito for dinner, and around 3am woke up violently throwing up and extremely sick. The vomiting continued until around 3pm the next day. This honestly raised concerns for us about food handling and cleanliness practices. We really enjoyed the taste of the food, which makes this even more disappointing, but getting that sick afterward was alarming. I hope the restaurant takes food safety and kitchen sanitation seriously so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

We really love Lucky Penny for the quick seating, they have a $5 burger special right now and I always get the build your own omelette with some bacon, tomato, and cheese (you get 2 ingredients so anything extra is like $1 each or something, total was $18). But I noticed their late night menu specials prices are kinda the same pretty much as the daily ones, maybe an online glitch. And with the red rock rewards card you get 10% off your check but only during late night hours. Anyway, our server Jose was very prompt and aware, lots of drink refills even after we paid the check as we stayed to chat. It's never too busy especially on a weekday evening, and their dessert bar is so delectable even just to look at. Man I miss their cookie dough croissant though! I hope they bring it back some day. My wife and I only make it up to the Lucky Penny when we visit my dad who lives in Vegas. That being said, we visit my dad as often as we can. On a recent trip to Reno, we stopped in and met my dad for breakfast at the Lucky Penny at Red Rock. It's a very well decorated 24/7 casino eatery with Kino game results displayed on each wall as if to remind you of where you are. The menu is pretty extensive, so I have been trying different things each visit. I've had The American, The Vegas Cheesesteak, The Lucky Breakfast Burrito, and the Mushroom, Spinach, and Swiss Omelet. All of them were fantastic. We have had to wait a bit to get seated at times, but that is just a sign of it being a tremendous place to grab a meal. The tables are great, service is impeccable, and everyone we have seen or spoken with are having a great time and eating fantastic food. The Lucky Penny is well worth stopping in for a meal any time of the day or night. You won't be disappointed. read more

After spotting those eye-catching billboards all over town, my wife and I decided to check out our nearest Station Casino and see what the $5.99 burger-and-fries deal was really about. As always, the entrance to Red Rock has that distinctive smell--I'm guessing it's some kind of air freshener or sanitizer trying to mask cigarette smoke. It doesn't bother me, but my wife isn't a fan. We waited just a few minutes before asking the hostess about the special. She explained it's available all day, every day, as long as at least one person in the party has a Station Casino Boarding Pass (their players' card). Only one card is needed. We were seated quickly and greeted almost immediately. Already knowing what we wanted, we ordered two of the $6.00 burgers and two waters. Our waitress smiled and gently corrected us: "They're actually $5.99." We had a good laugh about that. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, and we were pleasantly surprised. The burger was a solid, classic size--not huge, but definitely enough for a satisfying meal--and the fries were generous. It came dressed with mayonnaise, fresh lettuce, and tomato, plus a small side of pickles and a cup of ketchup. It's not the best burger in town by any means, but it's genuinely good--maybe even great--when you factor in the $5.99 price. A generous portion of pineapple, bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, strawberries, raspberries, boysenberries, and blueberries with a side of plain yogurt. One of the few times I've eaten healthy in Vegas. There was a 20 minute wait for a table so we had time to play a bit before they called to notify us a table was available. Service was good. They took our order promptly and the food came quickly. 2 of our party ordered the breakfast combo but were disappointed with the sausage which was mixed with apple and they were expecting regular sausage that isn't sweet. The place wasn't packed at all but I still waited almost half an hour for my order, which felt a bit long considering it was a single plate and I was dining solo. And my server seemed a little dismissive when he asked if I really didn't want anything else from the regular menu. I got the vibe that he was expecting every customer to spend more? I asked for the steak medium rare but it came out looking more like rare, especially on one side. At that point, I didn't have the energy to bring it up so I just ate what I could and headed out. I also asked for lemons for my water and had to ask three times before they were finally brought out and that was only after my food had already arrived. You can get pancakes for $3.99 up to Steak and Eggs for $9.99. They also have a Cheeseburger special as well. I was craving breakfast on this particular night - 11:30pm. Upon being seated, the server was there quickly to get our drink and food order. We were between the Deuces Wild and Steak and Eggs. The server honestly told us that while the steak is good (6 oz) just be mindful that it's $9.99 so set expectations accordingly. With that - we understood and opted for the Deuces Wild. You can choose between bacon and sausage and we opted for bacon. The food came out very quickly - as expected for not being a busy time. The eggs were perfectly over easy, the hash browns fluffy and good. The bacon was just OK - it could have been a little more done in my opinion. The only kicker is I asked for my rye toast dry and it came out slathered and dripping in butter. I didn't see anyone to flag down at the time so I just dealt with it. I do like that they have marble rye, but again, it was dripping in butter - which I wanted the toast dry anyhow. It was an off time at 2pm so I chose Lucky Penny for breakfast. The hostess told me I had to give her my name and number and they'll text me in about 20 minutes when a table is ready (Party of 1). So I sat in a chair by the video poker facing the hostess. I received a text letting me know that they'll let me know when my table is ready. 10 minutes later they had a changing of the hostess/hostess. I then watched a new host seat over 6 different parties of 1person, 2ppl, 4ppl,etc. I walked over and asked the host if all these people had a reservation? He said no, they were just taking people in line. I explained to him what happened and showed him my confirmation from the hostess 15 minutes ago to wait... and so he the sat me at a table near their counter. 20 more minutes later I was finally able to get someone's attention for a cup of coffee! They were serving people all around me with no one checking my table or making any eye contact with me. I was finally able to order and received my breakfast about 30 minutes after being seated. My fruit bowl contained old brown pineapple & Watermelon that tasted as if it was sitting out for days. The rest of my breakfast was good. I received my check and was told I just pay at my table and someone will be back. AGAIN almost 15 minutes before I could get anyone's attention to pick up my cash to pay my bill. I brought my Mom here for lunch one day and we had an amazing experience. I was dying to try the burger here as I've heard nothing but great things about it. The burger came back medium rare, I think. Not a lot of pink but some there. I like my burgers done. No pink. This was my fault as I forgot to mention that upon ordering. My Mom got the fish and chips, and she absolutely loved it. I took a bite and it was delicious. I think it was beer battered, which is fine, but I think it had a little more beer than I would have liked. The burger was quite tasty. I think I would have enjoyed more if it were completely done, but that's ok. My Mom loved the atmosphere. She loved the fact that she could people watch folks walking in the casino while eating. lol! The flavour of the cheese sandwich dipped in the tomato sauce had an exquisite taste a sour and flavorful one at that. A breakfast platter with hash browns scrambled eggs and pancakes were average to me. Lastly, a turkey club was ordered and it was also average. I ordered a $6.25 Dubai chocolate roll that was immaculate. There were only two left and it was enjoyable nonetheless. The pricing on the food was reasonable for the atmosphere and service but also the quality of the food. Had there been more food, I would have said it was an excellent experience, but I throughly enjoyed it for the most part. Red rock as a casino in Vegas is nice however, way off the strip. I rather go to the strip in Vegas do to having a variety of things to do unlike this area in the desert without any other places nearby worthy of being visited. The vibe is more chill so I thought the menu wouldn't be more than like a diner type of place, but I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case. Both these items alone are a reason just to try it out. It's decent quality and it is at a really good price. Don't come here expecting high quality steakhouse meats as this is more of a diner type of feel. When it's late night, there may be a lot of people here so just be cautious that it can get busy. The hostess suggested to us previously to sit at the bar since it'll be a faster service, but we decided to sit at the table. The wait wasn't too long at about 10-15 minutes so it wasn't that bad. Kim and Umit were amazing! I came In at two separate times. Umit the bartender gave such great service, I decided to come back with my family and got Kim! Both of them had amazing customer service. Nachos were "loaded" but the cheese sauce tasted like mac and cheese versus authentic nacho cheese. A side order of fries hit the spot with ranch and buffalo sauce. My mom seemed to enjoy the basic American breakfast. The highlight of the night was watching our food be served to the wrong table and then brought back to us. Thanksgiving at Lucky Penny (within the Red Rock Casino). My brother and I went to Lucky Penny for Thanksgiving since we took Mom there for Mothers Day. Mom passed on November 23, 2025. There goes the holidays. Wonderful filling meal. Started out with a holiday salad with shaved apples, candied pecans, sundried cranberries, manchego Cheese, with cinnamon-date vinaigrette. I had a glass of Chardonnay. The main dish consisted of citrus brined roasted turkey, traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes, Green bean casserole, maple candied yams, sage gravy, and cranberry sauce. And dessert! Pumpkin cheesecake with graham cracker crust, whipped cream, and hazelnut brittle. So good. This year, there's another chair at Heaven's Table. Lord - Mom has a place at your table forever and that one day we'll be with her (and Dad) once again. We opened our hearts to joyful memories of the love we shared. She would have loved the Thanksgiving special. Coincidence, I think not. As stated abive. we had taken Mom to Lucky Penny on Mother's Day. Honestly we had high hopes for this cafe but expectations were not met. After waiting 25 minutes, we were eventually seated and given our drink of choice. After placing our order with our server, she was no where to be found until 30 minutes later when the food finally arrived. I read some of the recent reviews stating the service was terrible and so was the food. Maybe the other people were simply coming at the wrong time. We did not encounter any of those issues, in fact quite the opposite, maybe people were pissed because they came to eat after losing in the casino. Our server was Lisa and we had fantastic service so I really don't understand why the bad reviews. I had the kings cut of prime rib medium rare, The meat was okay, not great and by far not the worst I've had. I'm accustomed to a nice exterior with rock salt. The size, of course was tiny gor me since I'm used to minimum of 32 ounces and above., but this wasn't all that bad.
