I've been here twice, and the second time around wasn't as good as the first. The shop smelled kinda funky like B.O. and unless you can snag street parking you have to go into a paid lot. Initially I thought it was a bit pricey (just looking over the menu) but the food was good overall. My favorite thing here is the spicy caprese ciabatta! Spicy caprese ciabatta: two slices of buttery spicy ciabatta bread cut into four portions topped with tomato, mozzarella, yummy fresh pesto EVOO and a tasty balsamic reduction. This was perfection to me. French dip: so meaty cheesy and good! We did order it plain (meat and cheese only, no sauce or spreads). One of the best parts of this sandwich is the bread. It was crunchy, soft, and flavorful at the same time. *I did order this again off the menu with all the sauce/spreads to try and I didn't like it unfortunately. I wasn't a fan of the bacon jam. Fun goat vegetarian: I was a little skeptical because of the appearance, but once I took a bite the flavor was poppin'! The goat cheese and sautéed mushrooms went so well together. Finally made to Earls Sandwich. I Had the Drew which ia a pastrami sandwich. Piled high with pastrami and top with a pickle and tomato. In a bun with mayo, whole grain mustard and tomato jam. A good sandwich, but I thought the mustard over powered the taste of the pastrami. Will go back to try something else. read more

Wowz. My friend kept raving about this place and I was like ever since I saw their cool hip ad on Instagram, I've even wanting to try this place. Haha. To get here, there are several street parking places and parking lots that you have to pay a couple dollars. We went to go have some lunch. The lines weren't that long it went pretty fast. My friend got the Drew and I got the French dip. We also traded half of the sandwiches to be able to try both! Also, we both got the lilikoi lemonade. Wow what a great little gem. It's a small place tucked in the middle of a shopping complex. There is a parking lot with free first 20 min and .75 per 20 min after that. We got the Drew (pastrami), the French dip and the Chorizo/BLT. All were amazing with the pastrami the consensus favorite. The meats were soft, tender and flavorful. The sandwiches we had here were some of the best we've ever had! I got the french dip, the meat was tender, the bread was nicely toasted. Everything was seasoned and flavorful. My friend got the Cuban and I'm definitely going to have to try that one next! They don't skimp on Anat of the ingredients. If you are not a huge fan of super sweet drinks, give their flavored unsweetened tea a try! The guava one was my favorite. During my trip to Hawaii, there are dozens of places to try and I'm glad to I got experience Earl, now EARL kaimuki. This place is FIRE! A small shop with room for 3ish diners, there was a huge line coming out of the door. I knew I did something right that day by choosing EARL. The restaurant is small (only approximately 8-10 seats) but luckily sandwiches are perfect picnic food and there's a lot of parks and beaches not too far away. The cashier could tell I was torn between the Beer Braised Brisket and the Cubano, but since I saw the brisket on Instagram she suggested I try it out since it was one of the most popular choices. I was so happy with my sandwich! Juicy, tender brisket meat with horseradish mayo, roasted green chilis, pickled onions, cheddar cheese and a stout au jus for dipping. The portion size was big!! I probably could have stopped at half but it was too yummy to put down! My friend ordered the Turkey Jam Slam. She really enjoyed hers as well. We both ordered sweet tea and this was the perfect drink to compliment the savory sub. All the employees were very friendly! Apparently I've written a review for EARL, but I'm back for another! I still love the fun goat sandwich... which is the best vegetarian sandwich I've had. Actually, EARL is still my favorite place (across the US) for sandwiches. I don't go out to eat sandwiches often but I actually CRAVE the ones at EARL. I don't know what it is about the sandwiches here that stands out over others. The combination of flavors... the ingredients... are all thought out perfectly. It's a VEGGIE one but I love some goat cheese so even without meat, it was great.) A chorizo BLT (D got this and it was great,) and a Beet sandwich. They service salads as well. The price range for sandwiches is $9.50 - $14. You can make it a meal, add chips and a drink for an extra $3.50. Prices not too crazy considering this is a tourist town and area. Best sandwiches ever!. I'd be shocked if someone does not like these sandwiches. I think my favorite is the chorizo one. I'm a sucker for Mexican style chorizo and avocado. These are some seriously savory sandwiches (say that six times fast). While I am not a big fan of cheddar cheese I am a huge fan of their beer braised brisket sandwich. It is juicy and the meat is so tender and moist. The Italian is like most Italian sandwiches that you can find elsewhere, however they should call it the big gambino because it is one big ol sandwhich. I've been a loyal EARLs customer since I moved here from Seattle in 2015. Their Beer Braised Brisket sandwich used to be smoked, and was one of the favorites for my family, friends, and work crews. They have since moved from their previous location to a more convenient location. I believe that big black monstrosity in the back that created those luscious sandwiches was too big to move or not enough room in the new location. I ordered 5 of the Brisket sandwiches today, and the quality was good but definitely not the large, juicy, cheesy wonderfulness of the previous Brisket sandwich that would make 2 meals for the largest appetite! Out of all of that, my favorite is the French Dip. It's just so tasty and it's not any ordinary French Dip. The meat is so tender, which makes it easier to eat. The toppings that accompany the meat make the sandwich complete. All together, it's just the perfect French Dip sandwich. As an appetizer, you need to try the avocado toast. It's probably one of the best avocado toasts on island. When you check in on Yelp, you can claim $2 off. I guess the only thing that is a downer is that my favorite sandwich costs $12.50. If it was cheaper, I would definitely visit more often. Because of the pricing, I can't eat here as often as I would like, but it's still worth it when I do. They offer a stamp card. The cubano was very meaty, flavorful and moist as well. The pickles were a great kick to it as well and their mayo. The avocado bahn mi is their healthy alternative if you're not into meat. The pickled veggies are crunchy, avocados are generous and ripe, their creamy basil mayo went great altogether. You can taste the freshness and creaminess and citrusy flavor. EARL is a staple in my book. I've come here countless times for a few years because the turkey jam sam keeps drawing me back. Everyone I come with unanimously agrees that the food here is pretty awesome. Food: I've tried a variety of their menu items like the avocado brisket banh-mi, sliders, turkey jam sam, avocado toast, and their salad. Ok, so in other words I really, really love the food here. The turkey jam sam is always a home run. Chunks of turkey mixed with mayonnaise, house made pickles, lettuce, and tomato. Also, you can't beat that bacon jam inside the sandwich. It's a game changer. Service/ambiance/Price: Service is pretty fast considering that they can garner a pretty large crowd during peak hours. You order at the window and they call you when your order is ready. Ambiance is super casual. The restaurant is seat yourself. Prices for sandwiches range from about $10-14. If you don't mind paying a couple dollars for parking, they have a parking lot available which has open spots (only sometimes). They also have street parking as well.
