Our group was put in a back area, which worked well for standing up and mingling. For drinks, I chose the White Sangria (NA), which was fine but too sweet for me. I do wish they had lighter/more refreshing mocktails! For food, I tried the Parmesan Truffle Fries, which were nice and crispy. You can also park at the mall, which is super convenient, and the closest parking garage for that is right next to Macy's. I really love the ambiance of STK, it's very purple, super nice, and the architecture is so unique. The whole vibe of the place is just really fun. Our server was also really sweet. We only ordered water, but we ended up trying their six-dollar little burger and truffle fries, which came out in about 10 minutes. It was delicious. It's definitely more of a bite-size portion, but it was super yummy if you just want a light bite. We also got their tater tots, which were only three dollars, and it came with four giant pieces of potato. They honestly tasted more like mashed potato squares, but they were still really good. I loved the sauce that came with it too. Overall, the service was great, the girl who helped us was so nice, and my friend and I were able to sit and chat for about an hour and a half. We came here to celebrate our baby due in the next 2 weeks. Sander was our waiter and to say he did a good job is an understatement. I'll say more about him later. As far as food, my husband really enjoyed his New York strip he thought it was extremely flavorful. The sides were OK but the steak was definitely the star of the night for him. Our server Sofia A. was A+++++++++++++ with our group of 10! She set the tone from start to end ensuring we had the best service throughout the night. She had assistants helping with running drinks, food and picking up plates as needed. We were able to place our drink order with ease and everything came out correct. When a refill on Coke came out wrong, Sofia was quick to correct on the spot. During our food order she helped ensure the kids got appropriate meals of Mac n Cheese and Sliders (since there was no kids menu). The tater tots were huge! and fun. My friends had to order more food because they expected the portions to be larger haha. Meanwhile, I ordered that $9 burger and chips and I think got the best value for money. The burger was pretty tasty and quite filling. My actual biggest gripe was that the server launched into explaining every part of the menu, and wouldn't stop despite the number of times we inserted commentary about the happy hour. The mashed potatoes had that odd texture and taste like they'd been overboiled and watered down. The lobster mac and cheese was just okay. I like STK two years later. I come either for brunch or for happy hour which are the two times of day that STK feels like a bit of a steal. Brunch is a highlight because they have this amazing cinnamon bread that comes to the table for free. Also, their breakfast burger is the least expensive item on the menu, is absolutely delicious, and will fill you up. You'll have to look for it because it is in the most overlooked location on the menu. Also brunch is often under-attended so it is very easy to hear a group of people! I enjoy the relaxed ambiance. Happy hour tends to be busier but it is worth it. First, all their cocktails are reduced in price significantly so. As of this review they are $9. You can't find a bar in Bellevue with $9 cocktails on Bellevue Way. That alone makes Happy Hour worth it because their cocktails are legitimately good! But full priced they aren't worth it, truly, because then they're more expensive than Ascend and STK is no Ascend. Their food menu is great too but little bites. This is to be expected for items ranging from $3 to $9. Order a couple different items and call it good. I have lucked out as far as service. It's a two top that's situated at the end of the aisle before you go to the bathroom and the kitchen. My daughter and partner ended up coming to have dinner tonight 5/9/26. Dinner was great and paid with cash and left on the table. As we were half way to our car we get a call saying we had not paid and that there was cameras. I went ahead and asked if maybe an employee had picked up our $300 tab and she kept insisting no one had and that our tab was not paid. I then told her that we could go back and watch the cameras together to reassure her we had paid our tabs. As we are 1 min out she calls me back saying one of the employees had picked up the tab. This was one of the most unfortunate things especially after she kept repeating she had cameras and had not checked them prior to harassing me that there was no check paid. Came here to try out this restaurant during restaurant week. Walking in, you immediately feel like you've walked into a trendy nightclub. Cool white seating with purple lighting. A bit tacky, but cool vibes for what it is. Service was great! House bread was yummy! Cocktails were also good, but pricey. I got the tuna tartare tacos for a starter. This was actually really good! Although they are tiny and you only get 2 of them and it's served in a 3 taco holder. This left me feeling like I was missing something. Either fill them with 3 tacos or get 2 taco holder. But it was a damn delicious bite! Just the right amount of crunch, seasoning, and the avocado to lighten it up! I got the skirt steak for entree. It was cooked well, a bit chewy, but it was seasoned well and cooked a medium rare, which I asked for. The chimichurri sauce was watery, which I was not expecting. My friend ordered the wild mushroom risotto, which was a pretty decent portion. It had good flavor and the shaved black truffle was a nice touch! read more
