We're always amazed at how quickly they bring the food out -- no matter how busy they are, it's usually on the table within 5-10 minutes. Enjoyed a nice breakfast at the Early Bird. It was busy on a Sunday morning but we got in relatively quickly. Service was great given the busy and small restaurant. Our much needed coffee was always full. I had the Traveller Special with two pancakes, two eggs over medium and two strips of bacon. The bacon was more overdone than I prefer but the rest was very good. My wife had the Florentine Benedict special and some Challah french toast. The French toast lacked the sweetness one expects from challah but it was still fine. We took most of the French toast home as we intended. It was a good meal and much appreciated. read more

This is a nice little breakfast cafe with delicious food and a friendly staff. We like to order their skillets, which come out hot and fresh on an iron skillet. Whenever we go, I know that our dining experience will be great and that we'll be in and out in less than hour because of how quickly they bring the food out. The staff checks on us regularly, offers coffee and tea refills, brings extra napkins without having to ask, and even offers a coffee to go if you ordered one while dining. Early Bird Cafe is one of those businesses that has been around a long time and has developed a long list of loyal cliental based on the quality of their food, reasonable prices and friendly wait staff. This is a breakfast/Lunch centric business where they open early (7am) and close at 3pm. Early Bird Cafe breakfast menu has a nice variety and includes specialty items, nice choice of omelettes, cereal/otmeal, skillet breakfasts, Grilled items and a nice selection of sides. The luncheon menu is equally diverse and includes a nice assortment sandwiches, Soups and salad options. In general the food is always well made and tasty with accompanying prompt service. Big Things to note about this business is that it is relatively small and due to its popularity it is quite common to see people waiting in line to get seated especially on the weekends. Surprisingly even on week days this place can fill up by 8am for breakfasts. The other thing of note that I find important being a cost conscious retiree is that they have pocket friendly weekday breakfast specials where my Classic Breakfast (2 eggs, 4 slices of thick cut bacon, Potatoes and toast) cost only $6.50. This is a great deal that you cant touch in most restaurants in the area, especially ones with the quality of the food they serve. In part I believe it is these breakfast specials that lead to this place filling quickly on weekday mornings as you will see other retiree's scattered about enjoying their breakfast in the 7 to 8am timeslot. Overall one of the better sit-down breakfast joints in the area and one you should check out if you are in the area. read more

Ordered the traveler's special with scrambled eggs, sausage and pancake. Also ordered the corned beef hash and French toast. Liked the sausage. The service was fast. Coffee refill is constant. Plenty of jam and sugar on the table. Restroom available. Dining area ample. I find the food to be ok. A touch of salt and pepper will help enhance the flavor. My favorite place to go. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a couple years and we are never EVER disappointed. While the line outside can seem daunting, the staff turns tables like crazy. Never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Everyone is so polite, the food is fantastic, and it is inexpensive. Love this place and the homey feels it has. It was small, quaint and seems to have a nice regular crowd to it. The place isn't huge, but spacey enough. Great breakfast and lunch options, with reasonable prices. I went with the salami and eggs, which actually was really really good. It came with hash browns, which were good, but a bit dry. They were way better than coney island hash browns, but not the best that I've had in awhile. My waitress was a pro, and running the place by herself.
