Came up to Pine on a Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving for some off roading fun on the trails. It was our first time at this restaurant. It's a pretty big place inside, lots of tables and vinyl upholstered booths. It was pretty busy, but service was quick and friendly. We ordered and the food came out so fast! Food was hot, portions are big! And it all was really tasty. This is what a breakfast diner in the mountains should be. We'll definitely be coming back!

So I just wanted to share my experience at this little café - it's nothing fancy, just your typical café vibe. But honestly, the food was a total surprise! We got the chicken fried steak, and it was pretty darn good - nice and flavorful! The bacon was perfectly cooked (I know, shocking, right? Haha!). I had to say that cause believe it or not I have had bad bacon places not sure how you can mess bacon up, but some places do, And the country fried potatoes were delicious, with yummy onions in them. Just a heads-up though, if you're craving a mimosa or bloody Mary.with your breakfast, this might not be the place. But if you're looking for some seriously good comfort food, definitely check it out!

I have to say this is one of my favorite places to stop and grab breakfast while in Pine. Just good solid food, great quick service at a family friendly restaurant. No bells and whistles but you don't need it.

On my drive back from my weekend camping/caving trip, I needed some breakfast and this place got great reviews so I stopped in and it did not disappoint. Service was impeccable and this place is a well oiled machine and definitely do business right! They have an outdoor area to dine in so that was just lovely on a beautiful early Sunday morning breakfast. Coffee was ok, but everything else was stellar. I had the 2 eggs special and had to give their biscuit a try. Biscuits are ginormous and delicious! I also spotted a spiced apple cobbler to take home and it is just so yummy and good! Definitely stop into this place, you'll be happy you did!

This was a good place to grab a bite to eat. Good options for breakfast or lunch. They were great about taking our order & getting it back to us fast, but don't expect to see them again after that. It was a little weird. We'd come back & try breakfast one day.

Was in Pine for my quarterly visit the other day and literally every food provider was closed. I was starving and Early Bird was open so I went. I was sort of greeted and led to a table that needed cleaning. No biggie. I was brought water by the young gal who sat me; she was also the only person to refill it for me. Eventually my server arrived and literally only asked for my order, which was the open face hot turkey sandwich. My food arrived about 20 minutes after ordering and my server merely slid it in front of me. Didn't ask if I needed anything else and never came back except to slide the check in front of me. Not sure if it was a bad day; I try to give the benefit of the doubt but... The food however, was worth it. Juicy turkey, REAL MASHED POTATO and yummy seasonal veggies. I would return for the food and homemade desserts, service was inadequate and unprofessional.

Soooo yummy! We ordered French toast, pancakes, Country fried steak and it was delicious. I would recommend the pancakes over French toast. Service is great, they are very attentive & not just one waitress, all of them will ask if you need anything which is rare to see elsewhere. We will always come here for breakfast when we are in town again.

Would give more stars! This is the BEST breakfast I have ever had in Arizona. The food is so obviously homecooked - I had the best biscuit I ever had in my whole life here. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. Eat here!!!!!

Went for breakfast and was surprised! It was sooo good. I had the special: 2 eggs, bacon, biscuit & gravy. The biscuits are HOMEMADE!!! Can't wait to go back and try other stuff. Our waitress was efficient but not a lot of smiles. Maybe she was having a bad day. But the food was excellent.

Good came out extremely fast. Biscuits and gravy were the best thing we ordered. So fluffy and delicious. Service was ok. Never checked on us till we were done but we just got up and asked for what we needed. Definitely be prepared for everything to be covered in butter but that's what makes it good right!? Would definitely go again. Also the pancakes are huge. Ordered two thinking they were normal but easily would have been good with one.

We came up to Pine to escape the heat for a few days. We went on a hike and through the craft fair and ran upon Early bird cafe. I'm so happy we did! They give very large portions. I could barely eat half. They have a breakfast special that's 2 eggs, hash browns or breakfast potato's and bread or a pancake with corned beef hash for $13.99. I found it reasonably priced due to the amount of food. I loved the ambiance. Very small town feel and small. The servers are extremely nice and it is family owned. Will definitely be back tomorrow morning!

We got here around 1:30 pm just in time for some lunch. As I turned my head to the right, asking what we should eat, we all said "PIEbar" together. Jinx. It's just the perfect little cafe. It's bright yellow so it catches your eye. A line of people waiting to order at the front door was moving fast. Parking is right off the highway and in front of the restaurant. There's also additional parking behind the restaurant down the hill. Stairs come straight up to patio from the lower lot. Beautiful patios surround the restaurant with shaded tables. Gorgeous Ivy covered pines and oaks cover the patio areas. Two gender neutral restrooms available in a separate small building next to the restaurant. I love how the menus are written and posted everywhere and list empanadas in order by popularity. Another thing I appreciate is the size of the empanada and the price. They are small enough and inexpensive enough that you could get a snack but if you wanted to get, let's say five or six because you're hungry for lunch it is still affordable. Service was so friendly and great as we ordered at the counter. I couldn't believe how quickly the ordering process went and we were handed a bag of warm empanadas before we knew it. We ordered: - 1 SAVORY Empanada - The Mountain Man Empanada - sausage, potato gravy, cheese (most popular) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Chicken Pot Pie empanada (second most popular) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Picadillo Beef Empanada - shaved beef, diced potato, green chiles, onion, cilantro, tomato, garlic (I got this one and it's #1 in my book) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Artichoke Dip Empanada (meatless) daughter said this was very good - 1 SWEET Empanada - Apple/Dulce de Leche - warm and yummy! We all split this for dessert. The pastry / shell is very tasty and doesn't taste like some I've tried other places with an artificial taste. It's flaky and filling. Handheld size. Perfect for taking on the go. Each empanada placed in a waxed paper sleeve. They've got a few different very tasty dipping sauces as well. We tried the Creamy Green Chile & Pepita Sauce (mild) and the Chipotle Lime Aioli (mild). Very good flavors and fresh.

They don't really have time to be personable when you've got 15 people in line and more walking up. You kinda gotta get things done.....No rudeness just a busy place and people trying to get things handled to serve their customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. I don't have a problem with that. As for the food, we got five different savory empanadas, and several of their sweet and really the only one that I found not good at all was the pecan, it was very dry and just had a weird texture and flavor that I would not have expected.. All of the savory empanadas were amazing. They are small and premium priced but in a small little touristy area like that, it's what you expect, I'm sure they have to bring in all their product and that means driving and there's extra transportation cost. They don't have a Costco in their backyard so I understand the price is being a little higher, but I didn't feel that they were out of line. Overall, four out of five it's a little tiny open air place, and they are making their empanadas very rapidly baking them and then putting them and holding ovens the temperatures could've been a little higher on the ones that we got that's the only negative that I saw but overall worth stopping in

This charmingly cozy cabin welcomed us in with a heavenly scent and an absolutely adorable aesthetic that instantly made us feel at home. My husband ordered the iced Shroomy Mocha, while I opted for the hot Spicy Chai. Taste-wise, I'm not someone who typically likes--or even tolerates--the flavor of mushrooms, but I was intrigued enough to try it. I don't recall which mushroom was used in the chai, as it was a recommendation from the barista. While the chai latte did have a slightly different flavor profile than the chai from my favorite local shop, it was beautifully balanced with a gentle note of earthiness that was not at all reminiscent of mushrooms. Both drinks were well crafted, delicious, and hit all the right notes. The service was friendly and welcoming, with light conversation and thoughtful answers to my questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Now for the fun part: the retail!
