Early Bird Cafe is a homey gem that's worth the short wait, even on a busy Saturday! Despite the long line, our party of 7 got seated in about 15-20 minutes. The inside is a lot bigger than you think when you're waiting outside. Lots of tables and booths to accomodate small and big parties. The service was friendly and timely. The menu serves classic diner fare. While there weren't strict vegan options, there were plenty of vegetarian ones to pick from. Opting for the omelette loaded with spinach and two types of cheese, the flavors were good, although the cheese was a bit copious for my taste. The accompanying pancake stole the show--huge, fluffy, and absolutely delicious! I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.
