I was originally enticed when I saw the Sriracha hollandaise, but the Pork Belly was burnt and dry, the skilled potatoes where especially oily, and the poached egg was unexpectedly very petite. The Dutch Waffle was nothing too special, but dry, overcooked, and lacked a lot of what makes a waffle good: fluff. As for the service, I wouldn't recommend sitting outside because they may or may not forget about you even when there is a group of employees standing around the register (unmasked). Perhaps I ordered the wrong dishes, but I do not see myself coming back here after this experience over mediocre brunch. read more

I have always heard about Early Bird--about how the food is reaaaally good. The food is definitely delicious, but it is also really expensive as any usual brunch place would be. I came with a party of 8 total, so we had to wait a while until we were seated. I don't think it's worth waiting in line for if you are super hungry like I was. The food took a while to come out, and it didn't come out altogether. I was the last person to receive my meal since I was the last to order. I guess that is expected since they are busy. I got the smoked salmon waffle, and it was so good. However, I also had a revelation that I could just make this at home. If I was picking a brunch place to eat, I would not choose to eat here. This has always been my favorite brunch spot since they had their seasonal pumpkin spice waffles. The portions are always so generous and well balanced. They make their hash browns the way I love the-- stuffed and crispy. The service is pretty great seeing that their relatively pretty busy. Every same server always checks up on you but not to the point of bothering you. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. Can't say anything about the food. We didn't even get a chance to eat here. My party and I checked in online for a friend's birthday online (party of 7). Our reservation was made an hour in advanced for a 12:25 reservation. We were here checked in on time, but they notified us that their system was down and they had 3 families before us. We waited for 45 minutes and noticed others in a smaller party barely arriving and getting seated right away. When we brought this to the staff's attention, what appeared to be the manager or owner told us that they "probably already checked in before" and that "if we had told them we were willing to split our party, our wait would've been shorter". Which would we would have been okay with if they told us that was an option to begin with. But we had already been already waiting for over an hour just to wait another hour to be split? They had other tables that hadn't been cleaned that could've been cleaned to accommodate our party, but that wasn't even done to assist us. So, we ended up leaving because they kept taking others in who had just arrived and didn't offer any further solution or apology to us. All I can say is if that's how they treated us before we even got a chance to dine there, then I can't say much to recommend this business. The wait times on yelp is fairly accurate, and I highly recommend checking in on yelp prior to your arrival. Once we got seated, our waitress was attentive in giving us menus and drinks (we both ordered coffee). The restaurant itself is quaint and cozy, not too big. Most tables seat 2-4 and are quite close to each other. I got the frank floyd benedict with house potatoes. The poached eggs sit on top of salmon, spinach and portabella mushroom. I liked the idea of the portabella mushroom instead of the English muffin for a lighter fare. The eggs were perfectly poached, and to my surprise, the salmon paired nicely with the mushroom (I was a bit hesitant on how they would dance together). The house potatoes were like cut fingerling potatoes and were seasoned nicely (it was a bit greasy though). My friends and family can confirm my loyalty to this restaurant, so it saddens me to write my poor and negative experience this morning. I've sent them a complaint through their website this morning but haven't heard back -15 hours later so I've resorted to writing a yelp review. UPDATE: 3 days later and no email reply. Mhmm, have no regrets writing this Yelp review. As Ari would say, "Thank you, next." My parents and I walked in and there was a sign saying that it was open seating so we chose an empty table. After sitting on the chairs, we realized it was extremely cold and decided to move towards the cushiony area of the restaurant where our behinds wouldn't be freezing to death. The table towards the corner wasn't cleared yet so I asked one of the servers if she could clear it for us, which she said she would. Our party sat down and waited for them to clear the table. Our server: "Porshia" (made sure this was her name as I found her name on their IG handle) came to take our orders but at that point our table was still messy, as only the dishes were cleared out and remnants of the previous customer still remained. She took our coffee order and I asked her if she could wipe down the tables for us, as any normal customer would. PORSHIA's loud response to my simple request, as I remember it: "Yeah, I was going to but you guys couldn't have waited for me to clear the tables until you sat down?" A couple of minutes after her rude response, my dad asked to speak to the manager to which one of the male servers said they weren't available. At this point the workers caught on to the situation and changed our server (thank goodness). However, we didn't receive an apology until I confronted our new server: Cassidy, towards the end of our meal but never formally received an apology from the manager nor Porshia. I didn't know it was such an appalling request to clear our tables, but she obviously took it personally. It was clearly our mistake to stay after such a disappointing response because we won't be coming back ever again. So save your time and money and go elsewhere because their service will drive you out their doors real quick. read more

I've heard that the wait is long, but worth the wait. My party of 8 had made reservations online through the Yelp app. Keep in mind, they will not seat you, unless your ENTIRE party is present. We were waiting for over an hour, but again, worth the wait! One of the workers gave us the heads up that our party of 8 may be separated into two tables. We weren't too fond of the idea, hence waiting for an extra 10-15 mins. As we got seated, a kind gentleman gave us complimentary waffles for waiting, which was totally unexpected! Love how generous they were being already! I crave sweets so when I saw the churro waffle, had to get it. Alongside, ordered the Benedict sampler.
