Umm, no thanks. I really didn't like this place but you are more than welcome to try it. I don't think the eggs are real. They are more than likely powdered eggs. Yuck! Me and Twin A are pretty particular about our eggs. These were subpar. You could fix a better breakfast at home. My husband mentioned that their omelet was good and maybe that was fixed with real eggs. Who knows. Either way, I am not going back. Our server was nice though. :)

A great breakfast cafe experience. Took a southern omelette to go. Inviting atmosphere with the skyline prints on the walls. Friendly staff. Looking forward to going back and trying some different foods.

Welcome to a quaint little gem hidden off Fry Road! I've seen this place on Yelp plenty of times but wasn't sure about the food. Honey let me tell you!!!! The pictures ABSOLUTELY do no justice! I ordered the Philly Omelet. Baby you owe it to yourself to try it! You can be a big back and get the half order of waffles with it, but you'll be too full to enjoy anything other than a NAP! The girls were also extremely friendly when I picked up my order. Service with a smile! The only thing that hide my heart was that they didn't sell those onion rings in the side!!!! I'll be back for a dine in experience soon! Save me some onion rings!

Such a cute little restaurant and our waitress was so sweet. 10/10 service. I ordered the Country Fried Steak & Eggs.. I was a little nervous because it can be easy to mess up but it was cooked nicely. Not tough at all. Simple and satisfying. My husband ordered pancakes which he devoured so I'll assume they were good too. Definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try.

This was my second time here. First time, it was pretty busy on a Friday with lots of big parties from the surrounding schools. It was most likely the teachers. I decided to regroup and come back the next week. It's a small place but packs quite a punch. People are very nice here. I went with the stuffed French toast and added a side of bacon. They don't skimp on the bacon like some places. You get four slices. The coffee was nice and strong which is what you want with a nice breakfast. The French toast was delicious. It didn't need syrup obviously as it was sweet enough. The server did recommend some other menu items to try when I visit next time....which I definitely will.

Was looking for a sit in breakfast and I am so happy we found this place! The food was so good! I got eggs Benedict, my husband got the omelette and we shared waffles with berries. The service was great and friendly and the place looked great. I liked the cafe decor. My only concern is the smell of grease. My clothes smelled so bad after. Not sure if their vents aren't working properly but it was heavy. Other than that food was great and the lady serving was very helpful and friendly.

I found The Early Riser Cafe on instagram. They are located in Katy on N.Fry Rd past West Little York. Augustine was my server and made sure I was well taken care of. I ordered Eggs my way which was over easy eggs, hash browns and nice crispy bacon. I also had coffee and orange juice. The food was prepared very much to my liking, very tasty. I throughly enjoy the meal and service and will definitely come again.

I found Early Riser Cafe after a very brief search of breakfast spots in Katy. After watching a cold soccer game, I wanted a great country style breakfast that was heavy on comfort. This place met my desires offering meals with mini pancakes as an option other than toast. I absolutely loved this offering since I wanted pancakes but wasn't ready to take on the huge size of a regular order. I had scrambled eggs, crispy potatoes, and sausage with my mini cakes. The meal was served hot from the griddle straight to the table with no waiting. If you're there with a group, ask for permission to start the meal before them since all of the food doesn't arrive at the same time. There was a lean staff that covered the room without anyone feeling neglected. The restaurant is small so high traffic may create a wait but do because it's well worth it.

The exterior is just as beautifully decorated. It's clear that chef-owner Lori Pope poured a lot of time, heart, and soul into both the menu and the store's design. The hostess was super friendly. As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Note: There's an automatic 15% service charge to every order.

She brought me my cinnamon roll after I asked for a refund, I relayed that message to granddaughter. My review reflects on her unwelcoming hostess mentioned.. I was also met with pages of messages on Instagram from their personal page after this review that I KINDLY responded to on how they no longer served us. Apparently you can't be open and honest on yelp without being banned from this restaurant. Lack of professionalism and ability to accept open criticism is clearly an issue & displayed here. Being labeled as much considering the close and friendly relationships I've had with the staff here is disappointing, disgraceful, and disrespectful. I will not longer be commenting on this as of 06/17/2026. 06/16/2026: I am a regular. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed my meal and/or experience here from start to finish here. Today was my last straw. The experience and food is noticeably different when chef Lori is not here. For $80 I expect my food to come fresh and delivered with the rest of the tables food. I don't expect to sit down for 10 - 15 minutes to then be notified they are out of what I ordered. I've sat down for an extra 5 - 10 minutes and I saw 10 empty tables with no line. The whole experience here has gone downhill and rapidly fast. To say the least, I will not consider myself a regular here anymore. I added an old picture because I really use to enjoy this place.

Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I enjoyed a beer with mine, which I know it sounds like an odd combination, but it worked quite well for me. Really this is a wonderful addition to Katy options for breakfast or brunch.

I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office.
