These guys have done some custom work for me before, but this is the first time I've given them one of my cars for a couple days to go whole hog. I went in looking for a louder horn than factory for my Toyota Corolla and Matthew kept insisting on a train horn. While I didn't want to do this at first, man am I glad I changed my mind. Originally we thought the air compressor and air tank would have to be mounted in the trunk, which I wasn't super excited about. I dropped by the day after I dropped it off just to see how it was going and the installer, Javier, took me to the back to discuss some installation options. He had already removed my front bumper cover and was showing me how he could get everything mounted under the front bumper cover if I wanted, but would require some custom work. BRILLIANT! I told him to go ahead and do it and couldn't be more excited for the end result. When I went to pick it up, it was amazing. Louder than I imagined and completely hidden. The pros at Earmark made driving in traffic enjoyable and the best part is, everything is completely hidden. If you give these guys a little bit of trust to customize your ride you will absolutely not be disappointed. A year and a half ago Earmark was recommended to me for a new car stereo. We got an install the same day I called. The salesman listened to me and sold me a stereo that exactly suited my needs. It wasn't cheap but he didn't try to upsell me into something I didn't want or need and couldn't afford. The salesman was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The installation was seamless. We left, entertained ourselves a couple hours, got a call to come back and it was done. A short demonstration later and we were on our way. I feel regretful I didn't leave a five star review then because it was deserved. Life got away from me. They continue to earn their five stars today; yesterday the stereo lost power, not sure why yet. One phone call and the gentleman asked some intelligent questions, searched up the transaction and a few minutes later I'm scheduled for Saturday. I called ahead to make an appointment to get my windshield tinted and asked specifically about COVID-19 precautions. Johnny indicated that they were following COVID-19 precautions. He mentioned that there would not be any other customers waiting during my service time, so I would have the waiting room to myself. When I went to my appointment, none of the employees were wearing masks. Also, the waiting room is an open area right next to the entrance, so not isolated. This would not normally be an issue, except the business obviously does not practice COVID-19 precautions such as wearing a face mask at all times inside the store. They should have been clear at the get-go that they were not following COVID-19 precautions when I inquired, instead of wasting my time during a work day to bring my car in. read more

I've passed by this location hundreds of times without knowing or caring what they did. However, recently purchasing a used car with a horrible sound system, I started searching. Earmark stood out for their service. So, I gave them a try and was not disappointed. I worked with Allan Johnson who helped me choose the proper wireless tuner, amp and woofer. While installing, they also noted a rat had chewed through several wires which attributed to issues I had with the car. They fixed those as well. I have a lifted 2017 Ford F-250, and wanted to have a top notch stereo installed. I had heard a lot of good things about Earmark Car Audio, as they have been in Plano for as long as I can remember. If you want the best of the best, do not go to Car Toys. Earmark has the best equipment, and tailors the system to exactly what you are looking for. Earmark solders all of their connections, which is the best way to prvcent future issues with bad connections. Anyone that has heard my system, is amazed, and says they have never heard anything as good. After my installation, I had to bring the vehicle back for minor adjustments. They were very happy to assist after the purchase, to ensure I was happy. Matt was my sales person. He is super cool, and always makes me feel like an important customer. Focal is the brand I went with, as far as speakers and amps go. I left the stock head unit. Definitely do the sound dampening as it makes a huge difference. I recommend getting a Sony Walkman as digital music sounds far better that radio or satellite radio. read more

My first visit was a little pricey to get my factory amp checked out. They did not fix it, but they were friendly and knowledgeable in how my amplifier got messed up. I decided to try them again when I wanted to install an amplifier and subs. They are not supposed to work on equipment they don't sell, since I was looking to go the cheaper route Chris was able to sell me all the wires and parts I needed and helped explain everything I needed in order to get a good quality sound system. He even went as far as printing me the factory wire diagram. Overall a bit pricey, but what car installation place isn't, but the guys are great, and are willing to do what it takes for professional/friendly customer service. read more

Price seemed astronomically high, and when I asked for an itemized list to see costs associated (parts/labor) he replied "No we don't do that... You already told me you might order all the parts yourself and I'm NOT gonna give you a grocery list". Then he stood there in silence. Are you kidding me?!? These guys are on spot with quality and customer service. The Llumar Stratos tint can only be found here in all of Dallas and their price beats the dealer in Ft Worth! The Stratos tint makes my car so cool that I only have to keep my AC fan on the lowest speed and it's 85 out! Matthew did an amazing job setting me up, keeping great communication with me and the tech did an impeccable job installing front windshield, all side windows and moonroof. Johnny at their front desk seems to think he can say whatever condescending remarks he wants to customers without repercussions! I've watched this place get run into the ground since he started. I've been lied to and spoken to in the worst major way from him. It's sad it's come to this because this place used to be about quality and customer service but now I wouldn't bother giving them a single dollar for the way they treat their customers and it starts right at their front desk interfacing with this tool named Johnny! He actually bragged about how much more he charges the customers now! There is no reason to talk down to customers the way he does like he is Earmark himself. After sharing my experience on their FB page they blocked me so I'd have to assume Johnny has access to that on the facebook group because what decent business would do that without following up with the customer that has reported these concerns. read more

Went here for tint - price was a little higher than the competition but they had openings the same day which is why I selected them. In terms of the tint - they did a great job from what I can see. The thing that I didn't like is that they under estimated the time by several hours which was the reason why I came in to them versus their competitors as it seemed like it would be a quick job to tint just my front two windows. Sales Rep was overall nice & knowledgeable. He tried to upsell me on speakers and getting tint to the rest of the car but wasn't overly pushy. I have used them in the past to install my blackvue dash cam - same experience around good install but considerably higher than average prices if you shop around. read more

Matthew set me up with tint on my 2018 430i for a really reasonable price. I am extremely happy with the install. If you know anything about tinting BMWs, you know that the microdots in the windows are a pain to deal with, and the 4 series seems to have more of them than any of their other cars. After 4 days, the tint seems to be adhering to the dots more nicely than any of the tint jobs I've had done at other shops on my previous cars. I had them do 15% Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle tint on the rear windows, 30% on the front side windows, and 80% Llumar Air on the sunroof and front windshield. WOW. The product is excellent, it really rejects heat. The install on the front window is especially impressive given how difficult it can be to install tint without any type of haze. After a few days, lights through the front window are perfectly clear at night and you can only really tell the tint is there if you're looking at an extreme angle, it really appears perfectly clear. I've heard horror stories about tint on the front windshield; overall I'm really glad that I listened to Matthew's suggestion to have the windshield done as well. They also do impressive jobs installing paint protection film; it's a little pricy but I am seriously considering bringing my car back to have it installed. read more

Normally, I'd have done this myself...but with the cash spent on the nice "new to me" 2015 Lexus, I didn't want to mess up my really nice interior. So I came to Earmark to have them hide the power cord for my dash cam. Was easy to setup the appointment and they explained the costs involved and what parts would be needed. The coolest thing was, they didn't do any wire cutting/splicing/soldering. Just used a 12v power outlet that plugs into a fuse socket. Power cord is now hidden and the car looks even better now without that silly power cord hanging from the mirror. Great job and great service provided! read more

I took my 2014 Jeep Wrangler in a few weeks ago to discuss some options for a sub and an amplifier. I wasn't very knowledgeable about how it would all work and the options I had with the limited space in the back of my Jeep. I come here every so often just to swing by and say hey to the employees since they're so chill (Both Chris' especially). The pricing for what you're getting is great too. This earmark is phenomenal. Worse Service Ever - Was completely Ripped off. Paid $600 cash for a part that took 6 months to get in and set up for service than after having my BMW 2 days I call only to be told to come get my car they can't successfully install the part the insured would work. So I go to pick up my BMW I askew for my refund and they cannot provided it at this time because they don't have the funds available to do. I'll have to wait on a check someday. I tried to speak to the owner only to get further frustrated and realize the person I was speaking with was and idiot and a shyster. I have a custom hot rod milk truck, and I wanted to be able to listen to my R Kelly at full volume, but don't want to have a faceplate, because my iPhone is the best DJ I know. I went in to see these guys and we came up with exactly what I wanted - an amplifier designed for marine use with bluetooth connection to an iPhone (or any other bluetooth mo3 player) and all i ended up being able to see was the control knob, which blends in discreetly.
