Prior to this installation I had to run the air near high quite often to cool down the interior. Thanks so much for installing this tint on my car. Tony and his wife Lisa were who we spoke with and who worked on our Model 3 (2021). Tony himself was the actual installer and to say he went "above and beyond" is an understatement. First off, they were able to get us a great deal for the top-of-the-line XPEL XR Plus tint on all glass surfaces. This meant they did all the windows, the glass roof, even the windshield itself - apparently they are able to put an almost clear layer so it doesn't impact visibility that also still manages to block out a TON of heat. Second, when they first checked over the vehicle, they found a handful of flaws I had not seen (we had just gotten the vehicle only days before deciding we wanted to get tint installed before the summer really kicked off), and showed us before ever getting started to put us at ease with how they were going to handle the vehicle and let us know up front of any issues they found. Third, when Tony got to work, he actually noted that at some point some of the paneling had been hastily re-set into place, and was not correctly re-installed... so he took it upon himself to properly correct the issue, bending fasteners that were not correctly attached into their intended positions... meaning when they gave us the car back, not only was the tint installed perfectly, but the car was technically in even better shape than when we picked it up directly from Tesla's own shop in Dallas since now all the internal panels had been fastened as designed from the factory itself! They even registered the warranty for the XPEL tint so we didn't have to worry about any sort of future coverage should any issues occur with the film itself. In the past, I've gone with other tinters and I've had issues come up years later with peeling, cracking, and tearing, but I have a feeling that this is not going to be happening with Tony's work. I don't think we'll be going anywhere else but Tony's from now on. Now we just need to get a time where we can be without the vehicle for a few more days so we can get PPF + Ceramic coating installed on the body. In summary, if you want your vehicle tint installed professionally by some hard-working honest folks who know their craft really well and care about quality - go see Tony and his wife Lisa.

Before we found Sonrise, even with the AC blaring in our car, it was still super hot in the car. And certainly when we first get in the car, all the touch points were scorching hot. Our toddler would be fussy and upset and complain constantly that her back was hot in the carseat. We searched for window tint companies and found Sonrise. We made a phone call and Steven was quick to answer. He thoroughly gave me an education on the different kinds of materials available and the pros to each material choice. He answered all my questions and concerns and was super accomodating to our schedule since we needed to tint two cars. On the day of the work, he showed us the different shades and explained what it would look like in the evening time with each tint darkness. He helped us pick out the right shade of tint for our cars. And even showed us how the front windshield they use a helpful visual. He tiend on a lught that imitated solar energy. And showed us a meter showing the read. And how with the front windshield tint they use it drastically lowers the solar energy allowed in the car. It's been 4 days since our windows and front and back windshields got tinted. We definitely experience a drastic difference in getting back in a parked car. It is way cooler. Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work! One thing you need to have handy to get an estimate are the measurements of the windows. Good thing my house windows are the same sizes which made the whole process easier. The only thing that was not the same size was the patio door. When I talked with James, he replies very fast and very friendly as well. He does an onsite consultation and gets the exact measurements, but unfortunately, I had to work during the week and no internet at the home yet and then of course all my belongings were still in California. However, he did mail me a package of tint to take a look at and all prices are the same no matter what you choose. I decided not to look anywhere else and just went with this company. The prices were great. I had my windows tinted in California and I paid 3 times as much, but then again I did have more windows too. The installer came the following week and got done within 5-6 hours as I had 13 windows to tint. The thing that made the process fast was everything was precut and ready to go and all I had to do was give them the measurements. I am sure I was probably off a little, but they managed to make the windows perfect. Overall, for great prices, awesome service and excellent feel for the house. Well money spent especially for the Texas heat. I will put in pictures later.

Wanted to upgrade the radio I had in my jeep and went and talked to Chris at the Plano store. Store was very busy and Chris kept reassuring us that he would be with us in a few( which was great as I was totally ignored at Car Toys). He showed me the different head units and did not push the most expensive but suggested the one that would fit my needs the best. Since we were auditioning a new radio, I really liked some of the speakers and well Chris seized the opportunity to create a complete system that sounds awesome and without breaking the bank. One nice thing was that I was actually able to audition all the different amp speaker and sub combos ( Car Toys could not do that for me as their display was non functioning) and recommending which would sound best in the jeep not just what was the most expensive to push. The install guys are very professional and did a job that was second to none. Sure the labor is expensive but when you let them do their magic you will be very pleased in the end. This was a very painless experience and now I have a jeep that I just love to listen to. I can listen to the music with top off at highway speeds and the sound is crystal clear. This was my first experience at Earmark Car Audio. At other stores, I could not get someone who would explain things to me. I was disappointed until I went to Earmark in Plano, TX and met Chris the Sales Manager. He took his time answering all my questions. I had a list of updates for my 2004 SUV, but I wasn't sure if my older SUV would support the newer equipment. First, I decided to get new tinting for my SUV. They had a nice selection of high-performance tint to choose from. The A/C was never able to keep the car at a comfortable temperature because of the heat coming through the glass. I was surprised to learn that tinting can be put on the windshield where most of the heat comes in. This update made an amazing difference in how fast the car cools down. I updated my 2004 SUV with side sensors, rear sensors, a backup camera and a new radio/monitor. The installation was fast and professional. Chris was so knowledgeable on all the equipment. I liked that there was a large selection to choose from in various price ranges. I am so pleased with the new equipment added to make my car safer. read more

I am very impressed with Earmark as a business, and with Mathew as a sales rep. I have been doing business with Earmark for a number of years, bought radios, radar detectors, and window tint from them. The window tint on my 1997 Oldsmobile eighty eight had deteriorated over the years to the point I could not easily see out of my back or left side window. I had bought the tint at the same time I had purchased a new radio from Earmark in Plano, but could not find my original receipt or warranty card from 2003 although I did have the receipt on my radio and speakers. I remembered being told at the purchase time that it had a lifetime warranty. I called Earmark and Mathew answered. I explained the situation and he immediately was able to find my purchase record from 2003, 15 years ago, and Mathew then scheduled the earliest appointment available for the repair. I am truly amazed that Earmark not only honored the warranty, but also replaced my back window and put new tint on it also. All of this for no charge. Truly an exceptional business! These guys know their sh*t!!! I took my 2007 MB to Car Toys to inquire about upgrading the audio system. After asking the year and model of my vehicle, they shot out an astronomical estimate. They clearly didn't want my business. And it was due to the fact that they did not possess the competency to deal with the complex fiber optic system that MB used in my model vehicle. They told me that it wouldn't be worth upgrading to a 3rd party system, and that I should check with MB to see if they might be able to suggest a factory unit. When I went to Earmark, one of the first things Todd mentioned was the complex fiber optic system... and what parts he'd need to order to get the job done. I was floored. He actually knew exactly what he needed to do to get my vehicle's audio system up to par. He was knowledgeable when it came to my options, made a few suggestions, and got me an estimate straight away. On budget, on schedule, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I would not hesitate for one second in recommending Earmark to anyone. read more

Bunch of work Window tint, protection wrap, stinger vip install These guys did a great job! No high pressure sale, knowledgeable about various products and their pro's and cons. I figure any tint shop can do a good job on windows, no complaints here. Excellent install with the paint protection wrap. They wrap it not just to the edge like many, but under the edges so you basically can't see or feel an edge. Likewise, a great job on my stinger vip system (radar and laser). Even though they were not experienced with stinger, they worked with them to determine the optimal sensor locations and did a first class job of custom bracket fab (where needed) and cable runs. After completion I wanted a change in the display location which they did quickly and at no extra charge. My only bitch was they failed to tell me about the cash discount until check out.., oh well, I forgive you Matt. this place is the best. i went to 2 other shops one big chain store that nobody knew what they were talking about and one little shop down the street and those guys were the most overpriced and arrogant dudes. Earmark offered to hook me up with a system for even less money than i told them i could spend when i said I only had 2 thousand. but check this out earmark has financing so i only had $2000 to spend and after earmark got me approved for their MESA financing i got a crazy system done. i admit it i spent a lot more than i thought i was going to spend but earmark makes it so easy lol. these guys are cool they got me approved for $8K credit so i kept my money in my pocket and got a badass system and a radar detector and window tints! now i know why Earmark been around for like 40 years cuz they know how to treat people and they got the best brands and the best installers. read more

I worked for Earmark for 7 yrs back in the '90s. They were the best back then and they still are today. I have continued to take my cars there long after I left to pursue other endeavors. They are the only place I would let touch my vehicles. I just took delivery on my 2018 Mustang GT350 last week and brought it to the shop yesterday to have the ceramic window film installed. Odin got the schedule worked out to where I'd be the first appointment, Chris took care of me when I dropped the car off and Alan did a superb job installing the film. Overall, I've had at least 5 different vehicles worked on at Earmark for various things from audio to window film. They are the best in the business. Both the Owner "Chris" and Mathew were fantastic! I recently purchased a 1997 BMW Z3 and the car's radio just really needed to be replaced. Mathew assisted me in selecting a high quality Kenwood radio...that was suited for my BMW. Mathew and Chris scheduled me to have them install my radio the next morning @ 9:00 am. Took only 1-1/2 hours. After they had completed the work, Chris & one of the mechanics checked me out on the radio. Chris sat in the car with me and programmed it for me and explained all of the features of this Kenwood radio...he was extremely knowledgeable about this product and very personable. I have done business with Earmark in Plano for 15 years and I would recommend them to anyone. Very knowledgable and their installers do top notch work! And their prices are competitive with anyone. These guys have always taken care of me and treated me like I was important to them, even when I wasn't buying anything at the moment. They are locally owned and operated and the employees and management truly seem to care about their customers. Matthew Sutton has been working with me and helping me regardless of my route for purchase. I am currently going through breast cancer treatments and I need to get my stereo fixed in my 2015 Chevy Malibu, it recently broke. I figured if i am going to replace it, i mine as well get better technology! I am working with him to go over all the things I need, I don't need, and what's best and what's not. Excellent service, expert staff. I have done business with several Earmark stores over the past 20 years, and I highly recommend them. Earmark Plano installed a complete audio system in several of my vehicles and I always received good service, fair prices and expert installation. Most recently I had a navigation radio, backup camera, amplifier, speakers and subwoofer system installed and it turned out perfect. This place is the real deal! Johnny helped me through the entire process of getting Llumar Stratos tint installed on my A4. The tint has performed beyond expectations and the install was flawless. No bubbles, lint, hair, scratches, etc. are visible. Simply amazing! In addition, I had AL Priority parking sensors installed as well. They did some custom work and everything turned out just the way I wanted it and they perform awesome! I've seen some negative reviews on here regarding price. I went into Earmark because of their reputation, and they worked with me to deliver exactly what I wanted. I have a 370z and didn't want to do the install myself so gave earmark a try. Chris (the salesman) and Javi (the installer) did an amazing job (actually had to have some stereo stuff pulled and replaced in the process because I wanted to upgrade from original components I had them put in) on the tent, the stereo, the sound damping, and even helped me tune and configure everything after. They got hands free audio, steering wheel controls, BT, and all the extras knocked out for me too. Completely hidden install so my shit doesn't get jacked. Was a good experience overall. read more

I bought a 2005 Corvette with the original radio/GPS head unit. I researched high and low to find the right deal for me. There were lots and lots of choices between installers and and radios that would fit my car. Earmark was the next to last company I evaluated (out of 10-12 companies). I really had pretty much decided on another company when I went in to their store. That's when the whole process blew up! These guys really know their stuff. These guys are super great! I recently had the windows tinted on my Chevy Tahoe, and the workmanship, along with their professionalism at Earmark in Plano, is certainly first class! I went back to Earmark in Plano a few months later, and had them window tint my moonroof, and wow, what a HUGE difference in the amount of (reduced) heat and sunlight, coming into my vehicle! I can now drive, without having to wear my welding goggles! I would highly recommend Earmark in Plano to anyone looking for very high quality window tinting and stereo products! Marine Audio Install Joe came out and took the time to look at what I wanted and gave me more than 1 option for my stereo setup. We went over what the different options were for my boat, the style of music that I like to listen to, what volume level is normally played and what options I want to have. The installation of stereo equipment was top notch! I recently moved back to the Dallas area and was sure to get my windows tinted before summer. I spoke with Chris at Earmark Plano who was very informative and helped me decide on the Stratos window tint with the Air 80 windshield film. I couldn't be more satisfied! I purchased my first car audio gear from Earmark in 1986. Over almost 4 decades, Earmark has been the benchmark for high quality car stereo, video, security and remote start, radar detectors and all things mobile electronics. Had a little issue with film that was applied to the bumper on my 2016 Porsche Cayman GTS. I called and talked to Matthew Sutton to see what I needed to do. He asked me to bring the Porsche in right away. I did that same afternoon. Matthew looked at it and said it was definitely a warranty issued and if I could leave my Porsche with him for a few days, he would get it replaced. I did and he did a great job getting the new film installed. They have provided tint on several of my cars as well as the film on my Cayman. I highly recommend them. Young S. read more

While I love the more authentic feel and thunderous sounds of my latest car, I have to admit that the stock infotainment system while functional left much to be desired. To enhance the whole ownership experience, I decided to update my new car with the installation of an aftermarket CarPlay circuit board as well as front & rear parking cameras like I've done for one of my other less tech-oriented, track-focused German cars. Given this, I asked the selling specialty car dealership in Dallas to help facilitate all this since I was traveling abroad immediately after the purchase of my car. My new car was taken to The Steele Shop where they highly recommended going with their RDVFL CarPlay circuit board installation. They said that they are an official RDVFL dealer & certified installer. I originally wanted a Mr12Volt CarPlay board, but The Steele Shop touted that their RDVFL option was better and had a robust 3-year Warranty. The RDVFL board they were recommending costed nearly double the price of a Mr12Volt but since it was so highly praised by The Steele Shop, I trusted them. Paired with the installation of front & rear Rydeen cams (which they marked up nearly double the MSRP), the whole project was double what I had recently paid to have done on one of my other cars. But in the interest of time, I impulsively gave The Steele Shop the green light to go ahead with the costly install. I told myself that if the end result was as good as they said it would be, then I would be okay with the extra expense on my new dream car. Since this review is getting way too long, let's cut to the chase on how everything ultimately went down. During the actual installation by The Steele Shop, my car's air bag system and some of the proprietary infotainment harness clips were broken. This was actually just the tip of the iceberg. After the car was delivered to me, I immediately discovered that the ENTIRE infotainment system was no longer working. The system would turn on briefly, start glitching and then power itself off after 3 minutes. In addition to this, the brand new front and rear cameras worked briefly for a few days before completely losing all function. After multiple attempts to get The Steele Shop to address this, they unbelievably resorted to just ignoring the matter. With no functional infotainment system, I had no choice but to take my car to the local manufacturer's dealership for formal diagnosis. After pulling out the infotainment system, the mechanics told me that the system's internal hard drive had been fried, the internal CD-DVD drive had also been broken, and the factory navigation system's software had somehow been corrupted. They said they had never encoutered so much damage on a single infotainment system before. Given this, they said that the entire $5K system needed to be replaced. Long story short, this was ultimately done. As much of a painful hassle as it was to get my entire infotainment system replaced on my new car, the newly installed front and rear cams were still not working. With The Steele Shop completely ghosting me, I was forced to take my car to another local Car Audio-Video installer. This other shop ultimately diagnosed that there was faulty wiring of the power supply to both front and rear cams. I had to pay a couple hundred dollars for them to rewire the cams and get them back into an operational state. After all the after effects of The Steele Shop's nightmare installation were finally fixed through a massive amount of time, money and extra work, I wanted to get a partial refund from The Steele Shop on purely just the defective RDVFL CarPlay circuit board they sold me and the couple hundred dollars I had paid to get the cameras rewired. Given their total lack of ownership on all that had happened, I didn't want to even bother asking for more than this. But considering that I had already paid them literally thousands for absolutely nothing that worked, I felt that at minimum The Steele Shop would have the integrity to give me the partial refund I requested. After all, they were the ones that had touted the quality of their work and the 3-year Warranty that was supposed to come with the RDVFL CarPlay board they had installed. But in the end, I was just further ghosted with absolutely ZERO compensation...Not a cent...Not even an apology for the mess they caused. With all the positive Yelp reviews they had garnered pre-2022, I somehow expected more. I feel horrible leaving bad reviews, but others deserve to be warned when it is absolutely warranted.

This is more of a high-end shop they had an Aston Martin inside and a Ferrari. A really nice and clean shop, they also had Apple TV in the waiting area. They use more top quality high-end products and provide quality install and service. Jim was installing my alarm system on my 94 bronco and did a great job, he worked on the truck till 9 o'clock at night when they close at six, so thank you Jim! Pricing is fair a bit on the higher end but I'm willing to pay for quality installation and service. Overall very happy with my experience, I highly recommend this shop.

They removed interior pieces during the install and put them back together horribly -- trim not clipped in, panels loose, and some parts not properly reinstalled at all. It looked rushed and careless, like they had no respect for the customer's vehicle. A shop that can't stand by their word and can't even put a car's interior back together properly should not be trusted with anyone's vehicle. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else
