I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the repeated service issues I have experienced with my 2023 GMC Canyon at Earnhardt Buick GMC in Mesa. This is the third time I have brought my truck in over the past two years, and each visit has involved significant delays and poor communication: Radiator hose leak repair - This took nearly 6 weeks to complete. Transmission shifting issue - I waited close to 7 weeks for updates and was told the technician had an emergency and left. The vehicle was returned about 4 weeks later. When I picked it up, it had been left outside for an extended period and was extremely dirty, to the point that visibility through the windshield was difficult. I had to immediately take it to a car wash. Tailgate compartment water leak - I brought the truck in for inspection, and I was told the compartment door needed to be replaced and would be ordered. It has now been approximately 5 weeks with no update. I have called, left messages, and sent three texts to the service advisor with no response. At this point, the lack of communication and repeated delays are not acceptable. I understand that parts and repairs can take time, but the absence of updates and inability to reach anyone is very frustrating. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I made an appointment three weeks in advance to have my car temperature gauge and or thermostat checked out because on occasion the temperature gauge wouldn't show no temperature and the air conditioner would not work as well. After talking to a tech they suspected the same as I did it was a thermostat That needed to be replaced. I took the car in the night before my three week appointment and dropped it off. I was given an estimate of $900-$1000. I checked late Saturday afternoon and to see what the progress was and I was told by one check advisor check that was working on my Auto wasn't working that Saturday. I don't know why my tech when I talk to him didn't tell me he wouldn't be in and as a result, I had to rent a car for three days until Monday when could put the thermostat in. I was called Monday afternoon and said that the thermostat they had was damaged and apparently they don't check their parts once they receive them to see if it's what they ordered and if it's the correct item and in good shape. So they had to get another thermostat somewhere else from another dealer. Not until Tuesday morning they decided it was time to put the thermostat in and I was told it's a five hour job so when I went to pay the bill, my bill was over $1200 because the thermostat cost so much I was told to be about $800 labor seven something like that and as a result I had to. One more day to pick it up on Tuesday costing me $292 to rent a car for some of their screw ups. I asked if there was a possibility of a way that since they took them five days to do a one day job that they would give me a little discount to help compensate for having to a car for four days. came to an end. The check got kind of in my face and was telling me he told me this and that and everything and it was not their fault and they can't do and I said to him that I that Customer Service is certainly nothing you guys care about and the customer is last here. He said oh no, we take care of our customer customers. Can help me out because your delays in your problems cost me an extra hundred dollars for Carr rental. We aren't gonna do that so I told them in front of the counter for the you pay your bills and the other people standing around, I said I will come to this dealership ever again and I'm going to let everyone know about my experience. You can find better dealerships everywhere else. In fact, my GMC dealership in Wyoming is absolutely fabulous and they do everything they can to try to keep their customers. And well satisfied. So use them at your own expense. I'm not happy. NEVER in the 15 years that I have owned a car have I EVER dealt with such a headache with a company. I bought a BRAND new 2023 Buick encore and 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. My engine blew out 2 hours outside of Reno (in a brand new car) I had to tow my car to Reno and book a hotel AND pay over $2,000 for a rental car because Buick couldn't provide me a loaner vehicle (which is in my warranty). I am now a MONTH without a vehicle I am a nurse and NEED transportation for my job. NO ONE has helped me get into a loaner vehicle and keep suggesting I get a rental car I may or may not be reimbursed for. I cannot afford ANOTHER rental car and nor should I have to. THIS CAR IS BRAND NEW!!!!! WORST costumer service not only at this location but corporate included no one knows ANYTHING and keep handing me off to the next person who also knows nothing. They were quick to sell us the car, sign and take our money but something as simple as detailing the car even after the 2nd time we asked and dropped it back off couldn't be done. They sold us on a special paint and interior shield but never treated the car because it was filthy. At this point we are tired of driving back and forth and being without a car so it can just sit and they can give us the run around. Terrible experience again! The last time I was there I stood there while 4 men just stood at the counter talking to one another and refused to acknowledge me. This time we finally got an appointment for warranty work and dropped it off on Monday morning. We had to call several times and would never get an update. Meanwhile we are incurring rental charges. Finally Friday after sending a text and waiting on hold miraculously the vehicle would be ready to be picked up. Not one thing that we dropped it off for was fixed. They said they fixed the window and it wasn't, the wheels weren't sent to be fixed, they claimed to not be able to replicate two of the other things we dropped it off for even though other shops were able to. So they literally had my car a whole week and didn't do anything. It's in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off. Actually worse because the "fixed" window is actually slower. Do not buy the "Detail" plan, they simply wash your car and bring it out. Jackson's does a far better job on a car wash! Do not purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Unethical - scam artists. I just purchase a near $70k truck and they slipped in a hidden "VTR" $200 fee. I spoke with manager Gilbert Morales who was pompous and rude. He even had the audacity to state twice, that his main concern was that the proper forms were signed. He didn't care that a customer who just spent close to $70k was unhappy and felt swindled. He refused to refund this anti-theft insurance scam. Luckily, there are laws in NV to protect the consumer against shady auto dealerships so I'm confident I will be able to fight this and get back my $200 that was stolen. I should also add that they lied about Costco reaching out to me in order to receive a $300 gift card because I'm a member and Costco is currently running a "deal." I wasn't going to write anything about my bad experience from the start, but now with this $200 scam, I must mention how they also failed to install the GPS SD card for the land navigation system. Which forced me to drive all the way back across town to get it installed and setup. I also paid for "as close to limo tint" as they offer, which took 3.5 hours, only to barely even notice they installed tent. Frustrating. I bought a 2018 Chevy Silverado a couple weeks ago and the entire process was so weird to me which later then made sense. I flew in from California to pick up this truck because I am still in the process of moving. Bryan is in finance and was working up my deal. I called Bryan 72 hours before my arrival to see what terms I was going to be given. He never returned my calls. So here I am showing up to the dealership at 7:30pm at night without any idea on what the contract details are. Right when I get to the dealership, they walk me STRAIGHT to the financial office with the truck sight unseen. I finally speak to Bryan and he has the contract all written up with the terms already locked in. I asked why he hasn't returned my calls so we can discuss the numbers before I flew all the way in from Cali. He had no answer. Every time I suggested a small change in the contract, he would respond, "oh that will take awhile, we already have this all typed up. " I finally laugh and ask, "can I at least see the truck first before I sign all this?!" So now I am dealing with Mike (the salesman)... Mike knew nothing about this truck. He said, "I only know about Toyota's, they just sent me over here tonight randomly". Mike kept checking his watch and seemed eager to leave. I said I was sorry for keeping him and he responded, "it's okay, there is just a UFC fight on tonight that I'm trying to get to" So I finally look at the truck, I had to ask to turn it on. The truck is really nice, great looking vehicle. So I continue to sign the contract that I wasn't allowed to negotiate any terms at all. Which I wanted to see what I was getting into 2 days before flying in which Bryan failed to give me a call back. I signed the contract and drove to my friends place. The next day I begin to drive back to California and start messing with the buttons. I turn on the A/C and it REEKS OF SMOKE!!! This vehicle was previously smoked in and the staff failed to tell me. This is a very big deal! I would've never bought this truck knowing that. Mike had no idea which I understand cause he's usually over at Earnhardt Toyota. But come to find out, Tony (the sales manager) knew this whole time! This is Shady! This is something that needs to be brought to a buyers attention. After multiple phone calls back, they sounded so guilty . I asked for $2,000 in return and they counter offered $300. Haha. This is crazy. I called 15 different dealerships and asked if they disclosed that if a vehicle was smoked in. They said "yeah if you care about your reputation, but we usually auction off smoked in vehicles". At this point they sounded very submissive and they knew they were in the wrong. The $300 offer was comical and very disrespectful. Obviously supply is low across the entire car industry, however we did find some 2022 models that we wanted.. I was surprised at the dealership had a new 2021 model so I called to get price. They told me that the lowest they could go was $42k because they are charging a premium. I was shocked because other dealers with 2022 models were much lower. We ended up going to Tucson and buying 2022 with the same exact options for $35k. It's unfortunate that Earnhardt Buick GMC Mesa feels the need to price gouge and take advantage of the consumer. When I asked them to double check that they did not miss key any information on my trade, they told me they were not changing their stance. I went to their website and followed the prompts for their online buying process. Had me enter all of my personal information including drivers license, trade in details, home address, phone, etc. Took me about 30 min to complete. At the end of the "buying process", it calculated my payment due (based on the value of my trade in, determined through KBB using their online tool) and scheduled a "delivery" to my home address for Monday morning at 8am. I got a call 30 min later from the sales general manager that the total due was going to be $24k more than originally stated!!! How is this legal?? Classic bait and switch. "No bull", my a**! Thankfully, I was planning on doing a cash deal. If they had me go through the credit application process and ran my credit for this bull crap, we'd have significant problems.
