When I showed up for the appointment, I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait. When I asked the girl who checked me in, what's the purpose of making an appointment if I have to wait 2 hours? She offered to let me speak with the manager. I figured that there would probably be a wait time to do that also, so I took my car elsewhere. I've been a loyal Earnhardt Toyota customer for over 20 years. Have bought four Corollas in a row from them, the most recent two from this Superstition Springs dealership. I've also faithfully purchased all my parts and had all my maintenance performed without fail at their service department, believing it was the best thing for my car. And before yesterday I always thought they were honest and had my best interest at heart. Yesterday, my tire pressure light came on. I tried reading the pressure on them myself with my dinky pencil gauge, but they all seemed fine and I couldn't tell which one was the problem. So I brought it here since I wasn't sure if it was actually a tire problem or a malfunction with one of the pressure sensors. After having a technician look at it, the service advisor came out and said, "Bad news. There's a nail in a tire and it's not repairable. You need a new tire." Then he handed me a statement for an expensive tire. One thing I don't do is buy tires from a car dealer because they are always over-priced. I also know it's smarter to replace older tires in pairs, which would have doubled an expense I'm not financially prepared for. So, since it seemed to be a slow leak, I asked if they could air up the damaged tire enough for me to drive a couple of blocks to Discount Tire. I made it there and after looking at the tire they said, "We'll have it fixed for you in just a few minutes." Wait -- what? I thought the tire was not repairable! Toyota was just about to soak me for nearly $180 for one tire; twice that amount if I did the smart thing by purchasing two. I asked to see the nail damage and it was a clean puncture right in the middle of the tread. Even an amateur like me could tell it was perfectly fixable. True to their word, Discount Tire repaired the leak, rebalanced the tire before putting it back on the car, checked and adjusted the pressure on the remaining 3 tires, and had me safely back on the road in short order. This in spite of being busier than bees that day. And not only did they take good care of me, they didn't charge me a thing. Earnhardt Toyota Superstition Springs service department, why did you lie to me? Why could you not have treated me, a loyal customer, like Discount Tire did when they don't know me from Adam? You've destroyed my trust in you. I will never, ever come back to you again for service and will not buy my next car from this dealership. You've lost a long-standing loyal customer, all because you lied just to sell a tire. read more

I had the car about 7 months when the battery died .. according to Joe in service it was because my On-Star had an update and it was draining the battery.. ( Toyota doesn't have on-star) the amount of bullshit they talk is ridiculous. And corporate should be embarrassed . I continued to have problems with the battery going dead and had gone through 4 batteries in 3 years .. twice I took my car to Earnhardt (Joe in service ) asking and begging for a diagnostic on the car. There was something wrong,, something draining my battery... Service (Joe) insisted that it was my battery.. even patronized me for the kind of battery I had in the car. Actually told me he would NOT do any further diagnostic because he was absolutely positive that I had a bad battery ( Again). I took my car back to the dealer I purchased it from Right Toyota in Scottsdale, in fact there was a problem with the computer and yes it was draining the battery, but the battery wasn't the primary problem... Do Better Earnhardt, listen to your customer.. .. I will Never return to Earnhardt or refer anyone to Earnhardt. I even tried to call the service manager and couldn't get them to pick up the phone. I have to update my review after the wonderful experience I had with Earnhardt's service department today and yesterday. My gas cap unfortunately would not open Monday when I had no gas left. We called and immediately got a same day appointment, the people over the phone also helped direct us to the proper tow company so it could be covered under insurance. Today, I went to go pick up my car when a tech stopped me from driving away. He had heard a loud clicking and did not want me to leave the lot until it was fixed (absolutely stellar holding up safety standards). Ends up that I had a tire sensor in my actual tire. Earnhardt worked tirelessly all day today while they were busy to figure out what was wrong at ZERO cost. Myron was the main person helping me and I appreacite him so much! The customer service at this place goes above and beyond. I truly do not think I will take my car any place else for ANY mechanical issue or service, I don't care the price- this place will do it right. So thanks to all the techs and Myron for making this headache a little less painful and getting my baby back on the road in less than 24 hours!! read more

I went home to wait for the service to be completed--I didn't EVER receive a phone call saying that my car was ready. After 4 1/2 hours I finally called them and was told that it was ready. When I confronted my service advisor, Saydee, about not getting a phone call, she lied and said that she had called me--and if not, she had for certain left a voicemail. She did not! My phone was sitting with me the entire time. No voicemail, no missed phone call. Imagine making an appointment for an oil change and not being told how long it would take expecting the usual 30-45min, step into the lobby with your two small children and not leave for 4 hrs being a young single mother I did not have any other means to be able to leave. We bought our Toyota 4Runner in 2015 and it has been the best experience ever since. Right ftom the get go they treated us like we were VIPs. We got an amazing deal on our trade-in and financing was very competitive. Our package was awesome-Toyota roadside assistance, Auto Butler, and I definitely recommend getting the extended warranty. I haven't had any major issues with our vehicle and it is built pretty tough, not afraid to take it off roading in the desert and it's smooth in the city! I love the service center, everyone is always friendly and helpful. There is a lounge area to sit and watch TV, lots of magazines, free popcorn, coffee, water bottles, and snacks. There's a play area for small kids, and a shuttle service that will take you within a 10 mile radius if you don't want to wait around. Writing this review in my Toyota Service Uber on the way to the nail salon lol thanks guys! The parts and service center has lots of cool accessories for your Toyota. The prices are reasonable, and you can buy a touch-up paint pen for your vehicle--they will match the color so that you can fix any small scuffs. I don't know how many times I've been here in the past 5 years, but I have never had a bad experience, and have always felt that the employees are honest and have your best interest in mind. Would definitely buy another Toyota when the time comes and recommend to all my family and friends. P.S. bring back the hot dog stand, pretty please! That was my favorite! read more

The second time we hoped he wouldn't be here, took my car (PURCHASED AT THIS DEALERSHIP NEW) for a recall issue regarding the AIRBAG (IMPORTANT????), he tells us AGAIN 180 starting to make sure we are correct. He wants the car for a full weekend since he is so busy, and says he can't diagnose any issues and needs to have guys look at it. I bought a mustang from a gentleman with the last name of Gerdes I believe the first name was Dillon. Very disappointed. After owning the vehicle for 2 days and only driving 100 miles total, my clutch went out while on the highway. I signed a waiver stating that I was covered up to 30 days or 1-2,000 miles I believe. No where on the waiver did it say what wasn't covered. And the GM's and the car salesman left me in the dirt where I paid over $1,000 out of my pocket. Nobody wanted anything to do with me. Nobody bothered to try and put me in the right place. Instead they googled my question and their own questions. "Does warranty cover clutches?" They are charging $5000 over MSRP because there is high demand for vehicles right now. They justify this as a "market adjustment". This used to be called "price gouging", and it was illegal. I'm not sure why this sort of thing is legally permitted. Not every dealer is pulling this kind of BS. I bought almost the exact same vehicle for $6000 less at another local Toyota dealer (Big Two). Another issue is the high pressure sales techniques these guys use when you are on the sales floor. They will bully you and use every psychological manipulation tactic in the book ("let me talk to the manager and see what I can do for you"....). You can never actually talk to the guy making the price decisions. I have no financial relationship with either dealer, but I can tell you that I will NEVER do business with Earnhardt again, based on their shady business practices. read more

Whitney (I believe her name was) spoke with a very condescending tone and her facial expression looked like she was disgusted that she had to be bothered with helping a customer. After previously purchasing a 4Runner from this dealership and having it maintained with them for the last 10 years, we decided we were going to splurge on a new Land Cruiser. We worked out the details with the salesperson who was professional and no pressure. Leaving his name out because he was not the problem. We put a deposit down and signed paperwork with the expectation of 2-3 weeks delivery. We were going to be out of town during the potential delivery date but the salesperson advised no problem. The paperwork we signed off on by the manager Troy Maxwell with the vehicle description and VIN on the paperwork. We did not trade our vehicle but sold it ourselves within a few days of the deposit since we were going to be away and would return to a new vehicle. When we returned, we placed calls to the dealership and they stated that vehicle was not available for sale. We eventually were directed back to Troy and he tried to blame the salesperson when it was he that authorized the sale of the vehicle we had our deposit on. Total bait and switch! He tried to bullshit his way with another vehicle but it was nothing like the one we originally put the deposit on. We left the dealership after getting our deposit back but not until we had to basically threaten to get it back. Very bad experience and we ended up at Lexus. read more

Got a quote back from Bruce with an $800 alarm option. Now why in the world would I need to pay for an alarm when the $50k new car comes with one? Are they charging for factory alarm? Aftermarket alarm? Alarm that sounds like dukes of hazard theme song? Who knows. Either way it's a scam. And according to this dealership the options on this car are non-negotiable! My business is also non-negotiable with you as well then Earnhardt Toyota. Don't be the sucker that buys the TRD Pro here. There are many other dealerships out there willing to knock off port/dealership "options" that you never chose to begin with.
