Crab Rangoon (minus one. I couldn't wait!)

The Crab Rangoons keep me coming back to East China Inn! They are the best around! Filled with actual crab meat, they are delicious! The staff always makes you feel welcome as if you are family. Tonight I tried something out of my normal comfort zone. The beef with pea pods and water chestnuts was very good. The veggies crisp and the beef tender. The restaurant is decorated traditionally and is comfortable. As far as Chinese food goes, this is a great place to stop or take out!

I was excited to try this place. Kinda disappointed. Was told my order would take ten minutes but it was ready in about 7, i was happy it was fast but once i got in the car 1 min later i noticed my food wasn't even hot. McDonald's fries have lasted longer. I got a simple sweet n sour chicken...it comes from hot oil so you think it be piping hot. Then i get to my destination a few minutes later. The sauce had a rotten pepper and the chicken was very questionable. Pieces had weird colors n textures The quality is not good.....just go to panda for fresh ingredients

YUM! This place REALLY hit the spot and was super affordable as well. I used to have my absolute FAVORITE Chinese spot in Miami which I'd frequent shamelessly 2-3x a month. However when I moved to the NW suburbs of Illinois 6 years ago. I had to say goodbye to Oriental Express too... Luckily, I think my quest for quality Chinese food has finally come to a triumphant end. This place is delicious, authentic, and very affordable, what more can you ask for? I had the Crab Rangoon, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and the Spicy Hunan Beef. Everything was fresh and delicious, and to my surprise, EXACTLY how I like it and very close to, if not exactly how it all was 6 years ago at my favorite Chinese restaurant in Miami. Will definitely be back soon and often.

Excellent food and excellent service. Great portion size. Great (lunch) pricing and options. Would definitely recommend. Will return in the future.

I tried them for the first time. Their wonton soup was light tasting and good. However, the wontons have very little meat

It was very dry but since the sauce was there it offset the dryness. The boiled fish was great too. It was cooked well and a good combination of spicy and savory. This is casual Chinese but the interior is nicer than most Chinese restaurants. We ordered crab rangoon, crispy shrimp with lemon sauce, twice cooked pork, baby bok choy with garlic, smoked tea duck, and boiled sole fish fillet in spicy Szechuan sauce. Service was good. Food came out fast. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday evening. Prices were fair for the portions. Overall about a 3.5 out of 5. -crab rangoon 5 - big pieces with a lot of filling inside. -crispy shrimp with lemon sauce 5 - this reminds me of walnut shrimp but with lemon flavor. Shrimp was crunchy. -twice cooked pork 3 - This was decent but it didn't have a lot of pork in it. A lot of vegetables but I wanted more pork. -baby bok choy with garlic 5 - vegetables were soft not soggy., -smoked tea duck 5 - pieces had a good amount of meat. I could really taste the smoky flavor. -boiled sole fish fillet 4 - not too spicy. This was a very good dish but I wished they added more fish in it.

He order the beef and rice with broccoli and the meat was COLD and very hard the chew. The only thing that he liked was the rice which was hot. He love the beef won tons because of the spicy chile. It was so upset that the soup had no flavor I put so much salt and also a pack of soy sauce which I never put soy sauce on anything I even Added the chile it look Like the cook took a bucket full of dirty wash water and served it to me the noodle had no flavor. The server was always on her phone. I asked her so many times to removed the dirty plates from the table and she completely ignored us. The ambiance was empty just a few orders to go. I feel SAD that I took an hour drive to be so disappointed at the horrible tasting food and also the bad service
