This is a solid wings place (as someone who's not a wing aficionado). Splitting one of the deals (whichever is 25 wings) among three guys was a great way to have plenty of wings per person for not too much money. The wings were good enough for my taste; the Tajin dry rub and Bold bbq sauce were both great; though I preferred the former. Only a few wings of the 25 were a little too crispy. They all came out hot enough that we had to wait a minute to eat so we didn't burn ourselves. Service-wise, our waiter checked on us regularly but not intrusively, and he did a good job of being observant. He made sure that stuff came out quickly. Ambiance-wise, it's a wing place. I'll keep this short because there's not much to say about East Coast Wings and Grill. I've been here a couple of times and the last time was the worst experience of the two. We ordered the 25 Wings and Chip basket and asked for heat index 5. The time it took to receive the food was about 20 + minutes and our waiter didn't give us an update. When we finally received our order, the wings were warm not hot and they lacked the spiciness we wanted. When the server came over and asked if everything was okay, I just lied and said yeah. This place is like a roller coaster ride! A month ago I was in and the service and food could not have been better. Unfortunately, tonight I went in with my wife, we sat at the bar, the only two people at the bar while three or four other tables were seated in the bar area. Every table at the bar had menus and obviously not been waited on. Two people were behind the bar, one of which was more concerned with changing the music on the iPad rather than waiting on or acknowledging customers, just had no interest in customers. After 10 minutes we left... And frankly, I do not believe we will ever return. I am shocked that this restaurant survives... The inconsistency is horrific. We left and went to another establishment close by, Queens South. Before we even sat at a table at Queens South we had menus and the bartender was asking what we would like to drink! We decided to give this place another try since the last time was 3 years ago. We did takeout tonight and it was quick and easy. Avocado Chicken Flatbread was good except the avocados were ROCK hard and not ripe. Southwest Chicken Salad- I was not expecting the horrid sauce they put on top of the chicken in this salad. The nice hostess took us towards a booth to sit. The booth had ripped up seats, tried to go to the next that had an open hole on the seat...sloppy. We sit down to find the tables and menus very sticky and dirty. We both said "well we're here now" and ordered some food and a drink. We both ordered a long island and I got the wings and a salad and the Mrs. a shrimp po-boy. Food came out to find just about every shred of lettuce on the salade was brown and wilted...I sent it back to be taken off the bill. The wings came and they were ok (seemed like they were sitting under a heat lamp for a while or something. My wife's po boy had a enough salt on it to make your feet swell up. I can't tell if the place was just having an off night or if our experience last night was true to form. Looking at the lack of upkeep to the front of the house in their booths and tables...and seeing that they had a low 92 score for sanitation, I'll assume the latter. Great wings restaurant with many other great items on the menu. This place opened up about 4 months ago. It's a great sports bar atmosphere that is also great for kids. They have Kidd's eat free every Wednesday night. I usually have the wings. But tonight I decided to try the Buffalo wrap. It was very good with fried chicken tenders with melted provolone cheese. MEH - After 2 visits to give this place a try I'm hoping it will improve as they work out the kinks...... I was really glad to finally have a burger place here in Waxhaw BUT a lot of the food is just MEH. Burgers are decent, but not what I'd call gourmet at all, but they are probably the best item we've had. The wings are SUPPOSED to be great and they are terrible, gloppy & over cooked and just a big ol' mess, plus hubby said they gave him a stomach ache, all the grease was kinda gross. During busy times, food & service can definitely be SLOW!! We went one time at around 3pm and it was fine, but the other time we went at 1pm and it was not even full int he place and food took over 30 minutes....saw what seemed to be a Manager, sho never once came anywhere near our table & we got no apology for the long wait for food. Fries are meh, sweet potato waffle fries awesome, tater tots actually the best I've ever had, fries mozzarella sticks just ok. Flatbread pizza was underwhelming and had way too much cheese, Quesadilla for kiddo was ok, but again way too much cheese. Everything was better the first visit, the second visit it was obvious the kitchen had issues and the wait staff needs coaching, everything had way too much grease the 2nd visit, yuk. Perfect place when you want easy food that can fit everyone's taste. The menu provides great variety and the portions are generous. I've been to the Waxhaw location about 5 times, once for a meeting and the other times with family members. We've also ordered through Grubhub. The go-to's for us have been wings each time. We love the garlic parmesan and lemon pepper. My most recent visit, I tried the chicken avocado flat bread and I'll definitely be ordering that again. Love the local beer selection (try the "Fat Boy")! My kids love the corn dog bites. I was satisfied with the service each time; John and Dom have taken wonderful care of my groups. The food is what you would normally expect at a bar type place that serves wings, but family friendly and everyone leaves satisfied. No complaints here. read more

We had a craving for wings and came here out of respect for the name. One of the location nearby closed due to neew management and we came here instead just because it was close by. Unknowingly, this place turned out to be a disaster. We ordered bonelesss wings and a burger. The burger was okay, it was difficult to go wrong with burger. The wings, however, left much to desire. The coat was dry like they have been in the freezer for several months before they receive the attention from the chef who carelessly shoved them quickly to the oven and rushingly coat them with whatever seasonings per order. However, due to the severely dehydrated state they have been in, the wings did not absorb any flavor. Instead all the flavors fell out of the coat to make a messy mix of flavors and wings upon serving. The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes to be noticed by a waiter who were taking care of multiple tasks. And, you might think the place was that busy! We went to EC Wings on a Saturday night with our kids. It wasn't too busy and we were seated in just a minute even with 5 of us. I have never enjoyed chicken more. We ordered -kids corn dog: small corn dogs with a side - kids Mac-n- cheese: seemed homemade, super cheesy and yummy with fruit cup (like the dole cups) - boneless wings medium sauce: wow these were juicy and served hot with just enough sauce. Could have had a bit more. But the blue cheese is amazing - The chicken wrap: daughter said it was good. Had rice and beans and chicken, etc. Looked to be a decent size. - And the EC Chicken sandwich with the cheese and medium sauce and fries. The sandwich was definitely made with care. The bread was hot and toasted, cheese was meaty, and the chicken is the best I have had. So moist and well prepared. We had really good service also. Horrible experience at East Coast Wings & Grill in Waxhaw. It wasn't the food (which was meh) or the wait staff (all of whom were nice and working HARD, but clearly frazzled)... it was the owner. For some reason, the owner took our order, then vanished, leaving the rest of the wait staff to do what they could to cover our table - when it was time for the bill, though, he reappeared and tried to charge us separately for sauce on our wings and was charging us for food we ordered and never received. When I tried to understand what was happening with our bill, he said, "The problem is that you don't understand math." I placed an order for take out for a buffalo chicken wrap. They told me it would be 30-35 minutes which is insane for one wrap but at least they informed me. When I sat down, I came to realize everyone else there waiting for their take out had been waiting an hour so far. And then every person who got their order before me got the wrong order. The kitchen didn't make a single thing correctly and the manager was giving out gift cards galore. Everyone had warned me to check my order before leaving, so when I finally got it 45 minutes later, I checked. It looked correct - a wrap with fries. It wasn't until I got home and bit into did I realize it was grilled chicken instead of crispy and it had absolutely no buffalo sauce in it. This little shop opened up to finally provide some alternative places near Cuthbertson to eat. Stopped here on the way back home and was seated after a short wait during a busy Saturday. Service was slower than expected, but not horrible. I got wings and my wife got chicken tenders. The wings were fine, nothing extraordinary that I can really remember being amazing. My wife's tenders we're good, but again nothing that was amazing enough to rave about. The pretzel appetizer was good, like cigar shaped pretzels (not the twisted traditional pretzel shape you'd expect) and the cheese sauce was flavorful but very thin The carrot side was good and crispy and cold, so there was that. But the Wings....:( I had the Bone-in Medium heat and they were overcooked and dry and not very flavorful and the sauce wasn't like a buffalo style that's a little wet, it was more like a Mild wing without sauce. No Flavor. I ordered 10, ate 5, left the rest. My wife had boneless wings with parmesan flavor and they were like hard, dry, little overcooked boulders on the plate, just not edible. Solid little sports bar in Waxhaw, came in with some buddies to watch a game one night. There was a good live band playing, good scene!
