We stopped in for dinner on a Thursday evening, about an hour and fifteen minutes before closing. The restaurant had several open tables, but right at the entrance it was clear something was off. A couple ahead of us was waiting, another had just added their name to the list, and when we reached the host stand, the host appeared completely overwhelmed. He told us there would be a 25+ minute wait, but didn't take our name--just gave us a look like he didn't want to seat anyone else for the night. To his credit, another employee--clearly juggling multiple roles between serving and bussing--stepped in and got things moving. He checked tables, managed the flow, and ultimately seated the waiting parties, including us. He was polite, professional, and exactly what you expect from someone in hospitality. Once seated, the contrast between staff members became even more obvious. The host wasn't just overwhelmed--his attitude toward the work was the bigger issue. Throughout the evening, we watched him complain openly to coworkers about being asked to bus tables or help with simple tasks. At one point, he spent more time explaining why he shouldn't grab a stack of cups than it would have taken to just do it. Other employees were visibly frustrated, rolling their eyes or simply working around him. We also observed him on multiple occasions heading back into the kitchen empty-handed while there were still plenty of dirty tables on the floor--at least twice that we personally saw. To be fair, he did bus several tables, but he also skipped others that clearly needed attention, creating more work for the rest of the staff. It gave the impression that he was avoiding parts of the job rather than tackling what needed to be done. Later, another employee asked him to assist with clearing several tables. Instead of helping, he began complaining loudly across the dining room. The employee simply said, "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it," and handled the situation efficiently and professionally. Shortly after, the host retreated to the kitchen where he had a loud meltdown--audible from the dining room--right at closing time. We later learned he was stressed about a homework assignment due that day, which seemed to explain the behavior, but from a guest perspective, it was a poor representation of the restaurant at the front door. That said, every other staff member we encountered was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and professional across the board. Our server in particular was excellent--engaged, efficient, and on point the entire meal. As for the food, both meals were solid. I ordered a steak medium rare, and while it came out slightly overcooked--closer to medium--it was still a good cut and enjoyable. It was a bit heavy on the seasoning, but easily adjusted by scraping some off. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. My colleague ordered a steak topped with coconut shrimp and was very happy with his meal. Overall, this could have been a great dining experience. The kitchen did a solid job, and the service staff (aside from one) were exactly what you hope for. Unfortunately, the first impression--and much of the atmosphere--was overshadowed by a host who was clearly having a rough night and not handling it well. LongHorn Steakhouse in Pineville has some of the standard qualities you'd expect from the chain (decor and standard menu), but my recent visit left me a bit underwhelmed. Even knowing that the restaurant doesn't take reservations, they do offer to call ahead to be placed on the waitlist in advance. The wait time was much longer than expected. Even though the restaurant was busy, our estimated wait time of 45 mins stretched to close to an hour. They told us at one point that our table was ready, but they were not going to seat us yet because they "didn't want to overwhelm the server". Meanwhile, we all sat or stood uncomfortably in the waiting area for an additional 10-15 minutes. I would have been much happier seated at the table waiting with the knowledge that the server may be a bit getting to us. Once seated, the service *still* moved at a slow pace, which added to the frustration of the wait time just to be seated. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and while the flavor was fine, the portion was a disappointing collection of pieces rather than a full cut of chicken breast. It wasn't bad - just not as satisfying or well‑rounded as I've had at other LongHorn locations. It's been a couple of years since I've been here. During Covid the food quality, selection and service suffered. Venturing back the menu has bounced back and the food is back to where it used to be. Two things stick out- the steaks seem a bit greasy when served and now two consecutive visits my entree was delivered followed by the salad -- while not horrible it does interfere with the flow of the meal. Last night my waitress explained that I was given the same entree that was ordered at another table-,I didn't tell her that the same thing happened the week before on the same evening- and how many orders for pork chops do they really get? I would have thought a vist from the manager or a complimentary drink or dessert would have been in order but nothing. read more

We stopped into LongHorn for dinner while traveling in the Charlotte area. We had a large group; maybe 20 of us... I ordered the Ribeye with house salad and fries. It was delicious and cooked just right. My wife and I shared it. My wife ordered the Strawberry & Pecan Salad and it was huge!!!! She couldn't eat it all! We had dinner here before heading to the amusement park up the street. We arrived early enough to get seated right away. We were happy to have the bread & butter quickly because we were on the road and were hungry. We ordered one appetizer and 4 entrees. No drinks from the bar, so, in my opinion an easy order. Well our entrees arrived and we were fine, but when they asked if we were good for now, we asked when will we get the appetizer? The waitress totally forgot and said "do you still want that?" We said yes please. Well we were just finishing our meals and she looked at us and realized she forgot the appetizer AGAIN. She did bring it out but we took it to go because we needed to get to the park. Ordered a 6oz filet. Was given sirloin. I didn't order the sirloin and I don't believe this was a mistake. Fairly certain they are passing off sirloin as filet. They had both on the menu. Kinda confusing. The baked potato was good. The shrimp and lobster chowder is a joke. It taste good but they should just call it a corn chowder. I don't typically take the time to review chain restaurants because the experience is usually pretty consistent and nothing exceptional. I've been to a few Longhorn Steakhouses and they've always been just fine. But we had an outstanding experience with this Longhorn in Pineville. The food was excellent and our server, Khyril was exceptional. He was fast, friendly and attentive and went out of his way to make our dinner a special experience for our 5 year old and my parents in thier 80s. We will go back to request him as our server again! We had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked, the ribeye and the renegade. Steaks were also cooked and seasoned to perfection. We went for lunch today and my order came out chicken tough as nails. The server said every other order today was messed up. Not sure what that problem is but I sent it back and waited over 40 mins for them to cook the chicken with parm cheese on it and baked potato. I finally told them to cancel the order. Another female not sure if she was manager or another server was extremely rude about the whole situation. I think she forgot who pays her salary...the CUSTOMERS DO...Wont be going back here. Just an awful experience. Should have turned around and left when we arrived and were told that it would be a 15 minute wait with 2/3 of the restaurant empty (including the bar). Service was terrible. Our waitress took a while to get to us and spent more time vacuuming the floor than waiting on customers. We had to request bread 2x and once our food arrived, we never saw her again till the check arrived. Decided to try the pork chops this time and was an epic mistake. I got in and my service was top notch. Gabby has a nice and great personality to her. Shes very attentive and very observant and I got my coke to go not asking; just knows. Having previously enjoyed several work lunches at this location, I chose to have lunch there Saturday afternoon. We were greeted quickly, and seated just as quickly. Wife ordered bourbon-glazed salmon, I ordered the 9 ounce Flo's Filet, medium rare. Both of us had the loaded baked potato for sides. Both our meals were cooked EXACTLY as ordered. Delicious, flavorful, and a great presentation. Our waitress was friendly, checked in after serving, and again when we were done. Had a long pour perfect margarita(salted rum of course) the longhorn salmon, the delicious brussel sprouts and a good loaded baked potato. All delicious!!! My server Sophia was amazing? Now here comes my gripe and frustration with Longhorn...I sat at a table for at least an hour and watched the Manager and I'm guessing another lead go to three surrounding tables and ask them how their food and service was...very chipper and inviting but not once did they come to my table and check on how I enjoyed the food, service or if I needed anything That is a huge issue for me because not only am I the same race as the Manager(hate to bring that up) but it is noted, the tables he checked on and asked how they were doing was people of Caucasian descent. Longhorn has been our most consistent go-to steak spot. This was on Easter Sunday, wait to be seated was about 15-20 mins without calling ahead around noon. Spinach dip was not something I'd order again but everything else mostly good. The Longhorn Old Fashioned is Small Batch 9 yr old Bourbon by Knob Creek & it was potent, excellent. Went w 6 oz ribeye medium but should gone med well because too pink for my appetite. Took leftovers home heated more thoroughly in center. Recently had a disappointing meal at LongHorn Centrum. Everything from service to food was a C+ to a C-. The server was fine. but didn't know what drinks were available and didn't clear off salad bowls, bread dishes, etc before mains came out. My Flo's filet was like a hockey puck and looked to be pieced together, my husband's larger Flo's was thin and well done instead of medium. The salads were average out of a tub, the baked sweet potato, broccoli, and bread were good. I have not been to LongHorn in several years, and unless I'm looking for a very average dining experience, I won't return. If I could give 2 1/2 stars that would be my rating. read more

Would not recommend this place! My steak came out raw! We sent it back and they sent another steak.. still wasn't cooked the way I asked for it. The steak so very tough and not good at all. My daughter steak wasn't cooked well either and she ended up getting sick after eating it. As we were eating lunch a cockroach was crawling on the wall then landed on the table. I love a good steak as the next guy does but something about longhorn calls for me when I have a hankering. While there's an outback on the other side of the road we prefer longhorn. The staff here are super courteous and helpful and the food imo is much better than outback. We split a 28oz sirloin which is plenty for us. The broccoli side was yum! I expect the steamed broccoli to be bland but whether butter or salt- it was a thumbs up. Fries - meh- granted they may have gotten soft on ride home. Neither kids ate their burger. I did like their was a fruit choice as a side and kids gobbled up their oranges. Bread & butter good. Curbside order was correct but the steaks were overwhelming (I know, I know it's a chain but a little salt and seasoning can go a LONG way). Went here for lunch and it was pretty good. My wife and I ate here today for lunch. We started with the bread, which was free. I thought it was ok, she really liked it. I also had a sweet tea and my wife had a Dr. pepper. Both drinks were very good. For the main course we both got an 11oz sirloin steak. I got seasoned fries as my side and my wife got a loaded mashed potatoes. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Also looked very good. Side note, both my wife and I noticed the silver ware was very nice and heavy duty. Time to cut the steak to make sure it was done right. I got medium and my wife got medium rare. Both steaks were done just right. The season on the steak was great, very good taste. As we ate the steak and got close to the end my wife noticed a little fat on hers but nothing too bad. For the sides, my fries were great. Very good seasoning on them. I'd love to know what that was. A side of ranch to dip of course. Her mashed potatoes were very good and creamy. "Steakhouse" This place is by far, one of the worst manned establishments I have been to in this chain. I went an a slow Sunday night and hit the bar, as I normally do. There were maybe 4 others at the bar and it still took the bartender like 8 minutes to even acknowledge that I was there. She got my drink order while I was looking over the menu - now my drink order is always the same, year after year: Captain, diet, lime. She brought over this clear colored drink. I remarked that she must have misunderstood me and made a Captain & sprite, but she assured me that it was diet coke. I told her that the soda box was empty and it was Captain & soda. She never bothered to check or replace the drink. I ordered food and again, simple directions were messed up. Appetizer, salad, w dressing on the side, no bread and a steak dish. App was fine (stuffed mushrooms) and as ordered. Salad came out soaked w dressing and the steak was right on the money. Naturally, a loaf of bread made an appearance. I was just aggravated by the whole experience and the whole "I don't give a sh*t" attitude by the bartender. She remarked to someone that it was her first time back there or something to that effect, and it showed. The food was fine and the review for the food alone would have made this a 3-4 star rating. Came here because, well, I've a great steakhouse, burger list from the internet gods. This is the 1st one on the list to try. And we have a winner... For the bottom tier. The staff were awesome and the restaurant was in great condition. Good start! The cheeseburger, was however, close to flavorless, well-overcooked (asked for medium) , yet the patty was still juicy for the most part. The burger is a bit on the smaller side for steakhouses, but I don't mind that. The bun was stale-type, crunchy. Menu mishap on condiments and restaurant promise, for sure...very little lettuce, no pickles, and definitely rushed when put together. Bacon comes with this, but I removed it, and did not touch it. Not worth the calories.... Please give me steakhouse bacon, not IHOP bacon. The exorbitant amount of grease on top of the veggies, made for a texture-less experience, and the reverse assembly roles of the ingredients and condiments resulted in no crunch at all, except for the stale bun. At most, this is a menu item that is afterthought for those not wanting steak. Mouth-feel IS still a feeling. The burger did not give me a good one. read more

Being in the service industry myself, I know the weekend pressure of dinning in folks. This place is ran extremely well. Kuddos to the management team and all the employees. We stopped at Long Horn in Pineville NC after making a turn around trip to Atlanta GA. Hungry and exhausted I added our party to the waiting list through the website . We received a text that the wait would be 15-20 min. We arrived in 25 min and waited an extra 5 min for our table. We were greeted by our waiter Treva. Drinks, bread, and salad quickly followed which we appreciated. I ordered the ribeye medium well with mash potatoes and broccoli , and my boyfriend have the fire t-bone medium with sweet potatoes and fully loaded baked potatoes. My steak was cooked longer than I would have like but still very tasty... no steak sauce needed. My boyfriend enjoyed as well.
