Everyone is always super friendly and the food is always great - today I got the eggs and ham steak and this ham steak was massive but so tender! It's Easter and they are open and their staff all have cute ears on. It sets a fun vibe while everyone is served in a great timely manner!

East Penn is accommodating and clean with excellent service and great food. My girlfriend and I usually go there on Sundays. Whether we order breakfast or lunch, the food is consistently wonderful and the staff has been stellar. And their coffee has been the best I have had in a diner in some time.

I was very impressed with East Penn Diner this morning. I have lived across the street for awhile now and finally got over there for breakfast. This is Dutch Benedict: English muffin, scrapple, poached egg & holidaise sauce. Crisp home fries laced with sensational fried onions. Corned beef hash that was perfectly crisp on the outside. The cook who poached these eggs is a master of his craft. The scrapple was crisp and well executed. This was one of the best diner breakfasts I have had in a long while! I can't believe it was right under my nose. The service was warm and friendly. The place was packed and my party sat at the breakfast bar. The coffee was decent. The dessert case was right in front of me and it all looked tremendous. #rushieeats

A wonderful diner experience. The service staff is kind and attentive. This is a locals feel welcome atmosphere and do by default so did we. The food was prompt & plentiful. The coffee was hot and delicious. The gorgeous glass mugs a plus. We had breakfast. In and out quickly but no one rushed us. Packed at 11am because it's well worth the visit. The way they treat their customers with care & attention is wholesome. The place was clean with plenty of seating. 10/10 would visit again.

We walked in and even though it was busy we were taken to our reserved table immediately. The place is big with nice decor and ambiance, and the tables are spaced out enough that it keeps the area around you quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation comfortably with the people at your table. Our server was with us quickly and took our drink orders. All of the cocktails were delicious and several of us got a second round! We got the bao buns, chicken skewers, and birria poutine to start and they were all extremely delicious. The poutine tasted more like molé though so I personally wouldn't call it birria, and the cheese was a molten cheddar-like kind and not cheese curds. It was delicious though so no one complained! I got the curry and subbed tofu for shrimp. It was a little bland and I honestly wish there would've been a bit more of the curry itself (there was so much rice) and some more salt/seasoning, but it was fine. I'd give it a 7.5/10. My coworkers all enjoyed their own dishes (especially the rigatoni) and they kept raving about them throughout the whole meal. Our server was attentive and kept the table clean and our water bottles topped up. I definitely recommend checking it out! We're keeping it i. our list for next time we're in town :)

We also enjoyed delicious cocktails that paired perfectly with our meal. For our main course, we shared the paella, which was flavorful, well seasoned, and generously portioned. It's the kind of place that's perfect for catching up with friends over great food and drinks, and I'd happily return.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

It's a Wednesday night and folks are nestled around the tightly knit bar like everyone is family. I'm the outsider from Allentown just passing through but the hostess and servers treat everyone all the same. This quaint restaurant has cloth table settings with ice water, awaiting your arrival. While the view is the main highway that runs through this sleepy town, it offers a bit of nostalgia from a day gone by. I've been here several times and I'm finally getting around to posting my review. I've always enjoyed my time here at Limeport even if every visit had some flaw. This time my drink glass had lipstick all over it, which the server thought was hilarious as well as embarrassing. I agree. The Smashburger is not a Smashburger at all. It's a decently flavored frozen puck that's been transformed into what ended up being a decent burger. You see, they know sauces well here as they're famous for all of their house made dressings and add-ons. The fries are homemade and come straight from the potato, but the oil is clearly old and the fries unfortunately were over overcooked. Well, this visit wasn't my favorite visit. I've really enjoyed my meals in the past. I will be back several times as I come through the town, but I'm not sure that it would be a destination restaurant for me. For those that live local, you're very blessed to have a solid restaurant available to you with filet mignon scallops and wonderful, house-made salads at your fingertips. Cheers!

We ordered the Caesar salad (phenomenal) The steak tartare, just divine perfection The waitress heard me talking about the sweat breads from the chicken dish (that I wasn't ordering, I'll explain shortly) and said the chef could do them as a side dish, DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the world's largest most delicious pork chop. Now, my meal. I ordered the halibut and recognized that perhaps it wasn't for me, but I ordered it it was my choice I wasn't going to send it back. Our waitress took note that I wasn't eating and told me that simply would not do and hustled to the kitchen to come out with the chicken dish, I was so appreciative of her noticing and accommodating this, truly, amazing service and that chicken was succulent beyond words! We also got 3 of the desserts, the seasonal eggnog bread pudding, the cinnamon raisin bread pudding which was insanely delicious as I personally am not a huge bread pudding fan but if every bread pudding was this? That would be my go to! And of course the butterscotch pudding which better never leave the menu because it is lick your plate delicious!!! A once cozy and romantic atmosphere, is now a crowded, loud dining room. I had made a reservation on Resy (as per Bolete's website) and requested an upstairs table. In the notes, I mentioned our anniversary, and that we were looking forward to a cozy table to celebrate. Unfortunately, we were seated in the middle of two other parties, whom were both facing us. The lighting was contemporary, and kept brightening then dimming, repeatedly throughout the evening. There was little to no decor, I'm assuming that was removed to fit the volume of tables. The food was as delicious, as I had remembered. However, my husband ordered the ribeye, and was told they were out of steak, but that the pork chop was a delicious second choice. Sorry...a pork chop is not comparable to a steak. An appetizer we chose was also no longer available. Perhaps if Bolete had stuck with quality over quantity, they would not have run out of our first choice options? For our few, and far between date nights these days, the overall experience was a disappointment.
