I've gone in for new breaks and for a state inspection. I like their texting system where they give you all the details of what should be done to your car and they clearly outlay the pricing. They also don't just jump to do it, you can either go and take your car back or approve the work to be done. The inspection process was also super easy for my husband and I. I know other reviews mention running into issues with an inspection here-- that was not what both my husband and I experienced. They gave a clear list of everything passing and had us on our way. We will continue to visit L&S Auto when we need work done on our cars or state inspections!

Several times I had the dealer hand me a $2000+ list of things I needed to do only to find out a third were not needed and the rest were double the price. As I wait for my car during services I constantly see panicked walk-ins that are taken last minute or hear calls that they agree to take same or next day. The only problem I have ever had in the past was they were always so busy it would be hard to get them on the phone. The employees were handling phones and the car work. They have since hired an amazing person in the office that is a pleasure to talk to and makes using Barrington Auto even better.

The technicians at Ford put my car on a lift and then told me I needed a new fuel pump, ring , seal and gas tank for a total of $2,700, mind you they never dropped the tank for inspection. I declined and took my car home. The next day I called Norwest and explained to them my situation. One of the owners explained that while I might need a fuel pump it seemed highly unlikely I'd need to replace the tank but suggested I make an appointment and they'd be happy to take a look at it. I dropped the car off a few days earlier than my appointment day. In that time frame they looked it over and determined that my gas tank was perfectly fine, and all I needed was a fuel pump. They were able to get the part and install it and I had my vehicle back the same day as what my appointment was scheduled for. It was also very reasonable on price compared to the Ford Dealership. I will never take my vehicle back to a "Stealership", as I am sold on Norwest's service, knowledge and flexibility. The best part is they are literally a up the street from my house, so it's convenient to drop it off and pick it up.

I finally gave in and went to Smittys because it was walking distance to my house I told them about the noise and my check engine light was on, I didn't know why. I also asked for an oil change. I walked home expecting a call letting me know how many hundreds I should bring when it was fixed. A few hours later they call and tell me it was a shield that was bent and hitting the rotor, they bent it back for me, no charge The engine light....gas cap was not on tight! No charge! So I had to pay for an oil change!!! I am over-the-moon thrilled!!!! Not only was the problem no big deal, but these guys were honest and told me it was no big deal!!!!
