In looking around at other online groups, I noticed that he was the owner of a pool business. I checked reviews everywhere and everyone loved his friendliness and expertise. We had a broken pump and needed it replaced quickly in the Phoenix heat. Shawn answered my questions and gave me recommendations outside of business hours and scheduled our repair to happen in 36 hours. He came out this morning, was fast, efficient and super friendly to work with. We now have a great new pump and the pool is clean again! He sent me a receipt for my payment the same day and also filed for a rebate for me. Gold star service. He knows Hayward and Pentair and I'm sure he works with others too. We asked our previous service to fix the noisy suction sounds coming from the top step when the pop ups were actuated by adjusting the water level. He stated it was the pop up, not the H2O level. After replacing them, noise still occurred. We asked again to increase the level and were told he had already done it, yet the noise still existed.... We also had an insane amount of wasps landing on our pool. So much so that I couldn't take my kids out to swim. .... And then we met Paul. What a gem! Not only did Paul fix the noisy suction noise on his first day, he also taught my husband how to do it! Super simple and such a BIG difference!! Now at night while enjoying the weather and some quite time, we're not spooked to near death in the calm of the night by random loud water cyclones. Another fabulous difference we've noticed is that there are a heck of a lot less wasps and we can swim at any time of day now!!! Horrible and dishonest. Fidelity Home Warranty hired PLO Pools to come out to investigate why the…read moresalt cell went out and the SPA/Heat pool pump. Mark arrived and noted the pump needs to be replaced and the salt chlorinator stopped working. Mark measured the PPM in front of me which was at 2400, indicating the salt cell just stopped working. I explained to him I recently moved, we purchased the property at the end of February and have not moved in till May due to remodeling. During his diagnosis, Mark cut the Air tube to the SPA bubbler which now results in a significant cost to run a new line. Additionally, PLO Pool submitted false information to the insurance. They stated the salt chlorinator is not working when it was, otherwise, how would the salt level be at 2400?? and lied about the SPA Jet / Heater Pump not working stating it was for a water feature. Really what a joke, please be careful with them. They did not answer or reply to any phone calls and it's been nothing but a nightmare.

I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Fast forward almost 4 years and he never ceases to amaze me.
