    $12 Shrimp platter!

Superrrrr affordable and a cute, vintage spot. The restaurant is mostly occupied by older people making it a great spot to bring an older loved one. Staff is very helpful and kind. Very old-school charleston vibes.

Shrimp special with 2 sides only $14.95!

I loved this local joint! Service was very friendly and quick plus patient with us being reminded of the specials haha I went with half grilled half blackened shrimp (you can choose grill, blackened, or fried) and 2 sides of choice where I went with the slaw and grilled potatoes. Shrimp was seasoned nicely, didn't find it overly salt. The crew also brings tartar sauce and cocktail sauce plus on request ketchup and hot sauce. I enjoyed their white wine selection so got a glass or two of the Pinot Grigio plus they got a good selection of local and domestic beers. My friend got the fried grouper and enjoyed their meal too. Nice local spot to enjoy a quiet seafood dinner.

Shrimp platter special with grilled potatoes and fried okra. Plus a side of hush puppies.

I was greeted as I walked into the restaurant. My server Chuck was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious! I was able to order 2 types of shrimp so I didn't have to decide. Chucks recommendations were spot on with grilled potatoes and fried okra for sides. The hush puppies were perfect! Yes the place is a little dated, but it's part of the charm! The place feels warm and cozy. Would definitely go back.

We've driven by numerous times, then we saw the shrimp plate special on a site on Facebook and we finally decided to stop in and try it out. The restaurant is definitely old & very dated inside. But I've been to some places like this and they've rocked my world. Anyways, my husband and I ordered two shrimp specials, (20 fried shrimp with 2 sides for 12.95) and though and awesome price, it scared me at the same time. My coleslaw tasted a tad sour, so I didn't eat it, the fried okra was over fried, and left an after taste and the condiments, well they matched the restaurant.... The shrimp were on the small side but were the best part of all of it. All in all it was probably a one and done for us! There's just too many places in Charleston to keep up ... I was hoping to really kick myself for not coming sooner too. To each their own!

Listen up all you "Johnny come Lately" yelp reviewers with your ridiculous expectations of a tried and true local restaurant. I know not many people are actually from here anymore, so it comes as no surprise that a lot of people don't understand this place. This is an actual local restaurant with local connections to Charleston. There's no brand new "Native" stickers or disgusting Ohio modified Palmetto Trees on the windows. It's a real Charleston treasure. I've been going to Easterby's for over 30 years since it was on James Island. I'm not sure how you did it up north, but from the bottom of my heart, I don't care. Is Easterby's an upscale 5 star restaurant serving caviar and fine wine? No..... Quit acting like it's supposed to be! It's exactly what it should be and what its always been. Easterby's is good food, laid back local atmosphere, and great prices. I'm sorry if you spilled cocktail sauce on your bowtie or don't like the size of the plates they serve food on. Give me a break. It must be awful lonely up there on your yelp judgement throne. And quit ordering steak at a seafood joint! Where else can you go in Charleston nowadays and get a plate full of fried shrimp plus two sides for $13 at dinner? No where. Easterby's has character and good food, and this local doesn't want it to change.

I went here for a fast lunch jus to try it out I wanted some Grilled shrimp and my server can't remember her name she was great. I ordered 12 grilled shrimp and it was only about $9. The shrimp were 4/5 star I jus wished that had some Tabasco sauce to go with it .

I came here expecting a short wait since it was dinner time on Friday. While the bar was full I was able to get sat at a table immediately. This place had one of the best deals for a happy hour oysters I found find in Charleston and they were so delicious that I had to order another dozen. I'm not sure what is in the blue dropper bottle (assuming vinegar) but it complimented the oysters really well. I could've used more horseradish since the small drop they give you isn't enough for a dozen oysters. The Spanish Octopus looked amazing and tasted even better. It had a great texture, almost like a tuna steak, and the seasoning on it was unbelievable. The only bad thing about the dish is that you barely get any food for the price you're paying. Overall my service was great. My server was nice and funny and made sure to check in on me pretty regularly even though she was very busy running around.

He ordered crawfish, shrimp, and black mussels with corn and potatoes in the King Claw seasoning. As someone completely new to the experience, he was pleasantly surprised and ended up loving it. I went with two clusters of crab legs and shrimp with extra potatoes and corn in the Cajun seasoning. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The crab legs were easy to crack, the shrimp were cooked just right, and the Cajun seasoning had plenty of flavor without being overwhelming. The extra potatoes were definitely the right call. One thing that really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was fun, casual, and exactly what you'd expect from a seafood boil spot--messy in the best way possible. We skipped appetizers and dessert because the seafood was more than enough, but neither of us left hungry. If you're craving crab legs, shrimp, or a classic seafood boil experience, King Claw Seafood is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

We purchased the Cajun bowl for $51 and they did NOT disappoint. The shrimp was juicy and cooked with love, the crab legs were certainly worth the fight into the shell-- the meat was soft and cooked perfectly, AND THE POTATOES-- nothing short of delicious! They'd been drenched in the juice-- at the bottom of the pan along with the sausages, incredibly juicy and buttery eats, no complaints whatsoever, albeit-- all the garlic balanced out the slight saltiness of the boil, but they definitely weren't shy with the cajun seasoning. It was a great 10/5 stars! I'll be going to college right up the street and will definitely be pointing my buddies this way. Jessie, the cashier, was more than kind and welcoming, the wait for the food wasn't too long at all, given the fact that the meal is made fresh in store, from what we could see it was a small, lesser-known restaurant-- it was just Jessie and the cook-- but they were working hard and helped out with maximum discretion. There were a bunch of group orders placed over the phone before us which made our wait close to one hour. the food eventually came out, but the wait was painful . I kind of wish they prioritized in-house orders of people waiting instead of to-go orders , but so is the system. The decoration is nothing fancy and more of a very campy ocean theme which I personally found amusing.

I paired it with slaw and a roasted vegetable medley (extra roasted), which was phenomenal. The next day at lunch, I ordered the Greggah--their lobster roll. Perfectly seasoned cold lobster meat piled into a top-split, buttery roll, finished with a twangy mustard sauce that adds just the right kick, and served with drawn butter. On the side were roasted vegetables (excellent again) and slaw that was crunchy, creamy, and unmistakably Lowcountry in style. I also added the made-in-house, from-scratch crab balls appetizer. Perfection on a plate. Since I was in town working, I returned the following day for lunch and splurged a bit. It was Clam Day Wednesday. I had a dozen steamed clams, a half-pound of steamed shrimp, and a half-dozen Parmesan-style char-grilled oysters on the half shell. The clams were absolutely perfect--sweet, tender, juicy, and ready to be plucked from the shell. The oysters were delicate morsels of pure deliciousness. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, ideal with cocktail sauce. I left extremely satisfied. The restaurant sits on the corner of a shopping center with plenty of parking out front.
