Went there on date night for hibachi. Ordered spicy tuna rolls which were so amazing!!!! Had the sirloin/chicken combo with fried rice and veggies. The chicken was so so good!! Very tender and flavorful. Would have given this place 5 stars if not for the sirloin - it was very tough and not very good and for $23 I would expect it to be phenomenal. Went for our first dinner at this new venue and was disappointed! Sat in the bar as we waited for our entire party to arrive and had to request rum for the scorpion bowl!!! Eight of us sat at a hibachi table and found servings to be uneven, but not terrible. Three of us ordered chicken combos, but four of us were served the chicken, so smaller servings! It was tasty and hot but not as good as other hibachi restaurants! Also, floor was very slippery and hazardous to customers and wait staff as well! This is my favorite Chinese & Hibachi spot in the Seacoast area. New, clean, nicely furnished, bright restaurant with amazing staff and cooks. The host is friendly when seating us, the reception/take out staff is great when we order to go, the Servers are nice and quick to bring menus, condiments and drinks. The food is freshly prepared and always hot when served. They make fresh sushi at the Sushi bar. The Hibachi chefs are wonderful performers (as well as cooks). I love watching them prepare our food in front of us. Definitely a nice dining find in the local area. Don't let the strip mall setting fool you, the food is great. I would compare this easily to some of the places in the Boston area. Dinner time can be busy. I also see they have Trivia night and entertainment in the bar/lounge area some nights. We have definitely found a new favorite place. This was our second visit. The owner came out and greeted us with, " So nice to see you again!" and made us feel like regulars. Food is priced right. Service is always friendly. And our order only took 15 minutes for takeout. Our first visit, we ordered out of our normal. And it was fabulous. This next time we ordered, we ordered what we would get at our "regular" Chinese place. And we were not disappointed. Well, not completely. The crab Rangoon are awesome. As well as the General Tso's chicken. Lo main was tasty. Chicken fingers and beef teriyaki could use some fixing, but don't let it throw you off! The chicken fingers were small but tasted good. This is the second time I've dined here and I bought my two grandsons to their first hibachi experience today. BUT not really what I was expecting, our cook didn't seem to be enjoying himself at all. The whole hibachi show was lame, no tricks, no baby sake, no broccoli in the mouth. I remember the chef from last time was doing all this cool stuffs with the food with the knives and stuffs as he was cooking. I went late on the 22nd, about 8:30 and they closed at 11. It wasn't busy. The service was terrible. I got my salad and soup before my drinks. Only saw my waitress once after she brought our soup and salad out so we never got refills either. I paid for my meal on the debit card and "crossed" off the tip line so I could give her cash. When she opened the receipt book she came back and said "you must tip the wait staff" I said "yes I know I'm going to tip cash" she seemed annoyed. We were having a great talk with the other two people at our hibachi so we stayed chatting and about 5 minutes later she comes back and tells the other couple "hurry up I need to cash out." I was annoyed. I got a fishy feeling about her being so demanding in a tip so I watched my credit card statement closely AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW? Four days later the charge for Eastern Paradise went through for $10.00 OVER the amount I authorized on the receipt. I went to eastern paradise the manager at the time "conveniently" couldn't find my signed credit card slip. Gave me the $10 she STOLE from me and took my phone number saying someone would be in contact with me. Still haven't heard anything. I won't be coming back to a restaurant that allows their waitstaff to give horrible service, DEMAND a tip, and then STEAL from their customers. read more

This is probably the worst hibachi I've had, the service was not all that good. He barely spoke to us, and the amount of food for the price was very subpar. For one person, I spent nearly 40$ for a meal and one drink and I ate and still left hungry. All the things on the menu, are add ons that cost you more money. The drinks, if you get such as a rum and coke. You get charged for the coke upon the alcohol as well. Wasn't happy with the service and most likely will not be return here. Allow me to start this review with telling all about the service at Eastern Paradise, it is superb. Danielle was our server and truly everything one could hope for from server. She was convivial, knowledgeable of the menu, prompt, attentive, I could go on and on. The food was exceptional and bountiful. We ordered sushi and maki rolls and they were truly creative and delicious. The Manager/Owner of the restaurant came by, noticed we had ordered cocktails and offered us a complimentary dessert cocktails which were outstanding! We enjoyed everything about this restaurant and fully expect to come again and try the Chinese food side of the menu the next time. We have absolutely no doubt it will be as wonderful as the Japanese side and we will totally ask for Danielle to be our server as she was so much a part of making our dining experience here extraordinary! read more

Eastern Paradise in Rochester, NH, I was so excited to try this Asian Cuisine restaurant, but we were very, very, very disappointed. It was an order of steak terriyaki, that was rubber-like, fatty, and inedible. I had asked for an order of vegtable lo mein, but I wanted the vegtables on the side, as my daughter does not like the vegtables, and the gentleman who took our order at the restaurant, he was dumbfounded by my request and said he could not accommodate that. I even said, there was an allergy, and nope, he was very clear, we can not do that. The chicken sesame was again, rubbery, and looked as though someone dumped a whole container of sesame seeds on it, and overly sweet. The white rice and lo mein were average, but the quality was poor, as there were so vegtables of any quality. I love Chinese food and we are in the lakes region for months at a time, and have been looking for good quality Chinese food in the lakes region, the search continues. And lastly, Eastern Paradise needs to step up the quality of the food the cook and sell, because this 45.00 was not money well spent and I feel more honest reviews are needed about this restaurant. I'll admit the food is good there; however, the last time we went we did not have a good experience at the end of our visit... we went with a party of five totaling three checks leaving over $10 in tips on each. A guy that didn't even wait on us had the nerve to inspect all our receipts before leaving and then pointed out our tip in front of other guests that were around us about how it wasn't enough. And this was after they forgot someone that was in our party's tofu. Refused to just deduct it from the check and replace it with fried ice cream when repeatedly told they did not want the ice cream. Our bill came to $82 and some change with a $22 tip. Regardless, the number one rule of customer service is to never ask a customer for more money. Ive never experienced that in my life! I was completely humiliated, embarrassed and beyond mad. A tip is earned! The guy that cooked and entertained us got the tip he deserved. Not our fault you don't know how to pay your employees.
