BUYER BEWARE: I was given a quote by Matt for $350 to put on shocks. That was the only reason I went there because my plan was to do it myself. When I went to pick up the bike (I never got an adjustment phone call) they charged me $575.00!!!! Said they knew nothing about the estimate and refused to talk to Matt. Said they had to do things with the axle, brakes and other things to get the shocks in. The manufacturer said none of that was necessary. This is bate and switch tactics. My friend who works for the government installed the same shocks in 3 hours without shop tools and said if he had to do it again it would be 2 hours. BE SURE TO READ THE OTHER REVIEWS. It's all the same. Over charging. Just beware if you think you're turning in your bike you're also giving up your bank account. read more

Long post...F EASTERNS PERFORMANCE!!!Never again! Took the bike to them to switch out a transmission because mine would jerk if i hit it hard in 3rd found out a tooth was broken...as they changed it out Chris said the plastic guide on the tensioner was wearing and needs replacing...cool replace it since you got it open...$2500 later i go pick it up and its cranking hard or i have to hit the start twice to crank it...im thinking since its been there over 2 weeks maybe the battery was draining since it wasnt on a tender. Rode it maybe 10 miles still hard cranking...thinking again maybe they put some shitty spark plugs in it...got on the rode to Montgomery AL cranked even worse on the entire trip from Thursday to Saturday when it broke down on our memorial ride. Before i took it to them no issues cranking or anything...starter was only 8 months old...long story short the pin wheel and the everything in the primary is misaligned and broke the rod off the starter...yeah never seen that before then they want to say that broken piece got caught in between the sprocket and the chain and made the chain jump off onto the sprocket...total BS! That steel piece would have torn everything up in that primary...the bike didn't even start but you say it happened when we push started the bike that didn't start when we push started it. Now they claim they don't know how the pin wheel broke the starter rod but i call a mechanic and send him pics and he automatically knows what did it. Never ever again...been using Easterns since day one when i got my Harley for accessories and heard horror stories about how they screw folks over to include brothers in my club. Own your shit Easterns! The bike had one issue going in and now my primary and everything in it is f'ed up and maybe my engine. $2500 to break it the first time $1700 for a damn trailer i had to buy to get it back from AL, $480 for a new starter, $600 to rent a truck and drive back to MD and you dont want to compensate me in any way other than saying you will take something off for the labor! 10/21/22. Very disappointed with my service. Ordered some extended bags from these guys. No problem. Got em painted through there painter. No problem. My Issue is they charged me 260 Dollars to remove harley hardware kit and put it on the aftermarket saddle bags. I asked the representative on the phone chris. How long would it take to do that. He said about an hour. I just feel like they tell you one thing and bill You for another. This isnt the first time i have felt like i got ripped off from the place. In January i got slip on exhaust from these guys. Asked them again how long would the labor be for those. Knowing damn well it would Take 30 minutes. They charged me again for 2 hours. Purchased a set of wheels from them online. Called prior to submitting my order to verify the price and spoke with Cody who confirmed that the wheels were discounted due to being discontinued. I bought the wheels and received the order confirmation/payment receipt. Later that same day received a call saying I must pay an additional amount (more than double the price) for my order or it will be canceled. A deal is a deal. The store took payment and confirmed my order, then decided to change the price after the sale was done. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and will be seeking resolution in small claims court. Hopefully this review helps people stay away from this place. read more

I put my Harley Davidson in the shop at Eastern Performance to have a starter installed and find a oil leak which we thought was the primary cover after the starter was installed. After we took it in for the same issue, 2nd. time they said it's ready and no oil was leaking, they said ready for pick up. Well to our surprise oil leak still active. 1200.00 down the drain at that point. They said they replaced the oil cooler lines (rubber lines) well I already changed that it was new already. i was furious! They did unauthorized and unnecessary work with negative results. Wish I could give zero stars. I thought I would do the right thing and give the Local guy a chance with some business during these troubled times. But, instead of my business being appreciated I got the shaft! I needed a new battery for my bike. Nothing special, just a new battery. And while at it, why not an oil change to get ready for the season, right? Pretty simple. Until the bill came. These bandits charged $550 for a battery and an oil change. I am beyond aggravated and mad at myself for trying to support a local shop who decided to rob me like this. I will never patronize the clip joint again and would advise all others to stay away from at all costs. i had used these guys for 3years and the previous owner of my bike, an HD Ultra had been going there for 10 years, this last time in for a 50,000 mile service we agreed on items covered the young new staff gave me a price $1200.00 and $499 for a new radio, They had to have the fairing off so we agreed on 1 hour for the radio install. then the BS and padding startedthey claimed to have changed a fuel line which I showed them was the same one I brought it in with, marine grade fuel hose I know they don't use that but I do, and split looming protection with blue tape. How could they dispute that , I don't know but they did. the stereo was hooked up wrong, the back speakers are revese of what they should be and one was wired wrong so I had to re wire(change the wiring to that speaker), I protested but got no where. I filed a protest with my credit card company who ruled in my favor and then reversed the ruling 3 MONTHS later because the vendor filed a claim. The oil filter they put on, I requested a filter with hex nut end and they did not do that, they left the filter loose so the oil leaked out in 50 miles. enough, you get the Idea! This shop has gone to the birds they are a huge rip off and do not honor their word, When I brought up the speaker issue they told me to read the manual,which they did not have to give me from my brand new unit, to learn how to work it. I ordered some parts, and the wrong stuff showed up. Three emails later, requesting a phone call back, which never came. Long story short, they acted like they were doing me a favor by refunding me, but I had to pay for the shipping ($31), and told me that i "need to know what I'm ordering before I order it." I definitely know the difference between a fork slider and upper shroud. Weeks later, I finally received the rudest email ever from their "customer service" broad. My husband and I popped over to Eastern Performance for some tires for our golf cart. We saw an ad in our neighborhood newsletter. I can't say enough nice things about the guys there! They were so friendly and helpful. They gave us an incredible deal on four used tires and took care to make sure we were leaving happy. I went there years ago for an electrical/charging issue. They came up with some lame excuse why they couldn't fix it. I can't remember the exact details because its been years but still annoys me. They couldn't fix it but still charged me some BS fee. I got my bike and took it to Roy and C and C Cycle and he fixed it right on sched. as he said he would. I never went back to Eastern since that day, not even to pick up a community cycle news magazine. read more

Rarely do I post negative reviews, especially since I have already posted a negative review a few months ago. My experience however compels me to bring some things to light. This shop needs to take a serious look in the mirror at its practices. Just read the reviews from 2021 and 2022. Most are one star ratings. Why is that? My theory is lack of communication, inexperience at management level, and overall bad customer service. While my experience was a few months back, the end result still bothers me tremendously. I brought my bike in for some work and it was done poorly. My bike did not have a certain problem when I brought it in, but did upon pick up (check engine light and security key light on). I was charged three hours of labor ($119.00/hr.) to diagnose a harness plug in the wrong spot that was apparently my fault or my audio installers fault. Here's the kicker; when I got it back the other lights were off, however my gas light was on with a full tank. That light was never part of the original problem. After taking the fairing off, guess what? It was plugged in wrong. I guess that was my fault too, and I am sure I would have been charged if I took it back. After I had a S&S kit and Tmax installed, my bike still does not run right. How do you install this combination; not Dyno tune the bike and tell the customer a Dyno tune would not do much. Remember when merchants would "make it right" if something went wrong. Well now they will still make it right, however it will be at a full cost to the customer. As I stated in my last review, Eastern's will not go out of business because of me, but I will stand ten toes down and tell anyone that will listen, to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I have had two friends cancel installs that were scheduled, and three more change their mind. Saving one motorcyclist at a time. read more

Bought a set of tires. Said they would be in in 2 business days. Never got a call. Had to call them and ask if they were in 4 days later, which they were. (Why did they not call me?). Brought my rims in to get tires installed, said it would be 1 to 2 days, they said they would call when ready. Two days later, no call. So I called them to ask if they were ready and they said yes. Complete lack of communication at this place. Other than that the tires were installed properly with no problems. A little communication goes a long way. read more

Received the wrong PV and when I called up, Derek could not do enough to get me the right one ASAP. This company does care and calls back like they say they would. Rare these days! I bought an off brand set of saddlebag hardware from Eastern Performance online. When the order arrived it was missing screws, probably because it was packaged very poorly and screws had fallen out of the package because they were loose and not in bags. Yeah, I could just run to the store and buy the screws, but I already paid for them so I asked Eastern Performance to send them. I sent one email...no reply, two emails...no reply, third email...I got a shipping notification from an automated system. The screws arrived a few days later, but they were the wrong screws. I went to the store and bought my own screws. My locks were still on order with the local dealer and arrived yesterday. As I went to install the locks I discovered that the screw holes on the right side latch are not threaded. They are threaded on the left side, so this isn't a matter of a different kind of part or anything, they just didn't thread one of the parts for some reason and sent me a defective part. I sent an email asking for return authorization, and I received an email back the next day with nothing but an email address to someone else in their organization. No indication of who this person is, or whether or not they have forwarded my request to that personal. Literally, only the email address in the text of the email. I'm pretty floored at their unprofessionalism. I have emailed that person, and I'm hoping to get someone with a shred of professionalism. I'm starting to feel like I am going to get stuck with a worthless set of latches and hardware. I'm disappointed more than angry. It frustrates me when anyone doesn't have the courtesy to respond to customers, and won't back up their product. read more

I continued with purchasing the part (a surprise for my husband) the man looked it up in the book and assured me that the part would fit my husbands 2012 Road Glide. I placed an order for a 21" DNA with an Avon tire mounted from Eastern Performance on Monday. I received a call from EP (Cody, I think) confirming the bike that the order was for, as well as the dual disc/ABS. Great guy on the phone. Tuesday received a call from Brian, asking about my fender situation. He let me know that this tire wouldn't fit under the stock. I wasn't 100% sure it wasn't just an upsell, but what the hell, it's $25 and I can return it if it isn't used. Friday... I receive the wheel, gorgeous, packed well and delivered super quickly. Did the install on Saturday and was thanking god the fender lift was suggested, as it was needed and the install wouldn't have been so smooth. TL;DR: Amazing customer service and super-quick shipping. read more

I called to Price a new starter for my Harley, and was told they would need to look at the bike to confirm the cost: no quote. Three days later they call back with: needs a new starter and a price about $150 more than other shops. Told them the quote wasn't competitive and would pick up the bike. When I arrived they tried to charge $118 for troubleshooting. I told them the bike wasn't fixed and I had not authorized any work: calmly stating facts. The owner hustled over and in a Combative manner stating get your bike and get the HELL out! And DON'T EvEr come back. Not a professional sales shop and would avoid dealings. read more

Ordered part from their website via phone call. They told me part was 2 weeks backordered. 3 weeks go by still no part. Call them to find out what's up. They tell me someone would call me back the next day. 2 days later still no call. I call them back and they say part backordered another 6 weeks due to manufacturer not having part in stock from high demand. I called another dealer who said the price of the part has gone up considerably but they were available from the manufacturer. Eastern Performance flat out lied to me. They said if they sold me the part for what we had agreed on, and for the price I had ALREADY PAID, they would lose money. They WANTED me to cancel the order. Nothing worse than i liar. A liar is a thief. A man is only as good as his word. I bought my second set of mammoth spoked rims and tires for $2400.the first set i bought i had on in an hour, great! The second set came two weeks late and was missing parts .I called and told them, I told them that i needed the front spacers right away but could wait for the back. Derlick sent me the spacers overnight and said he would have the rest sent regular ups .I told him that i would try to get him pictures of the damaged boxes .A week later when i called to see where my spacers where Derlick told me that basically he wasn't going to send me anything until he got pictures of damaged boxes. So another words he lied to me over $25 worth of spacers .Its all about the dollar with these people. If he would have told me from the start ,fine ,i will have to spend a few bucks to get what i needed, but nooooo, Derlick lied to me. I will Never buy anything else from them and I will tell anyone who asks ,Derlick is a bold faced lier and eastern performance just lost another customer. read more

After being a customer for well over 10 years I ordered a part from eastern performance Ebay listing. After waiting several weeks for part to arrive, upon opening I found the part to be damaged and appeared to be previously opened. I immediately contacted eastern performance and they agreed to refund once item was returned. Item returned exactly the way it was received. I left feedback stating item took a long time to receive and when I did receive it I found it to be damaged and returned it. Received a full refund. 2 months later, October 2 I contact eastern performance via phone and go to place an order. Once I placed order I am put on hold and was then advised that my account has a hold on it. Was advised someone from bookkeeping would contact me later that day or early morning the following day. A day goes by and no return call. I contact eastern performance speak to Brian Whitmore, who advised that due to my return and the feedback that was left my account was put on hold. He advised eastern performance does want to have ongoing issues with previous unsatisfied customers. Spent thousands of dollars in past and now over an $80 item my account is suspended from future orders. Dont want negative feedback dont sell damaged parts. With over 10 years as a customer perhaps I should have been contacted by someone from eastern performance but I have to be told upon placing my next order and than nobody contacts me to address the issue. I placed my order with another reputable company, AMERICAN CLASSIC MOTORS in Pennsylvania where I have also been a customer for over 10 years. Not a good way to handle your customers by not addressing the issues and just blocking their account. Explained my dissatisfaction to Brian Whitmore in 2 emails.
